The Sabbath was 'made for MANKIND' Mark 2:27
"from Sabbath to Sabbath shall ALL MANKIND come before Me to worship" Isaiah 66:23
Isaiah 56:6-8 gentiles specifically singled out for Sabbath keeping
It is a sin even for gentiles to "take God's name in vain" -- to this very day.
What is the context of MK 2:27? Is Jesus teaching other to keep the law or sabbath with that statement? What you're doing is requiring other to keep the law with your other two passages. What new covenant is Jesus referring to in LK 22:20? Is it the law (famous 10) which is the covenant made with Israel in the desert after departure from Egypt? How? Jeremiah says -

not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt;

So that covenant law can't be what is written on the heart as you'll say. Remember Moses says the covenant was written in/on stone tablets. Jeremiah doesn't talk about stone tablets. Jeremiah talks about the contents on those stone tablets.

So essentially you're not talking about Mat 5:17-18.

We find the temporary nature of the Sinai Covenant below.

In Galatians 3:16-29 Paul says the Sinai Covenant was "added" 430 years "after" the promise made to Abraham "until" the seed(Christ) could come to whom the promise was made.

Exo 34:28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

Deu 5:1 And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.
Deu 5:2 The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
Deu 5:3 The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.

We find below that the New Covenant is a higher standard of conduct than the Old Covenant.

Mat 5:27 "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY.'
Mat 5:28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
.

Brother, your mixing up the SHADOW laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the OLD COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 with God's ETERNAL LAW in the NEW COVENANT that give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHOTEOUSNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7: 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172.

Your only telling half the story in relation to what the OLD COVENANT was.

THE ETERNAL LAW OF GOD AND THE SHADOW LAWS OF THE OLD COVENANT

The OLD COVENANT was made up of both God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) and the MOSAIC BOOK of the law *DEUTERONOMY 31:24-26; EXODUS 24:7. Together these were housed in the ARK (house) of the COVENANT. Both God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) and the SHADOW laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the OLD COVENANT had different purposes.

1. GOD'S ETERNAL LAW
(10 Commandments) spoken and written by GOD himself to his people on two tables of stone. (Exodus 20:1-17; 32:16; 32:28) God's LAW was not made by Moses it was made by God alone on two tables of stone and nothing was to be added to it (Deuteronomy 4:1-2). God commanded Moses to keep the Tables of Stone separated from the Mosaic book of the law and both were to be housed in the ARK of the Covenant (Deuteronomy 10:5; Deuteronomy 31:24-26). The purpose of God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) was to give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTOUESNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; JAMES 2:10-11; PSALMS 119:172

That is why God's LAW is referred to in the scriptures as God's LAW or the 10 commandments and not the 613. (Exodus 34:28; Deuteronomy 4:13; Deuteronomy 10:4)

and...

2. The MOSAIC BOOK OF THE COVENANT FOR REMISSION OF SIN spoken and written by MOSES to God's people in the BOOK of the COVENANT (Deuteronomy31:9; 24-26; Exodus 24:3-4; 7; Colossians 2:14-17; Deuteronomy 29:21). This is were the other 603 laws were held many of which were SHADOWS pointing to Jesus and God's plan of salvation and fulfilled in Christ. The purpose of the sin offerings, Levitical Priesthood, ceremonial Sanctuary laws were given if someone broke any one of God's 10 commandments. They were prophetic in nater pointing to JESUS and God's plan of salvation in the NEW COVENANT.

......................

THE SHADOW LAWS OF THE MOSAIC BOOK WAS PART OF THE OLD COVEANANT

EXODUS 24 [7], And he took the BOOK OF THE COVENANT, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD has said will we do, and be obedient.

DEUTERONOMY 29 [21], And the LORD shall separate him to evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the COVENANT THAT ARE WRITTEN IN THIS BOOK OF THE LAW.

DEUTERONOMY 31 [26], Take this BOOK OF THE LAW, and put it in the SIDE OF THE ARK OF THE COVENANT of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against you.

2 KINGS 23 [2], And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and HE READ IN THEIR EARS ALL THE WORDS OF THE BOOK OF THE COVENANT which was found in the house of the LORD.

2 KINGS 23 [3], And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their heart and all their soul, TO PERFORM THE WORDS OF THIS COVENANT THAT WERE WRITTEN IN THIS BOOK. And all the people stood to the covenant.

2 KINGS 23 [21], And the king commanded all the people, saying, KEEP THE PASSOVER OF THE LORD your God, AS IT IS WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF THIS COVENANT.

2 CHRONICLES 34 [30], And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the priests, and the Levites, and all the people, great and small: and HE READ IN THEIR EARS ALL THE WORDS OF THE BOOK OF THE COVENANT that was found in the house of the LORD.

2 CHRONICLES 34 [31] And the king stood in his place, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, TO PERFORM THE WORDS OF THE COVENANT WHICH ARE WRITTEN IN THE BOOK.

.................

CONCLUSION: The OLD COVENANT was made up of two sets of laws which included 1. GOD'S ETERNAL LAW (10 Commandments) and 2. The MOSAIC SHADOW laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT.

Both these sets of LAWS had very different PURPOSES under the OLD Covenant.

1. GOD'S ETERNAL LAW (10 Commandments) where to provide a KNOWLEDGE of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS.

2. The MOSAIC SHADOW laws from the BOOK OF THE COVENANT of laws and ORDINANCES which included the CIVIL, CEREMONIAL and ECCLESIASTICAL laws were laws for the REMISSION or FORGIVENESS of sin which included the Leviticial PRIESTHOOD and ORDINACES for sin offerings for the SNACTUARY SERVICE. PRIESTHOOD, SACRIFICAL SIN OFFERINGS for FORGIVENESS OF SIN.

.................

GODS ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) ARE FOREVER

The Law of God (10 commandments) which includes the 4th commandment is the work of God (Exodus 32:16) whatsoever God does is forever nothing can be added to it or taken away (Ecclesiastes 3:14).
God's Law is perfect converting the soul (Psalms 19:7).
It is the very standard of the Old and New Covenants (Exodus 20:1:17, Hebrews 8:10-12).

God's Law was spoken by God himself to His people (Exodus 20:1-22). Jesus says Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away (Matthew 25:35). Gods Law is still in force today (Psalms 111:7-8, Revelation 12:17, 14:12, 22:14, 1 John 3:5-8, 1 John 2:3-4 etc.). The Law of God reveals sin to us so we can see ourselves as we truly are sinners in need of a Saviour (Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4).It is the great standard of the judgement (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31). God's Law is our teacher revealing sin and the character of God and brings us to Christ at the foot of the cross that we might be saved by faith by Him who loves us and washed us in His own blood (Galatians 3:24; Revelation 1:5). Jesus came not to abolish the law, but to fulfil it ( Matthew 5:17-20 ). The law is the embodiment of truth that instructs ( Romans 2:18-19 ). It is "holy" and "spiritual, " making sin known to us by defining it; therefore, Paul delights in it ( Romans 7:7-14Romans 7:22). The law is good if used properly ( 1 Tim 1:8 ), and is not opposed to the promises of God ( Galatians 3:21 ). Faith does not make the law void, but the Christian establishes the law (Romans 3:31), fulfilling its requirements by walking according to the Spirit (Romans 8:4) through love (Romans 13:10).

You cannot know the power of God or the Gospel of Grace without the 10 commandments. If there is NO LAW then you do not know what SIN is (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4). If you do not know what SIN is you have NO need of a Savior. If you have NO need of a Savior you have NO Salvation. If you have NO Salvation you are LOST because it is written.

God's LAW
was written and made by God alone on two tables of stone and spoken by God himself to his people and nothing was to be added to it. (God's LAW; Exodus 32:16; 34:28; Deuteronomy 4:13; 10:4; Exodus 20; Romans 3:20, 1 John 3:4; Romans 7:7; Ps 119:172; James 2:8-12; Hebrews 8:10-12; Galatians 3:24; Deuteronomy 5:22; Exodus 34:28; Deuteronomy 10:4 Ecclesiastse 3:14; Exodus 25:16; Deuteronomy 10:5)

It is called God's LAW or the 10 Commandment, because he was the one alone who made it and commanded Moses to keep in separated from the book of the law in the Ark of the Covenant (Nehemiah 10:29; Deuteronomy 10:4-5; Deuteronomy 31:25-26; Deuteronomy 4:13; Exodus 34:28)

God's LAW was not made by Moses it was made by God alone on two tables of stone and nothing was to be added to it and it was to be separated from the Mosaic book of the law. That is why it is referred to in the scriptures as God's LAW or the 10 commandments (not the 613).

The Mosaic law was made and written and spoken by Moses as directed by God in the book of the covenant.
(Mosaic Book of the law; Deuteronomy31:9; Exodus 24:3-4; Deuteronomy 31:24-27; Colossians 2:14-17).

God not only commanded Moses to keep the 10 Commandments separated from the Mosaic book of the law in the Ark of the Covenant (Deuteronomy 10:5; 31:25-26 nothing was to be added to it (Deuteronomy 4:1-2; Deuteronomy 5:22)

God makes a distinction between the 10 Commandments and the book of the law of Moses….

2 Kings 21
8,
Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.

Together God's ETERNAL LAW and the SHADOW laws of the MOSAIC BOOK OF THE COVENANT made up the OLD COVENANT (Torah)

Do we need more scripture?

The NEW COVENANT is not like the OLD COVENANT. All the SHADOW laws from the MOSIAC BOOK of the COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 are fulfilled in Christ (no more burn't offerings, sin offerings, Levitical Proesthood, earthly Sanctuary that was a pattern of the Heavenly and no more ceremonial laws).

According to God's WORD in the NEW COVENANT God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) is the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNES *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172.

God's 4th commandment is one of God's 10 commandments that give us the KNOWLEDGE of what sin is when broken *ROMANS 3:20. According to God's WORD if we break any one of God's 10 Commandments we stand guilty before God of SIN *JAMES 2:10-11.

According to God's WORD all those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN (breaking God's law) will not enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN *HEBREWS 10:26-27 because they reject the gift of God's dear son *ROMANS 6:23. OBEDIENCE to God's LAW is not how we are saved it is the FRUIT of God's work in us as we BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD. If our faith has no fruit it is dead *JAMES 2:18-20; 26 and our tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire *MATTHEW 3:10; 7:19-20; 13:49-50.

Hope this helps

Your confused brother, your mixing up the SHADOW laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the OLD COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 with God's ETERNAL LAW in the NEW COVENANT that give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHOTEOUSNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7: 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172. If you do not know what the OLD COVENANT was how can you know what the NEW COVENANT is that the OLD COVENANT points to?

COLOSSIANS 2 is talking about the SHADOW laws in CIRCUMCISION and BAPTISM v11-13 then the MOSIAC SHADOW laws in ORDINANCES v14. So the CONTEXT of the chapter is the MOSAIC BOOK of the OLD COVENANT that point to JESUS and God's plan of salvation in the NEW COVENANT. Now v16 PAUL is referening the OLD TESTAMENT scriptures to do with the SHADOW laws in FEAST days.

COLOSSIANS 2:16 [16] Let no man therefore judge you in MEAT, or in DRINK, or in respect of an HOLYDAY [FEASTIVALS], or of the NEW MOON, or of the SABBATH DAYS <plural>:

PAUL is quoting from the OLD TESTAMENT scriptures here..

EZEKIEL 45:17 [17] And it shall be the prince's part to give BURNT OFFERINGS, and MEAT OFFERINGS, and DRINK OFFERINGS, in the FEASTS, and in the NEW MOONS, and in the SABBATHS, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.

NUMBERS 28 [9] And on the Sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a MEAT OFFERING, mingled with oil, and the DRINK OFFERING thereof: [10] This is the burnt offering of EVERY SABBATH, beside the continual BURN'T OFFERING, and his DRINK OFFERING.

ISAIAH 1:10-14 [10] Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.[11] To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I AM FULL OF THE BURNT OFFERINGS of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.[12] When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?[13] BRING NO MORE VAIN OBLATIONS; incense is an abomination unto me; THE NEW MOONS AND SABBATHS, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.[14] Your NEW MOONS and your APPOINTED FEASTS my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.

LEVITICUS 23:4 [4] These are THE FEASTS OF THE LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. [5] In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is THE LORD'S PASSOVER. [6] And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread…… [13] And the MEAT OFFERING thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the Lord for a sweet savour: and the DRINK OFFERING thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin.

HOSEA 2:11 [11], I will also cause all her mirth to CEASE, HER [ISRAEL'S] FEAST DAYS, her NEW MOONS, and HER SABBATHS, and all HER [ISRAELS] SOLEMN FEASTS.
Appears to be the same holy days in Col 2. Sabbath is plural because there are many in a year since the context is year or annual requirements. Part of those requirements is the weekly sabbath. All these passages are lists, not words redefining one of the words. This is indicated by the use of comas.
wait for it back to the NEW...

HEBREWS 9:1-12 [1] Then verily THE FIRST COVENANT HAD ALSO ORDINANCES of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.... [9] WHICH WAS A FIGURE for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;[10] WHICH STOOD ONLY IN MEATS AND DRINKS, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.[12] NEITHER BY THE BLOOD OF GOATS AND CALVES, BUT BY HIS OWN BLOOD he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
This passage doesn't limit holy days to feasts because it refers to ordinances. It was an ordinance of God to keep the sabbath because God codified it with His own finger on stone tablets. Look up the definition of ordinance. Doesn't matter if it Hebrew, Greek or English.
HEBREWS 10:1-9
[1], FOR THE LAW HAVING A SHADOW OF GOOD THINGS TO COME, AND NOT THE VERY IMAGE OF THE THINGS, CAN NEVER WITH THOSE SACRIFICES which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
[2], For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
[3], But in those SACRIFICES there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
[4], For it is not possible that THE BLOOD OF BULLS AND GOATS should take away sins.
[5], Why when he comes into the world, he said, SACRIFICES AND OFFERINGS YOU WOULD NOT BUT A BODY YOU HAVE PREPARED FOR ME:
[6], IN BURN'T OFFERINGS AND SACRIFICES FOR SIN YOU HAVE HAD NO PLEASURE.
[7], Then said I, See, I come in the VOLUME OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME, to do your will, O God.
[8], Above when he said, SACRIFICES AND OFFERINGS AND BURNT OFFERINGS AND OFFERINGS FOR SIN YOU WOULD NOT, neither had pleasure therein; WHICH ARE OFFERED BY THE LAW;
[9], Then said he, See, I come to do your will, O God. He takes away the first, that he may establish the second.

NOTE; the LAW in reference here is NOT God's 10 Commandments but the law of sin offereings from the SHADOW laws of the MOSAIC BOOK of the LAW *DEUTERONOMY 31:24-26 from the OLD COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 (Please look at the attached scriptures)
Confirm this with Scripture, not personal opinion. I did. What does the the book of the covenant say?
.........

CONCLUSION
; The CEREMONIAL ORDINANCE of CIRCUMCISION is a Shadow law from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT pointing to a NEW HEART to LOVE and OBEY GOD in the NEW COVENANT. The SHADOW laws of the CEREMONIAL ORDINANCES of CIRCUMCISION from the Mosaic BOOK of the Covenant are the within CHAPTER CONTEXT BEFORE COL 2:14
Colossians 2 is not a reference to God's ETERNAL LAW (10 Commandments) that give us a knowledge of what SIN is when broken. They are a reference to the SHADOW laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the OLD COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 that point to JESUS and God's plan of salvation in the NEW COVENANT.
Sorry but I couldn't find a "new heart" in the Mosaic Book of the Covenant. Would you kindly quote and reference it for us?
..............

The weekly SABBATH is a requirement outside of the ANNUAL FEASTS as it is one of God's ETNERNAL LAWS (10 commandments)
That's correct in that it's a weekly affair making many in a year. It's included in the requirements of Lev 23.
God's 4th commandment.

EXODUS 20:8-11 [8], REMEMBER the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> [Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day] [9], Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: [10], But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God [This is a direct reference from God's Word defining what the Sabbath is; The SABBATH = the SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK]: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY> [11], For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and RESTED THE SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and MADE IT HOLY.

According to God's WORD all those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will not enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN *HEBREWS 10:26-27 because they reject the gift of God's dear son *ROMANS 6:23.

Sorry brother your only being warned in love. You mix up your Shadow laws with God's 10 Commandments. Besides God's 4th Commandment which is the SEVENTH DAY SABBATH written on stone, there were "SPECIAL" annual ceremonial Sabbath connected to the annual Jewish festivals in the OLD COVENANT written in the MOSAIC BOOK OF THE COVENANT.

These ceremonial Sabbath were not God's 4th Commandment of the 10 Commandments but were connected to annual festivals and could fall on ANY DAY of the week depending on the yearly cycle (please read LEVITICUS 23;24-39).

These ceremonial "SPECIAL" Sabbath were connected to..

* Annual festival of The blowing of trumpet (Leviticus 23:24)
* Annual Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:32)
* Annual Feast of tabernacles (Leviticus 23:39)

These "SPECIAL" Sabbath could fall on any day and were connected directly to these festivals that were prophetic in nature pointing to Jesus and God's plan of Salvation in the NEW COVENANT.

You have your Shadow laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT mixed up with God's ETERNAL LAW that give us a KNOWLEDGE of sin (Romans 3:20).

DETAILED SCRIPTURE SUPPORT COLOSSIANS 2 LINKING THE NEW TESTAMENT TO OLD

Hope this is helpful.

God bless.
Yes Jesus kept all these as He claimed He came to do. Jesus didn't destroy these laws. When you turn the tables and say or imply we're to keep (fulfil) them you change the subject of the thread. Not a single word in your post talks about the results of Jesus fulfilling the law and prophets.

There's no Scriptural evidence to to this. The law is always spoken of a a single thing. James says -

Jam 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

IOW lie and your also guilty of coveting.

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Please note these 3 verses are a single self defining, limiting non contradicting sentence.

When the guilt lifts upon salvation you know the Gospel of Grace by experience.

God's LAW
was written and made by God alone on two tables of stone and spoken by God himself to his people and nothing was to be added to it.

Since this is really another thread on the law and not Mat 5:17-18, I thought I just as well join in about the law.

Appears to be the same holy days in Col 2. Sabbath is plural because there are many in a year since the context is year or annual requirements. Part of those requirements is the weekly sabbath. All these passages are lists, not words redefining one of the words. This is indicated by the use of comas. This passage doesn't limit holy days to feasts because it refers to ordinances. It was an ordinance of God to keep the sabbath because God codified it with His own finger on stone tablets. Look up the definition of ordinance. Doesn't matter if it Hebrew, Greek or English.Confirm this with Scripture, not personal opinion. I did. What does the the book of the covenant say? Sorry but I couldn't find a "new heart" in the Mosaic Book of the Covenant. Would you kindly quote and reference it for us?That's correct in that it's a weekly affair making many in a year. It's included in the requirements of Lev 23.Yes Jesus kept all these as He claimed He came to do. Jesus didn't destroy these laws. When you turn the tables and say or imply we're to keep (fulfil) them you change the subject of the thread. Not a single word in your post talks about the results of Jesus fulfilling the law and prophets.

You did not address anything in the post you are responding to. Here have another crack at it.

HOSEA 2:11 [11], I will also cause all her mirth to CEASE, HER [ISRAEL'S] FEAST DAYS, her NEW MOONS, and HER SABBATHS, and all HER [ISRAELS] SOLEMN FEASTS.

wait for it back to the NEW...

[8], Above when he said, SACRIFICES AND OFFERINGS AND BURNT OFFERINGS AND OFFERINGS FOR SIN YOU WOULD NOT, neither had pleasure therein; WHICH ARE OFFERED BY THE LAW;
[9], Then said he, See, I come to do your will, O God. He takes away the first, that he may establish the second.

NOTE; the LAW in reference here is NOT God's 10 Commandments but the law of sin offereings from the SHADOW laws of the MOSAIC BOOK of the LAW *DEUTERONOMY 31:24-26 from the OLD COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 (Please look at the attached scriptures)

.........

CONCLUSION
; The CEREMONIAL ORDINANCE of CIRCUMCISION is a Shadow law from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT pointing to a NEW HEART to LOVE and OBEY GOD in the NEW COVENANT.
They are a reference to the SHADOW laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the OLD COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 that point to JESUS and God's plan of salvation in the NEW COVENANT.

..............

The weekly SABBATH is a requirement outside of the ANNUAL FEASTS as it is one of God's ETNERNAL LAWS (10 commandments)

According to God's WORD all those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will not enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN *HEBREWS 10:26-27 because they reject the gift of God's dear son *ROMANS 6:23.

God bless.

Please note these 3 verses are a single self defining, limiting non contradicting sentence. When the guilt lifts upon salvation you know the Gospel of Grace by experience.Since this is really another thread on the law and not Mat 5:17-18, I thought I just as well join in about the law.

DITTO, ignoring God's WORD does not make it disappear. Want to true again?

I've no clue what you're talking about.

Indeed. This part we can agree on. You posted your words over God's WORD. Your words do not make God's WORD disappear. Only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it *ROMANS 3:4. Sorry brother God's WORD does not teach lawlessness. According to God's WORD all those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will not enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN *HEBREWS 10:26-27 because they reject the gift of God's dear son *ROMANS 6:23. OK So it's still a sin to take God's name in vain. Now what?

now we agree that Christ perfectly fulfilled that moral command - part of the moral law of God as Matthew 5 states - but in fulfilling (perfectly complying) He did not open a door of rebellion for us - to ignore the moral law of God. Rather He enables the Gospel benefit of the LAW written on heart and mind under the NEW Covenant. It is not even remotely deleting the moral law to fulfill (comply with) it.

I "tried" to have that discussion with you on your thread - but you did not appear to be willing to have it then.

Did I make that claim? No. Am I obligated to the law? No. Do I love Jesus? Yes!

I see so "taking God's name in vain IS a sin for you" -- as you admitted -- but you don't view it as a command from God's Word appicable to you? It is just a sin??

I find our logic "illusive" just then.

"Sin IS transgression of the LAW" 1 John 3:4. Ok now that is scripture.

Where does Jesus say it's OK to sin? Nowhere.

Amen! Not approved in the OT or NT.

A related question then. Where does he say "in vain do they worship me teaching for doctrine the commandments of men...setting aside the Commandment of God" .. ??

Hmmm "I know where that is"

Mark 7
7 And in vain they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’
8 For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men—the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do.”
9 He said to them, “All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. 10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ 11 But you say, ‘If a man says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is Corban”—’ (that is, a gift to God), 12 then you no longer let him do anything for his father or his mother, 13 making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do.”

. Essentially what you're saying is Jesus didn't fulfil the law

I do like it when you "quote you" then claim it is scripture or it is me etc -- as "if" we simply won't notice.

Here is what I actually said... in the OP (perhaps you have read it).

Can we agree that Christ perfectly fulfilled (complied with) the Law to "Not take God's name in vain" Ex 20:7 and to "Love your neighbor as yourself" Lev 19:18

1. Moral Law can be perfectly fulfilled (complied with) and doing so does not give others the open door to be immoral and not be guilty of sin.

(Where Matthew 5 confines itself to the moral law -- perfectly complied with (fulfilled) in the case of Christ and the "examples" the text gives. "Obviously"

2. Predictive Law in ceremonies can be fulfilled (fulfilling a promise, as predicted) - and does not obligate anyone else to fulfill that prediction.

So then "perfectly fulfilled" has two contexts.

... I claim Christ fulfilled both moral law and predictive ceremonial law...

hence - it is "still a sin to take God's name in vain"

. Is there any NT Scripture saying we're to keep (fulfil, practice) the law (famous 10). No. Does Jesus promote the law? Where? Maybe you'll try to use Mat 19

Since you appear to be asking for it... fine.

Who is "fulfilling the LAW" in Rom 13?
(as we learned from the OP to "fulfill" moral law - is to comply with it)

Rom 13
8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments,
“You shall not commit adultery,”
“You shall not murder,”
“You shall not steal,”
“You shall not bear false witness,”
“You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Matthew 19
16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”
17 So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
18 He said to Him, “Which ones?”
Jesus said,
“‘You shall not murder,’
‘You shall not commit adultery,’
‘You shall not steal,’
‘You shall not bear false witness,’
19 ‘Honor your father and your mother,’
and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

Its a quote from the very TEN that you claim to oppose - that we see both before the cross AND after the cross -- and both in the NT. The very place you claim the Commandments of God cannot be affirmed.

No wonder BOTH sides of the class Sunday vs Bible-Sabbath debate get that specific point about the TEN - right!

I am glad these Sunday sources all affirm the Ten Commandments for Christians.

Did some one do that? I missed it except people of your persuasion saying anything remotely like that.
I "tried" to have that discussion with you on your thread - but you did not appear to be willing to have it then.
On my thread you didn't want to talk about mat 5:17-18. The subject of my thread still is Mat 5:17-18. It's not about any so called requirement of the Christian as you tried to make it. So what can I say?
I see so "taking God's name in vain IS a sin for you" -- as you admitted -- but you don't view it as a command from God's Word appicable to you? It is just a sin??
So tell me how that admits obligation to the law.
I find our logic "illusive" just then.

"Sin IS transgression of the LAW" 1 John 3:4. Ok now that is scripture.
No that's not Scripture. That a partial sentence quote from Scripture trying to support obligation to the law. I've discussed the complete sentence a couple times here in this section of the forum to no avail.
Amen! Not approved in the OT or NT.

God's LAW was written and made by God alone on two tables of stone and spoken by God himself to his people and nothing was to be added to it.

2Co 3:6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
2Co 3:7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away,
2Co 3:8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?

Act 15:24 Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, "You must be circumcised and keep the law"—to whom we gave no such commandment—

Gal 3:17 And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect.

Gal 3:18 For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
Gal 3:19 What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator.

Col 2:16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths,
Col 2:17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.

Act_20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

1Co_16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

Your just posting a lot of unrelated scriptures together brother which are posted out of CONTEXT. Here let's make it easy for the conversation.

Please post the scripture that says God's 4th Commandment is ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a HOLY DAY?

If you do not know what the OLD COVENANT is how can you know what the NEW COVENANT is that the OLD COVENANT pointed to?

Only posted in LOVE as a help to you brother.
