As a New Zealander, I want to express my appreciation for all the prayers, and words of support and sympathy for the victims of this horrible and sad tragedy. We may have disagreements with the doctrinal foundations of the Muslim faith, but these innocent people did not deserve to have their place of worship descrecated and their men, women, and children brutally murdered and wounded in the way they were.
There has been an overwhelming flood of support from all New Zealanders, which I am sure that the Muslim world will really appreciate and that the Muslim people will not see that ordinary New Zealanders are in any way responsible for the tragic events that have overtaken these innocent people who were just worshiping their God and honouring their prophet.
