Woman was made for man not man for woman YET man can not be born without woman . if you read the whole NT you will see woman is not to be over man BUT its mans responsibly to always do good to woman and never take advantage of his role

There are a lot of passages emphasising the role of women as subervient to men. A number of old testament rules about sex and marriage are framed with women as a type of property. Paul expects women to be silent in church and will not permit them to teach or to have authority over a man (in church. obviously a woman slave owner would have authority over all the male slaves that she owned). I can cite passages if you need them. And these things do look sexist. So is the bible's law and message sexist?

Yes. And modern complimentarianism is the natural end product.

So men rule over women but they have to be nice about it?

The Bible is a product of a culture that is radically different than our own, so of course it would be considered sexist by feminists and other modern people. A better question is how much of the Bible is transcendent of concepts of culture etc. being the revelation of God and such? And of course, "How much of the alleged sexism of the Bible is a result of the Fall vs. God's Economy, design and will?"

When you cherry-pick verses out of their intended context and misapply them and attribute it to Paul or even to God, then you are guilty of what you are accusing others of doing. Also, if your interpretation of scripture is clearly harmful to other people, then it's not coming from God.
How is any of that harmful? I didn't cherry pick put of context either.

I think one might find the bible prowomen. Women are allowed to pray and prophesy.. Paul talks about it. WAS Paul talking to a certain Church? Was something going on in that Chruch? "context". Might as well run with "HEAD COVERING". There was back then a REASON for it.

But to take this and just APPLY to all..most have never taken it that way. Again what was going on? Has nothing what so ever to do with "authority over men"
Yup, it's not unusual to read about some prophetess in the Bible. We forget that as smart as the philosophy is in these letters that they are in fact letters responding to the problems of a church. It becomes very clear when you get to parts where specific people are being addressed and it's hard to get all the context.

If you don't see how interpreting scripture to justify dominating over other people and treating them as less than human is harmful, then I really don't know what to tell you.

I don't believe the bible is sexist. Nor do I have an issue with authority or hierarchy. Order is a fact of life. I agree with biblical headship and think it's my responsibility to select a partner whose character and spiritual walk are deserving of that role. Servant leadership is a beautiful thing when both are wedded to its principles.

I think that maybe God does subscribe to all of the best moral views people have hammered out over the centuries. I think that is why God has given humanity all these centuries in which to learn. The scriptures tell us that Christians (and the rest of humanity I think) is to press on to maturity; the full maturity that Christians have in Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 4:11-13 The gifts he gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ.
It takes a lot of thinking and a lot of time to grow up as a species. We're still doing it now. Perhaps the end will come when we have finished growing up.

The bible predicts the OPPOSITE. The end times will be full of lies and deceptions.

I never said anything of the sort. All I've ever said is that the Bible does in fact teach that the man is the head of the woman as Christ is head of the Church, the Bible does in fact teach that the woman is the man's helper. At no time have I ever said anything about dominating anyone else. The verses I quoted just point out what I said. Do you have a different scripture that refutes or changes the context of these verses? I don't. You may not like them, but they say what they say.

Paul wasn't the only one to teach about this. It really comes down to whether or not you believe the bible is the eternal inspired word of God, and it should be see as such, or you believe only bits and pieces should apply, or you don't believe it at all.

Genesis 2:24
Genesis 2:18
1 Corinthians 11:3
Ephesians 5:22-33
1 Peter 3:1-7
1 Timothy 2:9-15
Colossians 3:18
Proverbs 21:9
Titus 2:4-5
1 Corinthians 11:7
I got the impression from something that Jesus said that in heaven there is no marriage ...
