You know what I don't get? Trump's people are saying that if they appear before a Congressional hearing, it's a "perjury trap."

But it's only a perjury trap, if you lie to them. And it should be. That's why perjury is a crime.

They are also allowed to consult with their attorney when they testify if they need to.

Like the Judge said, it's about letting the American people hear and see for themselves. I think there is doubt that the Mueller report will be presented to the public without many redactions. I know I didn't get the feeling from Barr that he was worried about making it as transparent as possible.

Judge Napolitano explains why Cohen is probably telling the truth

The fact that 50% of the American public believes Michael Cohen, as opposed to only 35% for President Trump, says it all - when the Commander-and-Chief has less credibility than a convicted liar and felon, how much longer are Republican politicians willing to support "a lost cause!"

Where did you get those numbers from? Thanks

Americans Trust President Trump Less Than Admitted Liar Michael Cohen, survey states
March 6, 2019

American voters rate President Trump less trustworthy than his former attorney Michael Cohen, according to a Quinnipiac University poll that was conducted in the days following Cohen’s high-profile testimony before Congress.

Cohen, a disgraced and disbarred attorney who pleaded guilty to lying before Congress in 2017, returned to a House panel last Wednesday to admit to his own misdeeds, while calling Trump a “racist,” a “con man,” and a “cheat.” Trump in turn blasted Cohen on Twitter for what he called his head-spinning “lies.”

In the court of public opinion, most Americans are siding with Cohen, according to the poll of 1,120 voters surveyed between last Friday and Monday. By a margin of 50% to 35%, respondents thought Cohen was more trustworthy.

Given this President's lack of credibility, this can only encourage America's enemies to create a crisis with the country "saddled" with a Commander-in-Chief who lacks the moral leadership to unify the nation!

Thanks. I don't trust polls very much but this is pretty stunning.

Lets look closer. According to one poll, the Quinnipiac Poll (who?), American voters believe Cohen more than Trump 50 - 36 percent. But only a minority of them think Cohen told the truth 44 - 36%.

This looks more like a poll that samples public opinion on which of the two men the respondents are pulling for, that's all.

No matter how conservatives try to "spin" the recent Quinnipiac Poll, a convicted liar and felon should not have more credibility than a sitting President - by 15 points!

The Quinnipiac Poll also found that:
*****************************************************
- American voters say 64% to 24% that President Donald Trump committed crimes before he became president
- they are divided 45% - 43% as to whether Trump has committed crimes while he has been President
- Congress should do more to investigate "Michael Cohen's claims about President Trump's unethical and illegal behavior," voters say 58% to 35%
- American voters give Trump a negative 38% to 55% job approval rating
- voters say 65% - 30% that Trump is not honest, his worst grade ever on that character trait
- Trump negatively polled 39% - 58% that he has good leadership skills
- 39% of voters felt that this President cares about average Americans, 58% held a negative opinion
- only 22% felt that Trump is a good role model for children, 71% polled disapproved
- despite a good economy, only 49% approve of his economic policies, 45% disapprove
- 38% approve of this President's handling of foreign policy, 56% disapprove
- 40% polled approve of Trump's handling immigration issues, 58% disapprove

In other words, they think Cohen is a liar, but they think Trump is a bigger liar. Which is pretty well informed, isn't it?

As the judge says, crooks in that position are unlikely to lie, because the consequences are certain.

Does the American public know Cohen was coached by Schiff's team for 10+ hours before the hearing? Doubt it.

Did Adam Schiff's team coach Michael Cohen?

Fox says they think maybe it happened, and you believe it? Sorry, the Judge is way more credible.

Remember, he lies once under oath, and his deal is gone. And that's decades of jail time.

Which is why most Americans aren't buying what Fox is selling.

Do you buy Cohen's own testimony to Rep, Jim Jordan corroborating the meetings?

"During last month’s seven-hour public hearing before the House Oversight Committee, Cohen hesitantly acknowledged, under questioning from Ohio GOP Rep. Jim Jordan, that he had spoken with Schiff "about topics that were going to be raised at the upcoming hearing."

And so.......what? Why do you think that is a problem?
