Proverbs 21:

Pleasing God.

We can bring God all kinds of things, but if we do so with a false heart, it's hypocritical. It's Hypocritical to not have a "right heart" before Him and to have the audacity to "bring Him things". It's downright insulting.

The bottom line, is that we'd best not even THINK about approaching the living God unless we "fear Him", and our heart REFLECTS it.

Otherwise we're bringing to the living God the equivalent of "dirty rags" and in all our audacity, to have the gall to be "proud" of it, just like Cain was.

Cain was REAL "pleased" with himself.

Only thing was, God wasn't.

Proverbs 21:

Heart Condition.

It's about the "heart", not what we do outwardly, or bring "things" to God as if it doesn't matter what is deep in our hearts when we do. God wants our HEART to be "right". Otherwise we might as well leave it alone. God reads our "hearts", not our "actions". This is why Cain's "sacrifice" was rejected. The bottom line is that Cain was stiff-necked and brought an abomination right to God's face, and that was symbolic of his giving no heed whatsoever to what God Himself said was acceptable to Him. It was blatantly dismissive of God. He had no regard for God and no fear of the Lord.

There is no way to "do what is right" without the "fear of the Lord".

When we "fear the Lord" and thus "obey" Him, we are deemed "righteous".

THAT is what defines a man as "righteous" in God's eyes.

Proverbs 21:

Praying For Our Leaders.

3328.gif

We are not admonished to pray just for our own country's leaders, but for ALL the leaders, in each country, the world over. For it is GOD Who has the "final say" and can turn the heart and intentions of our country's leaders, and leaders throughout the world, and even monarchs and kings.

Therefore we are to pray and lift each leader and each country up to our God, Who can change hearts, minds, and souls, and therefore world events.

Amen?

Proverbs 21:

Hardening our hearts.
AKA: Stubborn, hardened hearts will be the "death of us".

"He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy." ~Pr 29:1

Note: Noah's ark comes to mind when i read the above verse.

Let's avoid at all costs, through God, who strengthens and sustains us, any rebellion, stubbornness, and thus "hardening" of our hearts, and the consequent "distancing" ourselves from our God, who LOVES us, and is a GOOD Shepherd, and will guide us, and thus enabling us to avoid ALL the pitfalls that we are so prone to stumble into.

Let's THANK Him and celebrate Him, that He is SUCH a GOOD Shepherd, and a GOOD God, and a GOOD Father, amen?

Proverbs 21:

Righteousness.
AKA: Hypocrisy.
AKA: When God vomits.

"To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice." ~Pro 21:3

God wants nothing to do with our "sacrifices", our "songs" or our "words" or our "prayers" when they are rooted in, and stem, from an un-righteous heart that has no "regard" for Him, and does not "fear" Him. It insults Him.

Empty "sacrifices" that mean nothing, are an anti-blessing to Him, and as it is written, "weary" Him. The hypocrisy alone is enough to cause Him to vomit.

In other words, it "makes him sick". Literally.

"Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:" ~Isa 29:13

"This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me." ~Matt 15:8

"So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." ~Rev 3:16

Proverbs 21:

Blood on Our Hands.
depositphotos_39773569-stock-photo-hand-print.jpg

"Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor will also cry out and not be answered." ~Pr 21:13

We are admonished time and time again to not turn our eyes nor our ears from the cries of the poor. Let's take this a bit further than the obvious "cries of the poor" in their distress, to those that are not necessarily "audible" or "seen" by us.

That would be the cry of the most poorest, vulnerable, helpless, and tiniest amongst us. Even if "we" can not "hear" their cries, God surely does.

We are admonished to rescue those being led to the slaughter, and to speak up for and save the innocent from wicked men.

The blood of the innocent is what God hears, just as He heard Abel's blood crying out to Him from the ground after Cain murdered him in cold blood, and just as He hears the blood of the martyrs crying out to Him. ALL of this spilled blood "cries out to God" for JUSTICE.

"Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter." ~Pr 24:11

Proverbs 21:
God Has The "Last Word".
Although our "leaders" in this country, and monarchs, kings, and queens the world over may seemingly wield great power and control, it is God that has the final say.. He may ALLOW them, what seems like "free reign" for a "season", and appear to be "silent" during this agonizing time of corruption, injustice, and deadly evil, YET it is not man that determines final outcomes. It is God Who does.

As it is written in Ecclesiastes, there is a time and a purpose for everything under the sun.

And God STILL is "ruling", watching, and "timing" it all, even if it seems that He is absent. He allows evil, corrupt leaders and monarchs to run amuck.....

BUT in His own perfect timing, He sets the brakes on them, and they either have a change of heart, or He simply "removes" them.

He will "steer" them whichever way He chooses, in His own perfect timing.

"The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: He turneth it whithersoever He will." -Proverbs 21:1
