• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I don't want to be alive right now haha

Everything is too noisy. I had to spend 300 bucks today, one to get a parking pass (why?! I'm already paying 20k yearly, that should be an inclusion), and then to buy that bridesmaid dress for a wedding I do Not approve of.

Like, I'm glad my brother found someone. But their politics are so, so on opposite spectrums. Her mother is part of a group he hates to the point he dehumanizes them by calling them Its.

I love my brother but. She can do so much better.

heh brothers... one of mine recently been going through a drug problem. he went homeless, got jumped by three guys then got hurt by some swat guys cause they said he looks like a suspect they were searching for. when i'm homeless I won't let evil people get away with their evils even if I fail to stop them. life is still pretty good and yet bad at the same time. hope everyone is doing okay. I don't really want to go on but i'm fine.

Really awkward. I just went out to mail birthday cards for Lady Bug and Squeakers and I ran into my high school English teacher. After saying hello to him I avoided him further because I didn't want him asking about the cards. He was a great teacher, but is somewhat old-fashioned and won't use the Internet for anything. I just thought explaining why I bought the cards and whom I'm sending them to would make for a weird conversation. I'm also concerned he might think I was being rude to him. :(

We travelled almost 7000 km to get something i need but now because of some bureaucratic rules we couldn't get what we came to get. So hopefully this can get sorted without having to travel to Sydney again.:sick::sick:

We stayed in a 5 star hotel for 2 nights only because it was very close to where we had to go. It cost us an arm and a leg. The first night we arrived just before midnight we had no hot water. But the suite was very nice and seclude from the city noises with beautiful views of Sydney harbour. (we picked that room on purpose.) They shifted us the next morning into a new suite with hot water but then we had all kind of noises come out of the drainpipes and a lot of city noises. The views were terrible - rooftops of the lower buildings below us and massive high rise buildings instead of a harbour view. We weren't happy.

The travels went smooth with some delay at take off on the way back but they gained time on the way back so we were still in time at our destination.

All being well i get what i need out of this trip, at least we got 30 days to get it organised. Didn't get much sleep last night as it was so noisy so i'm totally exhausted now. An early night i reckon.

Good to be home again.

Glad you are home safe. I was under the impression you were driving, not flying.

Sounds like you spent a chunk of change. Pity you were unable to keep the room with the nice view. I’ve seen pics of the harbor and opera house and they’re cool.

I hope you can get things resolved as to not have to go back.

Despite my begging and many complaints, they're not moving me to a different dorm for the rest of the semester. I can only hope for a better placement next fall semester, provided I choose to continue at this college.

I've developed a twitch anger reaction at the sound of stomping and slamming. It went from freezing fear to just outright anger, I threw my chair a couple nights ago at 2 am because everyone was being so aggravating. Stop slamming your door.

I'm passing all but one class, so there's that.

I think I am hitting rock bottom. My physical and mental health are at a low point and the people at church can tell my spiritual health is suffering too. I asked my mother if we can try again with therapy.

Praying for you brother. Good to know you're looking for something that might help. I sure hope you'll get to that therapy. Let us know how it goes. Hang on in there, one day at a time. Christ be with you.

Hello Everyone I'm still around just been busy with getting a new dryer for the house the other one well, died the motor locked up and so playing catch up on clothes n bedding had to buy a bedding due to mine was in the wash wasn't planning on the dryer to go bleh the day I was washing sheets..... I'm sure some thing was teaching me penitence or the dryer decided it was time to say bye. But blessed we were able to get a new dryer in spite having to go to laundry mat to do our clothes that's stressful enough. My depression is gotten a tad better more energy has picked up, although now headaches have come with vertigo.. lovely. NOT I have to sit for a bit let meds kick in and pray the vertigo goes away so I can function through the day, although I do need call my Neuro for this new symptom I've had vertigo before but not with headaches so we'll see what is up with that and I'll call my audiologist to and see what is up as well. Prayers for all of you who are struggling I pray we all have good time and get through as God helps each of us every day as we ask of him. Blessings.^_^

Sorry you are dealing with so many situations at once.

We’ve never had kids/ grandkids but we are on 2 acres outside Lindale and between the house and property there’s ALWAYS things I look for that need fixing. Never ends. We try to have a financial cushion for the “emergencies”, and I am pretty good with my hands but certainly not an expert.

I’m usually smart enough to know what I can’t fix and need an expert with the right tools. I will brag, lol, that I never attempted to tear apart anything I couldn’t reassemble back to working order.

Hope you are enjoying our beautiful Texas weather, if only briefly. But as you know, there will be 70 degree days very soon and more often. God bless; you do very well handling the tough situations that come up in your life. You are an inspiration!

That is awful brother, i've been there plenty times myself to know what a hell hole that can be. Try to cultivate good life into your depressed reality. That is how i learned to get out of my pit. i would contemplate God's loving designs and all the promises made i would put my faith in, even though my depression fought up against God's good life. This made it clear to me that depression truly is part of the enemies design to get us under.

Therapy could also help a lot as long as it involves good Christian counselling.

Praying for you brother.

God's blessings

anxiety is the name of the game for the most part. I only left the house 7 times or so in one year, it was great. by some miracle I still have a little bit of savings but I can't delay forever. thankfully I won't start off being homeless in the winter.

yep still here in the year 20.... XIX.
