It is glory just to walk with Him!
I invite him along on a daily basis. "Father, would you walk with me today? That would be great!"

I heard the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and repented of my sins and asked His forgiveness. He forgave my sin and gave me new life through His death and resurrection.

My Saviour lifted me out of the mud and mire of sin. He set my feet upon the solid rock and He promises that He will never leave me or forsake me. What a Saviour!

Here's another new thread inviting people to share their testimonies on how they came to faith in Christ.
How appropriate, the request for testimonial! Thanks Anthony!! So many wonderful points of inspiration!

Every time I approach this to contemplate, the more natural it becomes though it seldom is exactly as before on account of being “renewed day by day”, whether a one-time event or a chronological checklist that changes with intensity and priority, ultimately doesn’t really matter, what matters is what the Lord is to us as God grants the most accurate understanding and whether we have humbled ourselves as a little child to receive Him? I feel, it is in this humbling that the Lord’s strength to “overcome” the wicked-one appears.

Just barely old enough to read while having a bowl of cereal one morning, that familiar plaque I had seen so many times before with a long-haired, bearded man with an accompanied verse, John 14:6, claimed another heart.

And that strength for me looking back, was put to use for everything it had to offer in three simple experiences, One, a 12-yr time-span of a albeit one-verse, ill-equipped experience, followed by two, my making a public profession for Christ and water-baptism including being discipled by a one-on-one youth-Pastor’s study of God’s word. But it wasn’t until another eight-yrs past that the third experience brought it all into a more clearer understanding, as well as a personal help to overcome all my earlier rebelliousness that had crept in; the separate receiving of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost in a well equipped AOG Church was just the advantage I had spent my life in search for. Praise the Lord!

If I had to summarize what these three chapters meant from the one-verse > to all of God’s council > to the final asking for His promised yet separate gift has taught me is this; the level of responsibility the Lord places upon all those who instruct is to this day at such a low concern I think is ripe for His shaking us up and out of that lack of vigilant and critical attention required to carry the message of “promise” of not only salvation, but the forgotten power!

I had heard Billy Graham on tv as a kid and would feel convicted but never followed through. When I was in the USMC in the chow hall a guy sat down and gave me a tract. I told him Id read it after he was gone cause I thought it was cult stuff. When I read the gospel tract it was as if I had just gained my sight or drank water for the first time. That night I was the Duty Sgt for our barracks and the guy came by and I accepted Jesus as my Savior. Through the years I had a long period of walking away but Ive found it's much better to live in a way seeking Gods plan for my life than living any other way. I still remember that Marine's name, Ed Stephens.

When I was a young pastor,we had a Trade Union Regional Secretary come into our church. He was a Marxist,but after coming for a few weeks,responded to the gospel appeal and accepted Christ,as Saviour and Lord. He grew in grace and later in time entered into full-time ministry. Christ turned his life around!

I have noticed that oftentimes those who are running away from God are actually circling back toward him. At the point when they look as far away from God as we can imagine, they come around the last bend and run right into him. The very God they were running away from. Like Saul on the road to Damascus.

When I made my confession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ,it was'n't long before my friends saw a difference in me. My sister started to come to church with me and many school friends trusted in Christ as Lord. My great joy many years later was to see my mother and father coming to church and also accepting Christ,as Saviour and Lord. My parents had first said 'it was a phase I was passing through',but they realised as time went on that it was the real thing. Christ really does change lives!

That was what surprised me...My parents were amazed at the change in me and before long they had given their lives to the Lord...exciting times...

many great, positive testimonies. my spiritual journey has not been so straightforward. a lot of wreckage along my backtrail. i hope I can do better in the future than I have before.
We want to hear your testimony.
I know of a few guys that had a rough go of it as well. But they turned out alright in the end. So persevere and you will get there. Sounds like you are on the right track.

One of the guys I am talking about sunk so low as to be persecuting the church. The other one outright denied Christ in public. You may have heard of them. One was the Apostle Paul and the other was the Apostle Peter. You seem to be in good company.

God doesn't call the equipped. He equips the called.

yes, peter and paul messed up. i'd never compare myself to them at all. they didn't do it over and over for years. the truth is that I don't have any idea if i'm even saved anymore or if I can be. I am a perpetual backslider and I cannot seem to break it.

I appreciate your humility, honesty and transparency.
The Apostle Paul struggled with the same thing.

Romans 7:19
For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have good news for you. You can make a fresh start.
Lamentations 3:22-24
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Take it one step at a time. When you fall, get back up and keep going.
Identify the lies of the enemy and replace them with God's truth about you.
Use this scripture to stand against the enemy.

James 4:7
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
