Is it normal to be fallible after being saved?

I don't know if there is a pre-trib rapture. God didn't tell me everything when I got saved.

I made some mistakes and got into some heresies when I was brand new.

I'm getting antagonistic thoughts telling me that this fallibility means I am damned.

Well don't know what I could do or the right thing to do.

How do I know?

Do I need to get re-saved?

But I already believe the gospel.

So lost forever because I got deceived the very first week?

I don't know how it works.

Best to find a bible-believing and teaching Church.

As we grow older hopefully we will sin less but, our sin will bother us more.

Our middle names
should have been Repent.

Paul called himself the chief of sinners. Yet we think that title belongs to us.

No man is infallible, saved or not. If that's what you were expecting, you're condemning yourself to disappointment.

That's was not what I was expecting, but many Christians make it sound so.

Like if I get deceived or fall down, God is just going to watch and laugh instead of point out my flaws and help me.

In Matt 28, the Risen Lord told his apostles to disciple (train) His new followers. In the day that meant a one-on-one training relationship. New believers are sometimes called “babes” in the NT. Of course babes can get the wrong kind of care and be abandoned and go astray. It means those who brought them to faith did NOT obey the word and disciple them.

The whole concept of discipleship got abandoned by the church centuries ago. It needs to be brought back.

Actually, I believe God will hold them accountable who did not parent you properly in the faith.

When Messiah returns, it is said that we will be"perfected" and that we will be made "incorruptible." By definition that means we are imperfect and corruptible. NOT that we make excuse to act like that, we are to strive to walk in righteousness, but we still need to be perfected which means we're fallible.

How much do you study the Lords word? Studying His word should be a daily practice/habit. Do some topical studies on things that are on your mind.

Largely His written word is how He speaks to us and how we get to know Him.

God Bless.

I haven't studied it, because I was just newly saved August 4th.

I didn't fully understand that God was actually 3 in 1 the moment I got saved.

It happened a week later.

Also I do not have the gift of tongues.

Some would tell me I must speak in tongues and most know everything.

Some would say that I didn't get saved until I got baptized. Or if I got baptized in the "wrong" church, I must find the "right church", then be baptized.

Some would say that I didn't get saved and it was all a mere emotional experience and I would have to wonder where God predestined me

It's driving me insane.

That sounds like the tempter. It's been my experience that the tempter can force thoughts and feelings on a person. That said, what good would it do to believe you're damned? Probably no good at all. I'm not going to quote scripture as it is back and forth on the issue, but I will quote one verse which I believe applies: Luke 18:26-27

Trust entirely that Christ is in control of you and your salvation. If you stumble, get back up. If you fall into temptation, then resist it. If you sin or blaspheme in ignorance but then realize or are shown the error of your ways(and that is a blessing) and then repent of it, you will be forgiven (1 Timothy 1:13-15). Do not knowingly sin, but live by imitating Christ's example as closely as you are able to (1 Corinthians 11:1). Your heart's intentions are taken into account, if you were intending good but it turned out bad that will be kept in consideration.

I would strongly suggest you begin studying Gods word for yourself. When doing so, always pray that He send His Holy Spirit to show you the truth through His word.

some say this ... some say that ..... you need to study the Word for yourself and let the Lord guide you through His word ... not other peoples words.

God Bless.

If you sin, and guess what: you will!, God will help you get up.

If you need a daily, weekly, monthly, and life time pattern of worship, both the Methodist and Episcopal churches are very good choices among many others.

Don't be so hard on yourself, and lean on the Lord.

God is not going to laugh at us for He takes no pleasure when we do wrong.

Oneso that are Born Again when doing wrong will be called by the Holy Spirit to repent.

Jesus said, stop you're sinning or something worse may happen to you. This old guy takes that to heart.

But when Peter came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he was clearly wrong. -- Galatians 2

Peter was one of Jesus' most steadfast disciples, having been in Jesus' inner circle from nearly day one of His ministry.

This confrontation with Paul was more than thirty years after Jesus' resurrection. Peter should have been the most mature of all Christians. Yet here was a point on which he still misunderstood his own religion--of which he was one of founders--and a later-comer had gotten that particular point right.

Of course it's normal to be fallible. Don't ever think people aren't fallible. If you meet the most pious people in the world, they're fallible too. If you learn about great people of faith in history, they too have had their share of misunderstandings and failures. Fallibility doesn't mean you're not saved. It reinforces your need for your savior and your hunger to get to know God. In fact the more you grow in the spirit, the more obvious your own fallible nature becomes, and you're willing to trust Christ more than yourself. Read your Bible more. They don't call it the Living Word for nothing, it will never stop enlightening us. I can't count the times I've learned something new from it by the grace of God. Sometimes I understand something differently and better, sometimes it's something topical comforting me, sometimes I understand what I didn't understand before at all.

Learning about God, growing in faith, it's a life-long process. It just grows and grows. Don't ever listen to any man, voice, thought or a feeling telling you that you've fallen into some kind of trap and there's no way to escape or that you're doomed and lost forever. God is not a cruel trickster. In the end your salvation and sanctification isn't even about you, it's about God and how wonderfully He does it.

The faith of God never ever asks why. If you have confessed and do confess the Lord Jesus and have and do believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead you are and will be saved.

A person does not get "re-saved". And there is no such thing as a "pre-trib rapture". The idea has only been around for about 150 years among some protestant groups.

If you find yourself in some heresy the only thing you can do is stop. There are a number of things that can happen afterwards, but ceasing heresy is the first step.
