I know God has called me to become a Preacher, both a Pastor in my church, and an Evangelist to go where God will send me, but today something happened.

On Campus of the college I attend, there was a guest speaker in one of the buildings, I went there for the free food at first, but then got drawn in to the topic of saving those who have been trafficked, she spoke of Advocates for Freedom, and how they work to save those who have been trafficked. It really clung to me.

My question is, if I know that I'm going to be a preacher, then is saving those who are trafficked part of my calling? And if so, how?

While the lady was speaking I saw a vision, the vision was of a white banner, and it had some sort of language on it, I thought it might be Hebrew, but I guess not.

Am I being called to save those people who are trafficked, and How do I know?

Prayer and fasting is a good start to discern the next step. You may want to speak with a trusted advisor whose familiar with your walk. I attended a church with someone raised in India who developed a passion for children in brothels. A pastor came alongside him and supported the mission and it grew immensely. Reaching out to the organization would be a good idea. Oftentimes there are many roles you can play. Research similar organizations too.

May Adonai bless and prosper the work of your hands. Good luck. :)

I think there are a number of things to keep in mind.

One is that a lifetime of ministry is going to have more than one "job." You might pastor one church - or several - over your career and still spend ten years in a para-church organisation, for example.

The other is that pastoring a church doesn't mean you're not involved in anything else. I'm in charge of a parish but I'm also involved in affairs in the wider church, and I also am on staff at CF. There's no reason you couldn't pastor a church but be involved with some other organisation in your "spare time."

I wonder if one first step might be finding out what sort of roles this organisation has, and whether any of them are ways you can be involved now, and kind of test the waters?

The advice I always give to people searching for their calling is to first and foremost pursue God (obviously), but also to follow your passions (as long as they line up with God, hence #1). God made you with unique gifts and talents and your passions will follow those. So, in other words study the things you are passionate about, take classes on them, or talk to people who are already doing it. And most of all see what the Word has to say about it. I'm not talking about printing out business cards and promoting yourself, I'm talking about bettering yourself.

As you do this one of 2 things will happen. First, your passion will grow as your knowledge and experience grows, and - if you are keeping God at the center - when you are ready He will begin to open up doors of opportunity for you. Or second, you will find your passion fading and you can move on. But the cool thing is even if this happens you've spent your time bettering yourself and learning more about God and your calling. Win-win.

Preach!

As for married, I assume you mean married to God, as the bridegroom to Jesus, which would be the church, right?
If you look at what Paul wrote you will see that pastors are fathers and mothers of children.

How do I know?

you say you are called to be a preacher etc, yet are asking how do you know whether you are called to reach those enslaved.

How do you know you are called to be a preacher?
What does your church leaders think about this?
How are you currently serving God?

You will have noticed in your reading of Christian biographies that the great Christian workers were active from an early age in serving God.

If you are active in serving God he will guide you into the area he wants you.
Think of a car. Is it easier to steer a car that is moving or one that is stationary with the brake on?
Which are you like?

You need more clarity about your calling and gifts.
Some times that it takes years to confirm calling.
----
Get involved in different types of ministries. Maybe you can find out about your gifts/calling..
---
If you are called, your task/assignment can change during ministry journey.

What have your church leaders and counselors had to say about any of these?

My calling is to become a preacher in my church and to be an evangelist.

I know this simply because of what God has brought me through in my life and how he did it. It also says in the bible go into all the world and preach. Whether it's in my church or traveling the world.

I talked with my pastor about this, and he told me that God will tell me when I am ready to fill out the paperwork and become both officially.

It's not my place to speak, so I'm encouraging more than anything - nothing I say is from God it's from my own mind and heart this.

Im formerly a victim of abuse so I have intimate knowledge of abuse. If I was called to speak about scripture or teach in some capacity to other women who are abused, either in their past or currently, it would make sense. I can relate and advise, because there isn't an angle I haven't seen the situation from.

While I'm sure that you don't have to be someone who has lived through sex trafficking to share the Gospel with someone who has lived through that, it seems a calling in this area would make some sense if that happened to be the case.

It sounds to me like you want to be used of God, and are being exuberant based on hearing an area of ministry that sounds important.

The above isn't a bad thing, I'm sure it's a beautiful thing in the eyes of God, but it doesn't show a lot of maturity.

I think what you need to do is to pray and ask God to use you, offering yourself as an empty vessel allowing God to fill you and place you exactly where He wants you to minister.

Which means pray and pray some more until you have absolute certainty and assurance of where God wants you to be..

It's true, i need God's direction more than anything.

May I be completely honest? The truth is I'm like a kid, who has been sheltered from the world and the harsh reality thereof, I've never been through such trauma, and I've definitely never had to fight for anything, let alone to survive. I've always had everything handed to me on a silver platter, whether it be gifts from God, or my family.

So yeah, I've never had to be serious about anything. I'm spiritually weak and I get deceived easily. But there's one thing that I absolutely know to be truth, and that is God loves everyone, and because of that I'm willing to do everything that is within my power to lead souls to Christ, even if I'm not called to be what I think, I'm am called by scripture to go and preach. To love my neighbor and my God.

If the truth of reality is as harsh as I know it is, then I will do only my best, and if my best isn't good enough, I will let God do his best through me.

If I get hurt, Jesus will heal me, and if I die, I will go to heaven.

Most importantly, I will go to the ends of the earth to lead one soul to Christ.

I am willing and ready to do whatever God commands me, and if it has to be that my death is required to save a soul, I'll gladly give it freely. My heart and soul, and everything I am belongs to God, and not me. I feel that is what it means to surrender all.

Thank you for your testimony, and for your advice, I promise I will take it to heart.

just be prepared for God to work in your life.. you'll do fine. :)

If this is so, God will open doors.

I would think that to be a pastor, you should (1) get some life experience, and (2) go to Bible college.
