Is it wrong that I keep Shabbat and do not "go to church" on Sunday?

Everything the Bible says about the Sabbath it says to the Israelites.
Were you a slave in Egypt?

That is true of the NEW Covenant Jer 31:31-33 - but not true of the Sabbath Isaiah 56:6-8, Isaiah 66:23 -- I think we all knew that by now..

Even your own Sunday scholars admit that the Sabbath was made for MANKIND and not just Jews. As we all already knew by now.

Why do you suppose the Apostles didn't understand that concept?

Galatians 5:1
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Acts 15:10
Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear?

Neither of those texts say that "Do not take God's name in vain" or "The Sabbath day made for mankind" was a "yoke of slavery".

More exegesis please. Less creative writing and speculation.

Nope, I don't forget.
Genesis says the day was set aside, yet no human observed the Sabbath until Ex.16.

Wild speculation? Christ said it was "made for mankind" and Ex 20:11 says it was made in Gen 2:1-3.

bible details matter.

using your logic "no human knew not to take God's name in vain until Ex 20:7"... that sort of speculation is not even remotely Bible exegesis... and we all know it.

The statement was poetic, not informational. Contrasting ideas.
The Sabbath was created for man, not man for the Sabbath.
The point is that man is more important than the Sabbath.
Not that the Sabbath was created for EVERY human.

Was His statement on divorce also "poetic"??

What does that say about me?
There is no way to get around the divisiveness of this issue.
Don't you have a reason that doesn't condemn everyone else?

I am not condemning anyone...

Nope, I don't forget.
Genesis says the day was set aside, yet no human observed the Sabbath until Ex.16.
Then you quote Jesus saying the "Sabbath was created for man...", while ignoring his actual point. Man is more important than the Sabbath. (speaking to Jews)
Then you sidestep Deut.5:15 which tells us who the Sabbath is for.
(the Israelites, who were slaves in Egypt)
The scriptures that tells us that the Sabbath was a sign between God and Israel is ignored.
The scripture that tells us the law is obsolete is ignored.
The scripture that tells us the law was our jailer until Christ came is ignored.
Shall I continue?

See again you can't say "until Sinai" because it is clear it was PRIOR to Sinai...The Sabbath IS a sign between The Almighty and Israel. But again, that does not mean that Yeshua meant MANKIND. We are both just circling the same points.

"...again"? -- I have NEVER said "until Sinai".
The Sabbath was introduced to the Israelites alone in Ex.16 as part of the manna collecting week. When the Ten Commandments were given, they were still collecting manna, and still collecting twice the amount on the sixth day, and still eating it and staying home on the seventh day.

I'm glad you agree.
Quote the passage in question. Let's compare. Thanks.

I don't :) that was my point. He says that there was no divorce in the beginning. So if marriage began then, Shabbat did too...

Shabbat was in effect BEFORE Sinai and the 10...that was my point...the manna was before the 10.

Really?
Why do you keep the Sabbath?

I already told you. If your conscience condemns you, well...
I am already getting excited because Shabbat is tonight! You should try it! :)
Shalom!

Huh? In the beginning of what?
You seem to be misappropriating all sorts of things to make your point.
If Moses created the divorce certificate, then it didn't happen before that.
How does that put the Sabbath in Genesis?

My conscience does not condemn me.
But if you claim that the seventh day is God's Holy Day, what does that say about all other days? (condemns them)

Don't get too excited. You'll be under self-imposed house arrest for 24 hours.
Tomorrow you'll be eating today's food. Cold. Can't light a fire or turn on a light.
Can't write a letter, or turn on the TV, or computer. Sounds like fun. (not)

He said about divorce..."it was not so in the beginning"...so that was BEFORE Moses. The beginning...when do you think that was?

"I" am not saying it...The Almighty said it...read Genesis! House arrest LOL! Where do you get this stuff from? I can use electricity as long as it does not produce a flame. I wish you would know the joy of Shabbat.

Not sure why you are trying to connect divorce/marriage and the Sabbath.
