What specifically constitutes a sin concerning the Sabbath? I think there are many that would like to know. If you don’t believe it’s a sin to go to Church on Sunday, rather than Saturday then please share with us, what does specifically cause a person to sin concerning the Sabbath? Is it a sin to travel or work, or cook on the Sabbath? Please share with us how you observe the Sabbath.
JLB

What does God's 4th commandment say?

EXODUS 20:8-11 [8], REMEMBER the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> [Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day] [9], Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: [10], But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God [This is a direct reference from God's Word defining what the Sabbath is; The SABBATH = the SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK]: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY> [11], For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and RESTED THE SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and MADE IT HOLY.

A conversation goes two ways. I have answered your questions earlier while you are ignoring mine despite asking you the first questions a number of times already.

Did you wish you answer the questions in the OP? Where is the scripture in God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day?

God's 4th commandment is one of God's 10 commandments that give us the KNOWLEDGE of what sin is when broken *ROMANS 3:20. According to God's WORD if we break any one of God's 10 Commandments we stand guilty before God of SIN *JAMES 2:10-11.

According to God's WORD all those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will not enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN *HEBREWS 10:26-27 because they reject the gift of God's dear son *ROMANS 6:23. OBEDIENCE to God's LAW is not how we are saved it is the FRUIT of God's work in us as we BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD through love. If our faith has no fruit it is dead *JAMES 2:18-20; 26 and our tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire *MATTHEW 3:10; 7:19-20; 13:49-50.

It is JESUS that says all those who KNOWINGLY follow the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God are not following God brother not me *MATTHEW 15:3-9. Who then do we BELIEVE and FOLLOW God or men *ROMANS 3:4. Yep I know who I believe. You provide your own words. My words are not my own but God's WORD. It is the Word of God that will be our judge come judgment day *JOHN 12:47-48.

Now where is the scripture that says God’s 4th Commandment has now been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day?

Again, you mix up the shadow with the substance, for it is written:

Well that has no truth in it brother. As shown earlier through the scriptures, you mix up your SHADOW laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT for remission of sins in the OLD COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 with God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) that give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS in the OLD and NEW COVENANTS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172.

To prove this point further let me ask you a question and if you can honestly answer these you will see what is being shared with you from the scripture above is correct.

GENESIS 2:1-3 [1], THUS THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH WERE FINISHED, and all the host of them.[2], And ON THE SEVENTH DAY God ENDED HIS WORK which he had made; and he RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY from all his work which he had made. [3], And GOD BLESSED THE SEVENTH DAY, and made it HOLY <the 7th day>: because that in it he had RESTED from all his work which God created and made.

NOTE: The SABBATH was made on the SEVENTH DAY of the CREATION WEEK v2 and was a part of the FINISHED work of CREATION v1 that God BLESSED, SET APART and SANTIFIED BEFORE SIN when mankind was in perfect harmony with God and BEFORE any SHADOW laws from God's plan of salvation and the MOSAIC BOOK of the OLD COVENANT.

Now please answer this question honestly

Q1
. How can God's 4th Commandment SEVENTH DAY SABBATH be a SHADOW law when it was a part of a FINISHED WORK of CREATION, BEFORE SIN had entered the world and BEFORE God's plan of salvation was given to mankind when mankind was in PERFECT HARMONY with God?

God's 4th commandment is one of God's ETERNAL LAWS (10 commandments) that give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTOUESNESS in both the OLD and NEW COVENANTS AFTER the fall of mankind when ADAM and EVE ate from the tree of the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL. Therefore it is IMPOSSIBLE that God's 4th commandment of the 10 Commandments that give us the KNOWLEDGE of what SIN is when broken can be a SHADOW of anything!

"Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to satisfy." (Matthew 5:17)

This scripture testifies against what you are saying brother. Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets. God's WORD does not teach lawlessness in both the OLD and NEW COVENANTS. Those in the OLD COVENANT were destroyed by doing so in both the surrounding nations and those of God's people that partook of the same sins.

Hope this helps.

"For the Law, since it has [only] a shadow of the good things to come [and] not the very form of things" (Hebrews 10:1)

Thanks for posting this scripture, however it does not support your claims that God's ETERNAL LAW (10 Commandments) that give us the KNOWLEDGE of what SIN is when broken *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4 in the NEW COVENANT has been abolished. Why are you only part quoting the scripture here in HEBREWS 10:1? The part you leave out shows your application is in error. This scripture actually supports what is being shared with you and that is you mix up your SHADOW laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT for remission of sins in the OLD COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 with God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) that give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS in the OLD and NEW COVENANTS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172.

Let's look at the scripture you quote from HEBREWS 10:1 and add the rest of the CONTEXT you leave out to show what the SHADOWS and SUBSTANCE are?

HEBREWS 9:1-12 [1] Then verily THE FIRST COVENANT HAD ALSO ORDINANCES of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.... [9] WHICH WAS A FIGURE FOR THE TIME THEN PRESENT, IN WHICH WERE OFFERED BOTH GIFTS AND SACRIFICES, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;[10] WHICH STOOD ONLY IN MEATS AND DRINKS, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.[12] NEITHER BY THE BLOOD OF GOATS AND CALVES, BUT BY HIS OWN BLOOD he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

HEBREWS 10:1-9
[1], FOR THE LAW HAVING A SHADOW OF GOOD THINGS TO COME, AND NOT THE VERY IMAGE OF THE THINGS, CAN NEVER WITH THOSE SACRIFICES which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
[2], For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
[3], But in those SACRIFICES there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
[4], For it is not possible that THE BLOOD OF BULLS AND GOATS should take away sins.
[5], Why when he comes into the world, he said, SACRIFICES AND OFFERINGS YOU WOULD NOT BUT A BODY YOU HAVE PREPARED FOR ME:
[6], IN BURN'T OFFERINGS AND SACRIFICES FOR SIN YOU HAVE HAD NO PLEASURE.
[7], Then said I, See, I come in the VOLUME OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME, to do your will, O God.
[8], Above when he said, SACRIFICES AND OFFERINGS AND BURNT OFFERINGS AND OFFERINGS FOR SIN YOU WOULD NOT, neither had pleasure therein; WHICH ARE OFFERED BY THE LAW;
[9], Then said he, See, I come to do your will, O God. He takes away the first, that he may establish the second.

NOTE; the LAW in reference here is NOT God's ETERNAL LAW (10 Commandments) but the SHADOW laws of sin offereings from the MOSAIC BOOK of the LAW *DEUTERONOMY 31:24-26 from the OLD COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 (Please look at the attached scriptures). Can you see your error here brother?

Sorry brother God's WORD does not teach lawlessness in both the OLD and NEW COVENANTS.

According to God's WORD in the NEW COVENANT God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) is the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNES *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172.

There is no scripture is there? If there is no scriprture for this tradition why do you not believe God’s WORD?

There are a whole lot of your words in your post, and your words are not in agreement with God's Word. In your post, the 1 John 3:6 quotation contains extra words for here is what you wrote "Whosoever abides in him SINS NOT [does not break God's 10 Commandments]: whosoever SINS [breaks God's 10 Commandments] hath not seen him, neither known him" but the NASB states "No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him". Either your bible is corrupt or you added words to that quote. The words in 1 John 3:6 that you supply are not in accord with the Greek manuscripts.

Not at all. I only added in my words in brackets everytime the word SIN was used so you would know they are my words from the KJV of

1 JOHN 3:6 [6], Whosoever abides in him SINS NOT [does not break God's 10 Commandments]: whosoever SINS [breaks God's 10 Commandments] hath not seen him, neither known him.

This was added because the CONTEXT of 1 JOHN 3:6 defines what SIN is in

1 JOHN 3:4 [4], Whoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for SIN IS THE TRANSGRSSION (breaking) OF THE LAW.

This definition of what SIN is can be shown also in other scriptures from PAUL and JAMES..

ROMANS 7:7 [7], What shall we say then? is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I HAD NOT KNOWN SIN, BUT BY THE LAW: for I had not known lust, EXCEPT THE LAW HAD SAID YOU SHALL NOT COVET.

ROMANS 3:20 [20], Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: FOR BY THE LAW IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF SIN.

JAMES says it this way..

JAMES 2:8-12
[8], If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well:
[9], But if ye have respect to persons, YOU COMMIT SIN, AND ARE CONVINCED OF THE LAW AS TRANSGRESSORS.
[10], For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
[11] For he that said, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, said also, DO NOT KILL. Now if thou commit NO ADULTERY, yet if thou KILL, YOU ARE BECOME A TRANSGRESSOR OF GOD'S LAW

PAUL, JAMES and JOHN all agree that if we break any one of God's 10 commandments we stand guilty before God of SIN as SIN is defined as breaking any one of God's 10 commandments. So no brother my bible is fine. Do you believe the scriptures here where JOHN, PAUL and JAMES all agree that SIN is breaking anyone of God's 10 commandments?
So when I have added in brackets to show that I have added this into the scripture the definition of what sin is why do you say there is a problem when it is God's WORD thart defines what sin is?

1 JOHN 3:6 [6], Whosoever abides in him SINS NOT [does not break God's 10 Commandments]: whosoever SINS [breaks God's 10 Commandments] hath not seen him, neither known him.

All the above are God's WORD brother not my words and it is Gods WORD that disagrees with your words. God's WORD does not teach lawlessness in both the OLD and NEW COVENANTS.

I’m asking you a question.

How do we observe the Sabbath today, so that we don’t sin by breaking the Sabbath?

How do you keep from breaking the Sabbath?

There are people that would really like to understand better about this.

Can you help by answering what constitutes a sin concerning the Sabbath today?

Not at all,

You try to force your narrow interpretation upon God's Word in Exodus 20:2-6. In order to expose your error, here is the full passage:

2 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
3 "You shall have no other gods before Me.
4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth.
5 "You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me,
6 but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

Now, verse 5 and 6 can stand alone as a complete sentence which carries this meaning:

"You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments." (Exodus 20:5-6)

In your narrow interpretation, you try to impose Exodus 20:5-6 to define the meaning of Exodus 20:4. Your interpretation defies the grammatical construct of God's Word! Verse 4 is a complete sentence that stand on it's own with:

"You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth." (Exodus 20:4)

There are two separate "You shall not" sentences.

Exodus 20:5-6 does not preclude the meaning of Exodus 20:4 as a stand alone sentence and command of God because Exodus 20:4 is exactly a command of God. At the same time, Exodus 20:4 adds meaning to Exodus 20:5-6, but Exodus 20:5-6 is leaning on Exodus 20:2 and/or Exodus 20:4 yet the reciprocal is not valid particularly because of the grammatical contructs of God's Word which can be seen in "Grammatical Explanation of Exodus 20:2-6 Post for the Logical Conclusion to Keeping the Old Covenant Law Post" (in this thread), with this being the "Logical Conclusion to Keeping the Old Covenant Law Post" (in this thread) in which a drivers license or some ID with a likeness of a person who keeps the Law of the Old Covenant remains logically and lexically correct.

God is the Master Orator, and God means what God says. I am thankful to God that I am free of the Old Covenant (Hebrews 8:13) by the power of the Blood of the New Covenant of Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 22:20), this Lord of the Sabbath that satisfies the Law (Matthew 12:8, Matthew 5:17)!

You have bound yourself to Exodus 20:4 because you have bound yourself to Exodus 20:8. You have bound yourself to the 10 commandments. James wrote "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one [point], he has become guilty of all" (James 2:10).

At the same time that you have expressed your defiance of God's Word regarding Exodus 20:4 with your narrow interpretation of Exodus 20:2-6, at the very same time, you try to bind/teach/impose the words of Exodus 20:8-9 on we children of God whom are not bound by the Old Covenant as revealed by God's Word in "Exclusively Scripture With Bible Citations Post" (in this thread) clearly showing God's Word explaining believers covered by the Blood of Jesus of the New Covenant are not bound to the Old Covenant which includes the 10 commandments for the Lord Jesus said that He satisfies the Law which includes the 10 commandments as recorded in Exodus 20. The Lord Jesus satisfies the Law which includes the 10 commandments (Matthew 5:17); furthermore, the Lord Jesus established "the New Covenant" (Luke 22:20) and that when He said, "A new [covenant]," He has made the first obsolete (Hebrews 8:13).

You were being deceptive in the "AN EXPOSURE OF YOU TRYING TO LITERALLY ADD THE 10 COMMANDMENTS TO THE WORDS OF THE APOSTLE JOHN IN 1 JOHN 3:3-15 POST", and as scripture states, a little leaven does leaven the whole loaf; meanwhile, you committed that deception during the time that you have been trying to twist Exodus 20:4 into your narrow interpretation.

Listen to these words, for in the Word of God is life eternal:

"Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to satisfy." (Matthew 5:17)

"For the Law, since it has [only] a shadow of the good things to come [and] not the very form of things" (Hebrews 10:1)

"And in the same way [He took] the cup after they had eaten, saying, 'This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.'" (Luke 22:20)

"When He said, 'A new [covenant],' He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear." (Hebrews 8:13)

Not at all brother, only showing the scriptures that show God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments)
...snip
Again, it is your words not God's Word that bears false witness against me as you try to bring into question my, a born again believer, salvation.

God's Word in the "Exclusively Scripture With Bible Citations Post" (in this thread) clearly shows God's Word explaining believers covered by the Blood of Jesus of the New Covenant are not bound to the Old Covenant which includes the 10 commandments for the Lord Jesus said that He satisfies the Law which includes the 10 commandments. And working on clean up, food prepartion, and washing, The Lord Jesus Commands and Defends Work by People on the Old Covenant Sabbath Post is quite clear that we believers in the New Covenant are not bound to keep the 7th day sabbath as recorded in the Old Covenant. We believers in the New Covenant have our rest in the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise be to the Lord Jesus Christ!

I suggest you go back and re-read the scriptures brother. This is what I have been sharing with you.
...snip
Your words try to get people to keep the 7th day sabbath as recorded in the Old Covenant, but your words are not in accord with God's Word.

Respecting lawlessness, it is lawlessness not to keep Jesus' words as is shown in this passage (Matthew 7:12-27):

12 "In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
13 "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.
14 "For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
15 "Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
16 "You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn [bushes] nor figs from thistles, are they?
17 "So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 "A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.
19 "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 "So then, you will know them by their fruits.
21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven [will enter].
22 "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'
23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'
24 "Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.
25 "And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and [yet] it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
26 "Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
27 "The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell ? and great was its fall."

Treating people the same way you want them to treat you is the Law and the Prophets (verse 12) and the Law includes Old Covenant which includes the 10 commandments.

The person bearing good fruit does what Jesus says otherwise it is lawlessness (verses 17, 18, 22-27).

Don't forget that Jesus satisfied the Law including the 10 commandments (Matthew 5:17), so that we believers are free in Jesus with the Holy Spirit giving us Godly fruit (John 3:21)!

Keeping the Old Covenant is not what Jesus said to do; on the other hand, God's Word in the "Exclusively Scripture With Bible Citations Post" (in this thread) clearly shows God's Word explaining believers covered by the Blood of Jesus of the New Covenant are not bound to the Old Covenant which includes the 10 commandments for the Lord Jesus said that He satisfies the Law which includes the 10 commandments.

Believers are indeed covered by the BLOOD of JESUS in the NEW COVENANT. This is the fulfillment of the SHADOW laws of SIN offerings and animal sacrifices in the OLD COVEANANT. As shown through the scriptures only sent in love as a help to you brother, you mix up your SHADOW laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT for remission of sins in the OLD COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 with God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments)

Again, you try to impose the shadow on the substance, but God's Word shows that you are wrong.

Here is the Word of God speaking:

"For the Law, since it has [only] a shadow of the good things to come [and] not the very form of things" (Hebrews 10:1)

Well that has no truth in it brother.
There you go again, saying that God's Word has no truth in it! I quote God's Word!

Praise the Lord Jesus who satisfies the Law which includes the 10 commandments! The 10 commandments are part of the Old Covenant. The "The Ark in the Old Covenant and the New Covenant Post" (in this thread) clearly shows that the Ark of the Covenant with it's contents are part of the Old Covenant which is obsolete, and that Spirit-filled believers inherit the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Blood of the New Covenant covers us believers thus we believers love that which Jesus loves and we believers hate that which Jesus hates, and we believers are moved to action by the Holy Spirit and therein is Godly fruit.

Not at all. I only added in my words in brackets everytime the word SIN was used so you would know they are my words from the KJV
...snip
In the above referenced post, you admit to adding your words to the KJV your post #1683, but you added your words without explanation at the time of the your post thus your words corrupt the 1 John 3:3-15 scripture in your post #1655 because YOU DID NOT EXPLAIN IN THE POST. Because you include your words right in the scripture, you add to the scripture in an attempt to redefine the meaning of the scripture. Even if you explained about your bracketed words which are mixed right into the scripture with an explanation somewhere outside of the 1 John 3:3-15 scripture that contains your bracketed words the fact remains that your words that are not in the Greek manuscripts would be intertwined in a deceptive manner. You added to scripture. Period.

Again, here is the this post which discredits your interpretation of scripture that includes a line by line comparison of your words added to scripture (or your bible) versus the NASB of 1 John 3:3-10 which clearly discredits your interpretation.

Neither Romans 7:7 nor Romans 3:20 indicate to perform the law, so Paul does not say to perform the Law there. Rather Paul wrote "love is the fulfillment of [the] law" (Romans 13:10).

James 2:8-12 does not indicate to keep the Old Covenant Law for the Lord Jesus gave the commandments of DO NOT KILL and DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY when He said:

"You know the commandments, 'DO NOT MURDER, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, DO NOT STEAL, DO NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS, Do not defraud, HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER.'" (Mark 10:18)

Notice that Lord Jesus did not say to keep the sabbath!

Now back to James, with James knowing Jesus' words, was very specific with the commandments that James mentioned in accord with Mark 10:18.

You conflate knowledge of sin, performance of commandments, and justification by faith. It is your words that disagree with God's Word by your persistent misapplication of scripture in an attempt to convince us children of God to keep the 7th day sabbath which is part of the Old Covenant. Your words try to manipulate scripture (see above for evidence/proof).

Listen to the Word of God, the Lord Jesus Christ:

Great. So that clears that up.

Is there anything else we need to do on the Sabbath, like abstain from work or not cook or not travel?

Maybe you could share how you observe the Sabbath?

JLB
I would really like to hear an answer from them to those questions!

JLB

Indeed you are, as posted earlier a conversation goes two ways. I asked you questions first but answered your questions first and yet you have ignored my questions and the OP here. I will be happy to answer your questions further once you answer my questions relating to the OP here.

Not at all brother. The scriptures and posts provided and only sent in love as a help to you show that it is your interpretation of God's WORD that is in error not God's WORD. If we find that our interpretations of the scriptures contradicts other scriptures on the same topic it should be a warning to us that we do not understand the scriptures correctly. God's WORD does not contradict itself.

Believers are indeed covered by the BLOOD of JESUS in the NEW COVENANT. This is the fulfillment of the SHADOW laws of SIN offerings and animal sacrifices in the OLD COVEANANT. As shown through the scriptures only sent in love as a help to you brother, you mix up your SHADOW laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT for remission of sins in the OLD COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 with God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) that give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS in the OLD and NEW COVENANTS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172. If you do not know what the OLD COVENANT is how can you understand what the NEW COVENANT is that the OLD COVENANT points to? This has already been addressed with the scriptures most recently and elswhere in post # 1611 linked. Ignoring God's WORD does not make it disappear.

JESUS did not satisfy the law so that we are now free to break it. JESUS satisfied the law and the prophets because the SHADOW laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the OLD COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 pointed to JESUS in the NEW COVENANT and JESUS who is our example OBEYED from the HEART through LOVE God's ETERNAL LAW (10 Commandments) in order to be our prefect sacfice to all those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD so that we through faith alone might have FORGIVENESS of our SINS so that we through FAITH in God's WORD that works by God's LOVE in is can be free to follow him who calls us in LOVE to love another.

Sorry brother God's Word does not teach lawlessness. The GOOD NEWS of the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST is that we have a Savior to save us from our sins not to continue in them.

The role of God's ETERNAL LAW in both the OLD and NEW COVENANTS is to give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTOUESNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172.

It is your understanding of what you believe the OLD COVENANT is that is the problem. If you do not know what the OLD COVENANT is how can you know what the NEW COVENANT is that the OLD COVENANT points to? You mix up your SHADOW laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the OLD COVENANT with God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) that give us the KNOWLEDGE of what SIN is in the NEW *ROMANS 3:20.

According to God's WORD in the NEW COVENANT God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) is the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNES *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172.

Your words try to get people to keep the 7th day sabbath as recorded in the Old Covenant, but your words are not in accord with God's Word.

Not at all brother. Only God's WORD is provided to you and you provide your own words. That is why you cannot show any scriptures that show that God's 4th commandment has been ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday.

The role of God's ETERNAL LAW in both the OLD and NEW COVENANTS is to give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTOUESNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172.

As posted earlier in the post you snipped out, I suggest you go back and re-read the scriptures brother. This is what I have been sharing with you.

MATTHEW 7:22-23 [22], Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works? [23], And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work INIQUITY. (KJV)

This GREEK word INIQUITY is also translated as LAWLESSNESS in some other bible versions
The GREEK word used here is ἀνομία; anomia (G458) From G459; illegality, that is, violation of law or (generally) wickedness: - iniquity, X transgress (-ion of) the law, unrighteousness.

So the GREEK word used here ἀνομία; anomia for the english words of INIQUITY or LAWLESSNESS means to be without LAW breaking God's LAW or SIN.

Sorry brother God's WORD does not teach lawlessness which means to be without law and breaking God's Commandments (SIN) *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; JAMES 2:10-11.

According to God's WORD in the NEW COVENANT God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) is the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNES *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172.

"When He said, 'A new [covenant],' He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear." (Hebrews 8:13)

Here is a good idea. How about we add the complete post that you snipped out that provides the context back to the post you are quoting from :)?

The very scriptures you are quoting here disagree with you; Think not that I have come to destroy the law or the prophets... *MATTHEW 5:17

I would really like to hear an answer from them to those questions!

Hmm why would you need to have any more of your questions answered when you will not respond to a single question asked of you here in the OP or in the posts and scriptures provided here only in love and as a help to you? A coversation goes two ways. Only God's WORD is true brother and we should believe and follow it over the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God. JESUS says all those who KNOWINGLY follow the teachings and traditions of men are not following God not me *MATTHEW 15:3-9. I know who I believe and follow, how about you *ROMANS 3:4; ACT 5:29. If you do not KNOW what the OLD COVENANT was how can you understand what the NEW COVENANT is that the OLD COVENANT pointed to?

According to God's WORD in the NEW COVENANT God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) is the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNES *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172.

There is no scripture is there? If there is no scriprture for this tradition why do you not believe God’s WORD?

Something to think about.

We are in the NEW COVENANT now brother not the OLD COVENANT. No one is telling you to live in the OLD COVENANT. If no one is telling you to keep the OLD COVENANT why pretend that they are?

According to God's WORD in the NEW COVENANT God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) is the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNES *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172.

Nope they are indeed God's WORD not my words and they disagree with your words.
As shown earlier through the scriptures, God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) give us the knowledge of what SIN is when broken *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4. It is God's WORD alone that show us who those who are that are following God and those who are not *1 JOHN 2:3-4; 1 JOHN 3:3-10. Linking to these scriptures it is JESUS that says elsewhere;

MATTHEW 7:16-23
[16], You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
[17], Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit.
[18], A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
[19], Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
[20], Why by their fruits you shall know them.
[21], Not every one that said to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.
[22], Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works?
[23], And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.

All those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will not enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN *HEBREWS 10:26-27 because they reject the gift of God's dear son *ROMANS 6:23. OBEDIENCE to God's LAW is not how we are saved it is the FRUIT of God's work in us as we BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD. If our faith has no fruit it is dead *JAMES 2:18-20; 26 and our tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire *MATTHEW 3:10; 7:19-20; 13:49-50. We are saved by GRACE through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God *EPHESIANS 2:8.

Sorry brother God's WORD does not teach lawlessness in both the OLD and NEW COVENANTS.

Hope this helps
