Newsmax, huh? LOL... This will give me a hearty laugh tomorrow morning as I walk to my office in midtown Manhattan.

Hey, you have to go where the stories are to find the good ones.

I guess no one has a fact that would rebut the premise that NYC is in financial trouble. The cost of housing and the source doing the reporting are both irrelevant to a city government's insolvency.

From the NY Post cited in the link

As tax-fleeced businesses and individuals flee en masse, and city public spending surges into the stratosphere, financial analysts say Gotham is perilously near total fiscal disaster.

Long-term debt is now more than $81,100 per household, and Mayor Bill de Blasio is ramping up to spend as much as $3 billion more in the new budget than the current $89.2 billion.

But I thought the economy was doing great and everyone had good paying jobs now, unemployment was a thing of the past and we could all thank our fearless leader for getting things back on track.

Was I mistaken?
No, it's just that God is punishing NYC for not burning AOC as a witch.

Also it's because only godless America-hating liberals live in NYC.

Except for Donald Trump, of course. He's the exception.

And this weekend when I go window shopping along Fifth Avenue.

Ah, but only those who show proper reverence and respect fearless leader are blessed... NYC has forsaken Donald.

It can’t possibly be because of the Democratic leadership and the highest tax rates in the US and overspending.

Any facts disputing this?

Just an FYI. When I moved from NY, the state not the city, to move to Oklahoma for school, my income in my new job was the same gross as the previous.

My take home pay went up 18%
My property taxes went from 5,400 a year to 1,400. For a larger home with more land.

Bloomberg - Are you a robot?

Yeah, but you had to live in Oklahoma. Doesn't sound like a good deal to me.

New York mayorships have been in non-Democratic hands 20 of the last 25 years.

Yeah, but you have to live in Oklahoma.

Yup 300 days of sunshine, a winter that lasts five weeks max. It snowed a whopping 1” totaccumulation this winter, low property taxes, low state taxes.

Great isn’t it!
