Please pray for my marriage. My husband is an over the road trucker. He packed up his things a month ago and plans on coming to get everything in the next 2 months and leave me. I think this all started when he almost wrecked his truck. I dont understand what he is going through but I love him and want to fight for this marriage. Please pray for us.

Praying for you my sister. God can breathe new life into your marriage. I've personally seen Him do so in my marriage and others. Keep praying for your husband and for God to tug at his heart and bring him home. God bless you both.

I pray for God to draw you together with strong ties of love and grant you both the rich experience of knowing Christ with real certainty and clear understanding.
Dear Father, bring him home to where he is loved, in Jesus name

Today is my birthday... it also marks 1 month since he left. I tried calling yesterday but got his voicemail. My anxiety is up and all I want is to hear from him. Prayer is the only thing getting me through the day. I have the next few days off work and I'm dreading them and being in this house alone. I dont have close friends or family nearby. Please just continue to pray for us.

I wanted to thank those of you who have been praying. There was contact! Lol it wasnt good but it still gave me hope. Several days ago I sent him a text msg about some things that were weighing on my heart. I felt like what I said needed to be said. After several days he responded but twisted things around. I know that doesnt sound good but I realized with his response that this is actually a repeat of an old issue that seems to come up a change in our relationship. He has been hurt so many times in the past that whenever he feels a wall coming down, he runs. Please continue to pray for us. Please also pray that he some how comes in contact with good christian mentors while he is on the road. Thank you so much.

Thank you for sharing your post with us. I’m sorry for what you are going through. These forums are great for sharing burdens, and venting. Even in the darkest moments in our lives there’s always hope. Praise God that you ask for prayers. Those who put their trust in the Lord, it will never be defeated. Have you considered to ask your DH why his near-accident incident would cause him to leave the marriage? What was the trigger to push him to make that type of decision? I’m glad to know that you want to fight for your marriage. Have you considered of seeking marriage therapy or Christian counseling? Have you ever heard when couples or spouses married each other they bring their own baggage, that does mean they bring their own wounds from their own families? Please I encourage you to be more understanding with him in the storm. Have you ever read the book ‘Love Dare’ by Alex Kendrick? This is a 40 days challenge for husbands and wives to understand and practice unconditional love. The author Alex Kendrick has written and produced the movie Fire Proof. This movie is very inspiring for spouses. We are calling not to fight with our spouse rather it is always worthy to fight for our marriage or relationship. Let me tell you that there’s a verse in the Book of Proverbs that it says: Kindness and prayer change the hearts. I hope this helps. Definitely count with our prayers. Sending you hugs. . I will keep you in my prayers, my sister in Christ.

grace4ever,
Thank you for your post and prayers. I did check out the love dare book but find it difficult with no communication between us. I'm still trying. We did talk about the almost accident but I have to admit it doesnt make sense. It was like it didnt make sense to him either. All I can do is go off of what he did say and what I know to be true. I know he is the same age now as his father when he died. He said "i never expected to live this long". He also said "everytime i climb into that truck, i know it could be my last." So, death is definitely on his mind. There is baggage from his previous relationships too. Which means he is probably worried about me and what I'm doing. There is much more... I know he is hurting, confused and scared. I know he needs time and patience. I'm trying. I have dealt with depression and anxiety in my past. Since this started in january I've had mood swings and panic attacks. These are not helping things. I keep trying and keep praying.

I want to encourage you to hang in there! I hear the desperation of your heart, and so does God. He WILL get you through this even though you may feel like you're about to crumble sometimes. His strength is limitless. Continue to lean on the Everlasting Arms. He loves you so much!

I am struggling tonight. We have kept our banking seperate because of his work. Today I received our bank statements and I see that he spent a week in Galveston and spent over $1000. I broke down crying cause all I can think is there is someone else. I had a friend tell me not to go to the worse case scenario. That he could have just gone to help keep his mind off of things. I'm so conflicted. I think back to when he left, when he said that he loved me, the look in his eyes when he said goodbye and I know without a doubt that he loves me. He has always been so honest with me but I find myself wondering if I'm just being a fool.
