My Make a Story 2

Amiko's eyes bulged and his mother let out a scream before fainting. Amiko, having dealt with a similar situation before on the way to the dojo, rushed to her bag and rummaged for the first aide kit. Sure that he was still alive, she applied some disinfectant and antibotics on his wrist and throat before bandaging them up as best she could. She laid him flat, as to keep too much blood from being lost, and glanced at his fainted mother. There wasn't much that she could do for her, except wait until both of them woke up. She glanced once more at Kudo, too drained to show emotion. She moved to a corner of the room and faced the wall, in thought. He said he'd never try to hurt himself again! He cut his wrist and tried to KILL himself! Such a selfish man. Did he think I would be uneffected? Didn't he try to see his mother's point of view? If he survives, I SWEAR I will forbid him from carrying a weapon until I know he's resolved his issues. Doesn't he know that when he tries to hurt himself, it hurts me even more? She wanted so badly to cry, but she couldn't. Instead, she could only get angry.

The angst within Amiko was building. It was unfortunate that Kyuui would address her at such a time. She whipped around, fire in her eyes, and snapped at the other woman with a shrill voice no one had ever heard from her before, "I DON'T KNOW!!! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!" She had somehow refrained from any name-calling, since the poor thing had nothing to do with what she was brooding over. She turned back towards the corner, trying to return to her mental rants. A moment later, an elderly figure faded into the room. The old witch scanned the room, seeing a stunned Kyuui, Kudo's unconscious mother, a dying Kudo, and an angsty Amiko. She tapped Amiko's shoulder. "I said LEAVE ME ALO-...Rokia?" she shrieked, but halted in surprise at the sight of her old ally.
The woman didn't waste any time getting to the point. "I saw a vision of tragedy and followed the energy flow here. It seems as if Sonny-boy here reunited with his mother and after a tense conversation, slit his own throat...Am I right?"
Amiko nodded, a lump formed in her throat from the woman's accuracy. Rokia continued, addressing Kyuui this time. "Girl, I need you to go to the other room and inform the others that there is no need to worry, but keep them out of here. Also, please use the mat to drag this lady out, until she reaches conciousness. It needs to be just the three of us for now." With that said, Rokia turned to Kudo and took out a bag. She sprinkled a mixture of dust, pedals and leave over his head and torso. She folded her hands and recited a prayer chant. To Kudo's point of view, it felt as if he had been lassoed and was being pulled back into the world of the living. With the cuts healed up, Kudo's heart restarted beating and he was breathing again. Rokia stood. "My work here is done. It's up to you now, Dear," she said, clapping her hands and vanishing. Amiko's face was blank in disbelief. She returned her gaze towards Kudo and watched him to reawaken.

After a period of several hours, Amiko was growing impatient. "Really, if you don't wake up soon, I'm going to have to bury you," she told him bitterly. She was almost kidding. Exhausted from watching him, she took out a ball of white yarn and an unfinished project and sat in the corner to knit. As the yarn unwound, so did her nerves.

Hearing him groan, Amiko looked up from her knitting. "So, you're alive after all, huh?" she commented before resuming her knitting. "Rokia popped in and saved you. You slashed your wrists and slit your throat. Kudo...the next time you want to commit suicide...would you please put a little THOUGHT into it first?" Sure she was relieved that he was alright, but at the moment, she was too angry and upset to show any such emotion. "Such a selfish man..." she muttered. It would not be easy to gain her forgivness, but it wasn't impossible. If only he showed some sort of remorse....
