Did I get this right, that we are saved by grace: Ephesians 2:8-9

And that we receive glory from works: Revelation 20:11-15

Or are we like drone bees in a hive with all the same glory?
It's for love--
15“If you love me, keep my commands. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be c in you. 18I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
John 14 NIV

1At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”

2He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.
Matthew 18 NIV

My understanding is that without faith in God to work your works, your works are pretty much worthless. Therefore, glorification is about faith, not about works. This is how I read the NT. All Jesus' parables require faith as a backdrop. John 3:21

Can you please point me to scripture about glorification or help me understand? I read this and am a little confused: 1 Corinthians 15:40-42, 2 Corinthians 12:2

Thanks :)

I'm not quite sure what you are confused about. The 1 Cor. 15 passage is about the resurrection, which is the glorification of all Christians in which there are degrees of glorification - Dan. 12:3 "some will shine like the stars of heaven." The 2 Cor. 12 verse is about Paul's visionary experience, which is an extraordinary and exceptional event.

The faith chapter (Heb. 11) is telling us that our faith is a fundamental aspect of our relationship with God. Rom. 3:22 tells us that faith in Christ pleases God, in which He declares us righteous. Phil. 3:9 and Rom. 9:30 concur.
Rom 3:21-22 But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction
Phil. 3:9 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith
Rom 9:30 What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, attained righteousness, even the righteousness which is by faith

Then 1 Jn. 3:2 says that we don't really know what glorification will be like, but when we see Christ (in the resurrection), we will be glorified like Him in some way. Glorification is a change in the physical nature such that the spiritual nature is intensified and manifested.
1 Jn. 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.

At that time, we will "eat of the tree of life" (Rev. 2:7), which may be the same as "partaking of divine nature" (2 Pet. 1:4). However, we partake of divine nature now in some way, since by faith in Christ and His words of spiritual wisdom, our character changes to a more Christlike state. But in resurrected and glorified bodies, that nature will be greatly intensified. It will no longer be hidden by mortal flesh, but will be revealed transparently.
Rev. 2:7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.
2 Pet. 1:4 For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.

If this doesn't answer your question, could you be more specific?
