Helps to heat the house. Environmentally friendly as well.

Most of those contain chemicals and inks and glues/binding agents...definitely not environmentally friendly to burn. Even burning regular dried wood can pollute the environment and cause poor air quality when there are too many people in an area relying on wood burning heat. Where I live, they have burn ban days and not only in the summers...depends on the air quality and even then burning is only allowed in super efficient wood stoves that burn as much of the "residue" as possible.

Burning is less polluting than recycling. It also reduces the need for fossil fuels.

Recycle it.

There is so much unneeded waste paper that municipalities are dumping it in landfills, and some are burning it. It was only a matter of time. China doesn't want it as Americans are unable to stop mixing it with garbage and other trash.

Producers will have to make paper that burns cleanly (organic inks?). Problem solved.

Why America's recycling industry is in the dumps

The main problem is that Americans just don't care. :(
