It would be a real shame to confuse those students by providing facts that cause them to think for themselves.

Banning speakers, either conservative or liberal, in order to protect the poor children from being confused? The students themselves should be insulted to be treated in such a fashion. It's demeaning them by insulting their intelligence.

Why?

It's 'divisive' to have students hear anything other than what the administration wants them to hear? This ought to be a red flag for anyone who has given even a passing thought to the idea of earning a degree, or buying one, from Grand Canyon University.

Imagine learning about Copernicus' theory of the universe without mentioning the Ptolemaic view? Or studying Aristotle without hearing anything about Plato?

There was a time where differing ideas no matter how controversial were welcome at Universities. I remember my university hosting Jesse Jackson in the same week as Jeane Kirkpatrick.
