I believe these passages are concerning 70ad Jerusalem [if they are still yet future, then I suppose the Jews will have to go thru another "70ad holocaust"]

This passage in Ezekiel 22 is interesting.
Here Yahweh says He is going to gather the Jews into the "furnace" of Jerusalem

I believe one way to gather the Jews into Jerusalem would be during the feast of the Passover, which just happened to be when Titus sieged Jerusalem in 70ad:

So does a regular explosion. But " the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together" isn't the same as an explosive cloud rising up...this is heaven departing not a cloud.



Stars in scripture are angels so this is the heavenly host descending on the day of wrath which is the second coming and God doesn't use human made nuclear weapons as he has his own ways to deliver wrath.

Heaven departing as a scroll being rolled together is the same as a cloud asceding fromthe earth into the heavens.
Its described as a cloud as well.

Revelation 11:12 And the witnesses heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Come up here." And they went up to heaven in a cloud as their enemies watched them.

As you can see, they go to the mountains because they are hoping the earthquake will cause rocks to fall on them so they can die without suffering the wrath of God. Plus, islands and mountains are not destroyed by nuclear bombs. This is something far greater and more destructive than man's nuclear weapons.

Its actually called te abomination which causes desolation in scripture and the armed forces of the king of the north places it.

Jesus said the abomination that causes desolation would cause great tribulation such as never was nor ever shall be.
