What's your garden like at this time of year?

That sounds lovely and also exciting, Sue. Can you believe I have never grown any flowers from bulbs? Well, there have been bulbs in the soil in gardens we have had, but I have never literally planted any myself. I really must have a go as I do love flowers so much and hang out for the first spring flowers, like daffodils.

If I can grow them anyone can, js!

My fingers are not exactly 'green'. If you planted about March or April would that be the right time for spring blooming?

I bought a little flower pot today and some parsley seeds.

The parsley is for my favorite black swallowtail caterpillars. I think these caterpillars are beautiful, but if you touch them they'll spray you with an awful odor.

I've never seen one like that Phoebe Ann. A lovely picture, but obviously not a good idea to get too close to them!

Well, the first time I saw them I had been planning to use the parsley in my kitchen. I was amazed by those colors! Since then I've planted lots of parsley over the years just so I could see them. I haven't done it for a couple of years so I'm looking forward to seeing them again.

I wondered why I kept seeing a pigeon go past my window every few minutes yesterday. Look what I found when I walked out onto my balcony! I don't want to disturb them, but keep peeking out of the window to see how they are getting on!

Winters are too cold for camellias here, but oh, how I love them! They're incredible and I like the leaves, too.
