We have always been self-supporting as we served as pastor, elder, deacon, youth minister, scoutmaster, Bible teacher, and evangelist. We don't handle snakes on purpose or speak in tounges. God told me I messed up trying to learn Spanish when I was in Cuba so bad He was not letting me mess up glossa. My adopted parents were church organist song leader piano players. I could never play anything or sing. We have served in public schools as teachers, homeless food banks, missions, street ministries, homeless veterans chaplain (my favorite) and local churches of small to medium and started a few in peoples homes and public buildings. We have medical issues we are dealing with but are working through them. We do not want any of our neighbors to be hungry or in need. We are here to care for them on a personal level as we care for each other.
Prayer has guided us thru the years and we came here by doors closing and windows of opportunity opening. We prayed and then looked and this place we are now living fit the season we are in. We know God is not finished with us as yet. I asked God for something big to do for the kingdom. God said to take care of my wife of 47 yrs. I figured Billy Graham passing would open up a top spot for me! God said No, I will have my hands full if I care for her as good as she cares for me.

Classify us as Radical Followers of Jesus. We know we have doctrinal differences, we love a good debate but run from arguing over rules and rituals. We follow the model of Pricilla and Aquila. We teach a repentant believer is immersed for the forgiveness of sins. Acts 2.
That is the belief in Jesus and his gospel results in the act of obedience to all the commands of Jesus as one follows or belief results in choosing to rebel against God's plan. We do not believe in coexisting of world religions. We see religion as corrupted. People are in darkness because they follow rules and rituals from mixed up covenants, pagan rituals, and temples of tradition. I refer to the early ekklesia as up to 125-150?CE. Anything past that is historically spurious and suspect to our thinking after intensive study of the early church writing pre-Nicene. We agree with the Nicene Creed as written but reject any authority that requires it to be recited or pledged to. We only confess Jesus Christ as the way, the truth, and the life. So much tradition and mixed covenant rules and rituals have divided us. Like the history of the Christian Churches and Churches of Christ. Divided over musical instruments, how silly!, I enjoy the teaching of David Platt, Francis Chan, Andy Stanly, Max Lucado, Ravi Zacharias, and a few others. In essentials, we are saved by Grace, by Faith to serve the King!
This may not be the place for us as we are rejecting denominations, divisions, and divisive or abusive organizations claiming to be of Jesus or Christian. Semper fi!

Is that a requirement? Command? or promise? Yours is a difficult question to answer with a few words.
John the Baptist prophesied that Jesus would baptize with the Holy Spirit (and fire)
