Graham calls McCabe comments 'beyond stunning' as he threatens to subpoena former FBI chief

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., vowed Sunday to investigate alleged discussions at the Department of Justice about invoking the 25th Amendment as a way to oust President Trump from office and threatened to subpoena former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe if he refused to testify on the matter before the Senate.

"We're going to find out what happened here and the only way I know to find out is to call the people in under oath and find out, through questioning, who's telling the truth because the underlying accusation is beyond stunning," Graham, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said on CBS’ "Face the Nation."

Graham added that he also plans to subpoena both McCabe and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein if they won’t voluntarily agree to testify before the committee.

Too bad McCabe doesn't have any first hand knowledge that it ever happened.

Since giving the interview to “60 Minutes,” McCabe has since made an about-face, with a spokesperson for the former FBI chief releasing a statement that says McCabe did not "participate in any extended discussions about the use of the 25th Amendment, nor is he aware of any such discussions."

The Justice Department issued a statement calling McCabe’s comments “inaccurate and factually incorrect."

And the Conservisphere feedback loop continues. This is going to be the 38 Benghazi hearings all over again.

If someone in the government feels that the president is not fit for duty why shouldn’t they discuss the 25th ammendment? That is what it is there for.

It's kind of a hoot but also pathetic that Donald tried to argue that the 25h amendment to the Constitution, was unconstitutional, lol.

The article goes along well with Nunes stating that he will look into every instance of lying to the government. Finally, a guy who wants people to be held accountable across the board and not have the justice department function as a means to purge another party -- mostly for process violations and financial irregularities.

Too bad McCabe doesn't have any first hand knowledge that it ever happened.

One thing that McCabe does have: incentive to claim to have no knowledge of this and to cover up on behalf of those involved.

McCabe Says Justice Dept. Officials Had Discussions About Pushing Trump Out

It was on an interview with 60 Minutes scheduled to air this evening. Tune in to CBS at 7/6 Central and you can see it for yourself.

The 25th Amendment to the Constitution allows for this option. The 1st Amendment to the Constitution allows discussion of this option.

Donald has always hated both these amendments; it stands to reason that his devoted followers are ideologically required to hate them as well.

Breaking news! Ranking members of government agencies are following the Constitution. Conservatives who claim to value the Constitution believes this is evidence of a Deep State conspiracy.

Clearly the Constitution is central to the Deep State, and must be dealt with in order to protect Donald...

While we're at it, we need to change the laws to be sure to protect Donald from Saturday Night Live! Priorities!

Well, once Saturday Night Live receives the retribution Donald demands, I'm sure the rest of the media will fall in line.

The Deep State is all that stands between America and the Trump Bratva. Go Deep State!

There are various departments in the government and the military that have more or less taken to "pretending" not to understand Trump's orders in hopes that like a 5 year old, he will completely forget what he wanted if you just wait a few minutes.

ANd rightfully so. Through sheer incompetence and naivete he would have instigated several military escalations but luckily for us, his orders were more or less ignored by the Pentagon. They managed to run enough interference until a few minutes were up and his attention spanned wondered off to something else...

Too bad they were unable to confiscate his twitter account and phone and prevent his looney rambling tweets...

Surely you see how there is a conflict of interest when the FBI, who has been already attacking the President with legal suits, is talking about exploring this option when it is also clear that the 25th amendment was created to deal with medical emergencies, not as a tool designed to oust democratically elected leaders of sound mind.

If you are about to suggest that the guy is literally insane, you might want to think about what you are actually suggesting: that tens of millions of Americans voted for an insane person because they disagree with you.

In reality, this would not just be a vote of no confidence in Pres. Trump... it'd be a vote of no confidence in democracy.

He doesn't have to be insane. He could be just what he appears to be: a slightly befuddled elderly man prone to letting his attention wander. It might not be a problem if he was just your retired uncle Donny and he had your aunt to watch him. But would he have the mental acuity to be President?
