The only potential problem I see is if the unbeliever sets wrong conditions on their donating the money and the money then is used to control them. This is generally more of a risk with any major donor, there are churches that face this with rich believers and it's bad enough with that. As long as the charity is committed enough and stubborn enough to go by Biblical teachings over a donor's whim however, it's not a problem.

Also, I should add that not all suggestions are bad. It's when the donor wants to turn the charity from the Word either to the left or the right when we have a problem.

Should they accept donations despite it being against their beliefs or just let the devil pay for it?
Hi Mathinspiration, if atheists donate money to Christian organizations (like Samaritan's Purse, for instance) w/o any strings attached, why shouldn't we accept their donations (if their intention is to help others with their donations)?

If, on the other hand, they expect a church, or an organization like Samaritan's Purse, to simply provide physical/emotional aid to people (food/shelter/clothing/medicine/etc.) w/o ever mentioning Jesus, the Gospel and/or the Christian faith to them, then the money would, of course, be returned to them.

Yours and His,
David

I think we should get as much of the devil's money we can and use it to promote the kingdom of God, save souls, get people healed, and demons cast out.

There is the story of a godly elderly woman who was going through financial difficulties and who used to stand on her porch and cry out to God for help to provide food for her. This happened day after day, and an atheist neighbor decided to get one over her, and left a large box of groceries on her front porch. The elderly lady came out, saw the groceries and started praising God loudly for His provision to her. The athiest called out, "There is no God! I put those groceries on your front porch!" The elderly lady prayed again and said, "God I really thank you for providing these groceries for me and allowing the devil to pay for them!!"

Hi Oscarr, that reminds me of the Exodus somewhat, because when Pharaoh finally permitted the Israelites to leave Egypt with Moses and Aaron, God saw to it that they did not leave there empty-handed .. Exodus 3:21, 12:35-36.

A nonbeliever could be getting blessed in the process. Possibly he or she has come to trust you or an organization and sees this is where to give money. And then the person could go the rest of the way to give one's own self to Jesus.

You can say, oh we want you more than your money; Jesus wants you. But thank you :) And you can talk with the person about what the money is used for; this can help you to share about Jesus, plus to be an example to the person.

When the king of Sodom offered Abraham a reward for rescuing his people from captivity Abraham refused to accept it, saying that if he did take it the king could claim the credit for making Abraham rich. This same principle should apply in accepting money from unbelievers. All the glory should go to God alone. Some of the responses spoke of using the devil's money to carry out God's work. God owns all the wealth that exists; he doesn't need anything that belongs to the devil.
