If we don't think rightly about heaven, we will not think about heaven at all.
Work is a blessing
God gave Adam and Eve work before they sin. The reason why there is frustration with work now is becuase of our sin. In heaven we are not going to be floating on a cloud playing harp. Heaven is going to come together with the earth. The natural realm will merge with the supernatural realm of the Holy Spirit.
There is over a 150 chapters that talks about the end times. (2nd coming)
Matthew, Mark, Luke, John is 89 chapters that is devoted to Jesus' first coming.
Revelation 20:4-6
1000years reign
Saints with resurrected body reignning 1000 years. After that Jesus will prepare a place for the Father to come to the earth. Jesus' kingdom will be openly display and influence every government of the earth.
1000years unprecedented blessings
Garden of Eden will be restored. The condition of that garden is suppose to fill the whole earth but Adam and Eve's sins put a pause to it. Jesus comes as the last Adam to restore what is messed up.
All the kings of the earth will worship Jesus and base their natural government on the scriptures. The government will have a resurrected body.
Daniel see Jesus ruling over the earth. All the government of the earth will be replaced one day. There will be many level of government. We will have access to rule and reign with Jesus.
Ephesians 1:9-10
God had a plan hidden in His heart until His Son took upon humanity and raised from the dead. After the resurrection, the appostle sees it with clarity.
Colossians 1
Jesus is going to bring the two realms together. This is always in God the Father heart because He always wants a throne on the earth to be with His people. Is about God dwelling with humans on the earth.

Saints with resurrected body reignning 1000 years.

In 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 Christ returns "in flaming fire" taking vengeance on those who do not know God. The fire comes at the end of Revelation chapter 20.

Based on Matthew 25:31-46, there will be no mortals alive on the planet after the return of Christ.

Based on 2 Timothy 4:1, Christ judges both the living and the dead at His return.

The time of the judgment of the dead is found in Revelation 11:18, right after the 7th trumpet, which is the last trumpet in the Bible.

The Book of Revelation is not in chronological order. Instead, it is a series of overlapping visions.

Not possible. Christ can't judge the living upon His return if no mortals are alive.

If believers are reigning as kings, who do they reign over, dead bodies, the animals and trees?

Scripture shows clearly that there will be mortal survivors coming out of the Tribulation.-
Mark13v12And brother will deliver up brother to death, and father, child; and children will rise up against parents, and will put them to death. 13And you will be hated by all on account of My name; but he who endures to the end, will be saved.

Based on 2 Timothy 4:1, Christ judges both the living and the dead at His return.
Make your mind up. You just said there will be no mortals alive when Jesus comes, yet your verse says otherwise.

Let me make myself more clear.

Since Christ judges both the living and the dead at his Second Coming, there will not be any living mortals a week after His return.

No, scripture does not say that.
I believe that after Christ's return, the righteous ones who endure to the end of the Tribulation period will become the mortals who repopulate of the earth.
These mortals are the ones we saints will reign over for 1000 years.

If we don't think rightly about heaven, we will not think about heaven at all.

Heavens is also plural..........same as in Genesis 1:1

"heavens" used 1 time in Revelation:

Rev 12:12
because of this be glad, ye heavens, and those in them who do tabernacle;
woe! to those inhabiting the land and the sea,
because the Devil did go down unto you, having great wrath, having known that he hath little time.'

Jesus has already united heaven and earth. (Eph 1:10)
Don't pin your theology on just one scripture.

Has the following already happened? Don't think so.
Rev21v2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Jesus is the union of all things in heaven and all things on earth, as St. Paul told the Ephesians.

If you disagree with Paul, that's your prerogative.

Those who submitted to the Antichrist will be destroyed by the breath of the mouth of Jesus.

Mat 25:31 "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.
Mat 25:32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.
Mat 25:33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.
Mat 25:34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Mat 25:35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;
Mat 25:36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.'
Mat 25:37 "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?
Mat 25:38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?
Mat 25:39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'
Mat 25:40 And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'
Mat 25:41 "Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
Mat 25:42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;
Mat 25:43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.'
Mat 25:44 "Then they also will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?'
Mat 25:45 Then He will answer them, saying, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'
Mat 25:46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

Hi BABerean,

Just as there is a big time gap in Isaiah 61: 2 `To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God..` a gap of over 2,000 years, there is also a gap in Matt. 25 concerning the nations on the earth. The Lord is giving the final eternal destination of the wicked and righteous which will be at the end of the millennium, according to God`s word.

Marilyn.

Are you trying to ignore the last verse?

Mat 25:46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

How long is "eternal life"?

Do mortals have eternal life?
