'There Is More' by Brian Houston. 'When the world says you can't. God says you can:

Though I was impressed with a couple, I cannot, and though I have been impressed with the consistency of two preachers to preach well from the gospel (Alistair Begg and pope Francis) I cannot recommend them above this -- when I realized that God would know so much more than any person, that I needed to truly listen as I read his words to us, instead of books about his words. A good sermon is very helpful, but so much better was/is to truly be listening as I read in a gospel, so that I really do take in Christ's words into my heart, down into my mind, and to treasure the very words of eternal life He gives us, eternal words that will never pass away, even when this current heaven and Earth pass away.

Christ Plays in Ten Thousand Places
By Eugene Peterson
I am just reading p176...Song is heightened speech...Eugene is discussing The song that Moses and the people of Israel sang to the Lord. Exodus 15:1
So good, explaining Christ in History...wow :)

I have read a number of Frank Perretti books and really enjoyed them.
I am looking at Fresh wind, fresh fire by Jim Cymbala on Amazon which looks good,
also Rescue, true stories by the same author...

Hi musicalpilgrim, I've not read Nine o'clock in the morning, but I've heard a lot of people recommending it. The Holy Spirit and You is such a helpful book, so well written and accessible.
