Hebrews 6:12
What happens when the delay or opposing circumstances come?
God prepares us during time delay but the enemy attacks us during this time. But don't be passive in your faith, continue to believe in that promise.

Verse 15
Abraham patiently endures. Delay have pain in it, it is challenging but we have to work through it.

Hebrews 4:12
Word of promise needs faith engagement in it.

2 Thessalonian 3:5
God will lead us to the perseverance Jesus walks in, example the cross, hostility of ministry, people He is serving. Jesus endured waiting for the promise. We would learn from Jesus and abiding in Christ to have the same steadiness. Jesus endured resistance.

Hebrews 12:3
Perseverance and endurance are interchangeable. Not to become weary or discourage. The number 1 temptation the enemy brings is the temptation to quit, drawback not pressing into God. The enemy has many ways to make us discouraged. Run with endurance and don't be passive. Have faith in the promises and have faithfulness in God's command. We look to Jesus as a model and source of strength, we reconnect to the vibrant faith and say yes to believe everything that God tells us.

Persevering faith
To be in faith in promises, to be faithful to the assignment and obey the command. Running with endurance, we hold on to the promise and be faithful to what God has given us.

Genesis 12
God promise to Abraham to make him a great nation. Seems impossible in the natural and there is a 25 years delay. The delay makes it highly unlikely.
Abraham stayed engaged with the Lord in the specific promise, he didn't waver at the promise of God with unbelief. Abraham is not weak in faith in particular to the promise. He stayed engaged with the Lord. We should apply this principle in our everyday life.

Sometimes we might need to believe in God for a decade.
Genesis 37
God showed Joseph that He will make him powerful, he told his brothers and got sold in Egypt. Joseph gets favour in prison but he got another prison sentences again. Joseph is a slave until the time the word is going to come to pass.

Verse 19
Do you believe God's promise or the circumstance?
The promise of God is testing Joseph faith and relationship with the Lord, or would Joseph give up become the circumstances is impossible. We all have promises from God and we want to walk out the full destiny of God.

Isaiah 49
Give us insight into the human process that Jesus walk out while He is waiting for His promises. Jesus has to walk through hostility, circumstances against what the Father promises Him.

When you make godly choices, it is not always evident to the people around you. They might think you are throwing your life away.

1. Jesus disciple deny Him under pressure
2. 120 people make it to the prayer room after His death and resurrection (Acts 1) out of the 1000 people that see blind eyes open and dead raised, they didn't follow through. The nation of Israel thought that Jesus is a false prophet and abhorred and despise Him. The full promises are in God's hand even though it seems impossible. We have to see Jesus in the big picture.

Jesus said that He shall be glorious in the eyes of God. Believing in God is glorious in His eyes. Don't become wear in your faith, look to Jesus as your model and source. Run with endurance.

Isaiah 49:2
When God gives you a promise and there is a delay.

Indeed all these things happened.
