=== Latest Update - - Please Pray! ===

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your continued support and prayer.

My Mom was put back on chemo medication for the past month and as of a few days ago the specialists were surprised that she was deemed "stable" with no detected cancer in her blood or bone marrow. We definitely attribute all of this to prayer -- so praise God!

I am requesting prayer for the next scheduled appointment/procedure which is February 8th. They are doing an introduction of cells (lymphocytes) via I.V. from her brother who was originally the donor for her stem cell treatment.

They will be doing this a total of six times over the next five to six months and the specialists have given her a 50/50 chance of her body accepting the cells and pulling through. We know that with God, however, this can be 100/0.

Please stand with us in prayer that she pulls through and her body is just craving to accept these cells.

All the glory be to God. I am praying for all of you.

Forever in Christ,

Missy

Hi everyone,

EDIT: My original post is here

I don't know who remembers my prayer request last year for prayer: Judy, my mom, was having weeks of chemo and radiation, followed up by stem cell and she was given a few weeks timeline. She had Sezary, which is an aggressive form of blood cancer, which the vast majority of people do not recover from and within five years 95%+ of people do not make it. She had it for eight years prior to them figuring out what it even was.

After I had posted the prayer request on here, she under went stem cell 'treatment' and was given a 30% chance repeatedly and it ALL succeeded! I'd like to emphasize that it not only succeeded but the specialists were all blown away by her recovery and the speed at which the very low success rate drugs worked. Her brother, who was her stem cell donor, turned out to be a perfect match for her cells, which is nearly impossible.

It was low chance after low chance of multiple things having to line up and be successful, and it was - all Glory to God!!

She came home last November 2017, which was much earlier than anticipated, because she was doing so well. It was her one year stem cell anniversary as of August 9th. Everything was going very well and she was making a full recovery.

I do not understand all the medical jargon used by the specialists so I'll do my best to explain how we understand it.

Roughly 8 weeks ago she started having severe itching and a sunburn-like feeling over her entire body, which is typical of sezary. After testing they have stated that the sezary, which is related to T-Cell lymphoma, has made a comeback. She does not have the exact same diagnoses as before but it's still a very serious concern.

She was told that this is considered a "set back", not a 100% sentence. Apparently this does happen sometimes, but whether or not it becomes controlled after the fact is completely up in the air.

The specialists have put her back on the 30% success rate cancer drug with hopes of it turning the cancer cells back around. Her numbers (some sort of ratio in the blood/cells) have been dropping, which is caused by the cancer, and if the drugs have the same effect that they had previously, the numbers should stabilize and then start to go back up to baseline.

Her numbers were around 90 for the past year, until recently, they dropped to about 50, but we've been told her numbers need to be around 70+.

As of the last appointment her numbers DID stop lowering but now need to go up. After they go up she will be given more cells from her brother to somehow 'flush' out her system to raise her numbers.

From what we have been told this may be last resort.

Please pray with me in agreement that her cells/numbers not only improve, but as before, she makes such a recovery that even her doctor's see God's hand on it for their salvation's sake.

Thank you ALL for all your support over the last year and all who have PM'd me - God bless you!

Praise Him Always,
Missy

====== Latest Update / Praise Report ======

Thank you all for your continued support.

I didn't go much into detail about Judy's current condition but for the last 6 months she has not been able to walk, needing to be carried to the bathroom, she had open wounds all over her body from the sezary, dropped 45 pounds from zero appetite, literally could not move around without help, had a tremendous amount of pain throughout her body, etc. Horrible condition.

I spoke to her yesterday and she said she hasn't felt this good in the last year. She had just cleaned off the top of her dresser and she was completely choked up because she hasn't been able to function on her own for a very long time now. Since monday her appetite is back and is gaining weight, SHE IS WALKING ALONE, she has virtually no pain and the sores are gone.

Here is where your prayers comes in - this has nothing to do with the procedure because they said it can't be kicking in this soon. This is an anomaly. This doesn't happen. I will update as I hear more.

Praise God!!!!!!!!!

Please continue lifting her in prayer and as always, I am praying for you.

Forever In Him,
Missy

Hi everyone,

My mom (Judy) has her third "procedure" today (of six). They're still saying a 50/50 chance of pulling through all six. Please pray that her body fully accepts the IV/cells. They did state that they're hoping to start seeing Graft-verses-Host-Disease (GvHD), which would prove her body is reacting as they'd like to the introduction of the new cells.

Please stand with us in prayer that her body reacts exactly how it needs to and for full acceptance, without rejection, to the cells and medications that she needs to pull through this.

Thank you again, sincerely, for all your prayer and continued support.

In Him Always,

Missy
