I am a sinner. They are not grave sins but nonetheless insults to the Lord, especially since I commit them willingly. I even tend to rationalize them. It makes me highly uncertain about the pureness and prospect of my soul. So I don't deserve to be this Happy Felix I keep calling myself here. I confessed those sins to a priest and even he thought it was not so bad for me, and he saw logic in the process of committing them. I pray for wisdom, strength, and - it can't hurt - a lot of mercy.

Keep presenting to the Lord your failures and shortcomings. That He gives you the love, grace and strength to be filled by the Holy Spirit.

That you also will not give opportunity to feed the flesh.

God promised victory, but you and I have to claim the authority to win the skirmish. The battle was already won at Calvary, but you and I must claim the skirmishes and the victory. To claim the victory and take the authority of Jesus, you and I must stand firm on every promise of God as given to us in the scripture. For it written:
  • Isaiah 54:7, “No weapon formed against you will prevail”
  • 1 John 4:4, “The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”
  • 1 Corinthians 15:57, “Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through the Lord Jesus Christ”
  • 2 Corinthians 2:14, “But thanks be to God who always leads us in a triumphant procession in Christ Jesus”
  • 1 Corinthians 10:13, “No temptation as ceased you except what is common to man and God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bare but when you are tempted, He will provide a way out so that you can stand up under it”
I find that I have victory over sin in my life when I approach each day acknowledging how capable I am of sinning or falling into sin. I admit every single day that I’m capable of lust, vain imagination, deceit, stealing, cheating, and laziness. And by approaching each day by admitting my vulnerability to sin, I find that I am in a better position to guard my heart and live by all the applicable promises of God that He gave me in order to have strength and victory over sin.

I thinks its fair to say, 'we all sin'.
I also sin frequently, however Jesus died for our sins so we could be saved. We sin and we repent to a loving God who won't turn His back on us. At times, sinning can feel like the right thing to do; sometimes this can be the easiest option too!
God will not desert you, however its important to confess your sins to a priest with you belonging to the Catholic denomination.

When at private prayer at home ask Jesus for forgiveness and ask Him to help you with your struggles. He IS faithful and will complete His work in you.

Philippians 1

Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

May the Lord send His Holy Spirit and provide wisdom, strength and assurance. Amen

God Bless.

Thanks to your and my praying I feel much more determined to lead my life as it is intended, i.e. holy. Thanks a lot dear brothers and sisters. I may need some occasional confirmation but I feel much better and stronger now.

What also helps me a lot is reading about saints who demonstrated determination and holiness.
