The Great Day of the Lord is Near:

Zephaniah 1:14-16 The great Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath is near1, very near and coming quickly. Listen for the sound of that Day!2 When it comes even the warriors will panic and be terrified.

That Day will a day of great fury, a day of distress and torment, a day of destruction and devastation, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick blackness, a day of the trumpet battle call against all the fortifications and upon all military strength.3

Because the people have sinned against the Lord, He will bring a shocking disaster to all who live in the holy Land. Their blood will be poured out like dust and the entrails like dung. Their strength and riches will not save them on the Day of the Lord’s fiery wrath, the whole Land will be burnt and devastated. For He will make an end; a horrible end of all who live in the holy Land.4

Isaiah 13:9-13 Here comes the Day of the Lords wrath! A day full of fury and the outpoured wrath of the Lord. The whole earth will be devastated and all the ungodly people will be destroyed. 5

On that day, you will not have any light from the sun, the moon or the stars. The sky will roll up like a scroll, [Isaiah 34:4, Revelation 6:14] and the earth will be shaken from its place. 7

The Lord will punish the world for its evil and the wicked peoples for their iniquity, He will end the arrogance of the proud and humble the pride of the leaders.

On that Day, humans will become scarce, they will be as rare as fine gold; after the Lord’s Day of His blazing anger.8

Isaiah 24:1-13 Be warned, the Lord is about to strip the earth, ruin and devastate it. All the earths inhabitants, without exception, will be severely affected.9

For the Lord has spoked this Word: The whole world is defiled by its peoples, they have changed the Laws, ignored the Statutes and broken the Everlasting Covenant. Therefore; My curse will consume the earth and its inhabitants will suffer punishment. They will be burned up and very few will be left10. There will no longer be the sounds of revelry and partying, the sounds of music and songs will cease.

The cities and towns will be in chaos11, every house locked and the people gone. They will be deserted, with all the roads and bridges destroyed. It will be like that throughout the world, in all the nations, just like an olive tree: beaten and stripped after the harvest.

Isaiah 24:14-16 & 23 The Lord’s people lift their voices, they shout for joy, all His faithful righteous people in the West, in the East and in the islands of the sea; all giving honour to the God of Israel.

From the ends of the earth, we hear them singing: Glory to God, our Saviour and our Redeemer!12 Ref: REB, CJB, NIV, KJV. Some verses condensed.

1/ The great and terrible Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath will be a massive explosion of the suns surface. Isaiah 30:26 and other prophesies can only be literally fulfilled by a Coronal Mass Ejection, a known natural occurrence, but never before of the magnitude described. Joel 2:2b

As the enemies of Israel prepare their weapon to attack, the Lord will instigate His punishment. Psalms 11:4-6, Psalms 7:12-15, Romans 1:18

Only now is the world in a similar state as it was in Noah’s time. 2 Peter 3:6-7

The Lord will bring out of His storehouse, Deuteronomy 32:34-43, the fire, earthquakes, storms and tsunamis, all caused by a massive CME from the sun, that will destroy those attackers and will clear and cleanse the entire Middle East region. Psalms 83, Ezekiel 30:1-5, Jeremiah 12:14

2/The great sound will be heard all around the world. Jeremiah 25:30-31, Isaiah 29:6

3/ Military powers of all kinds will be destroyed; all nuclear weapons neutralized. Jeremiah 49:35 & 50:22-27, Micah 5:10-11, Isaiah 32:14, Hosea 8:14

4/ All of the holy Land, from the Nile to the Euphrates will be devastated and depopulated. Isaiah 6:11-12, Jeremiah 10:18 & 4:26, Ezekiel 21:1-7, Hosea 4:3

5/ The whole world will be severely affected. 2 Peter 3:7, Nahum 1:5, Malachi 4:1-3, Isaiah 66:15-17, Revelation 6:12-17

6/ There will be no natural light, because of the cloud of the suns ejected material. Isaiah 47:3, Amos 5:20, Joel 2:22, Jeremiah 4:23

7/ The earth will be pushed along its orbital track and the year will again be 360 days. Haggai 2:21-22, Joel 2:10, Psalms 18:7 and the time periods of Revelation.

8/ Millions will die around the world, but especially in the Middle East, where this strike will hit at mid-day. Zephaniah 2:4, Jeremiah 9:21-22, Revelation 14:17-20

9/ Everybody alive then, will experience this dramatic event. It will come upon all and will test the worth of each person. 1 Corinthians 3:13-15, 1 Peter 4:12, Rev 3:19

10/ Many will die from this strike and from later problems. But millions will survive too, they just need to keep under cover for 36 hours. Nahum 1:7, Psalms 60:4-5

11/ After this disaster, which will destroy all our modern infrastructure, the survivor’s will divide the world into 10 regions, each led by a President, in a One World Government federation. Daniel 11:21-24, Revelation 17-12

12/ A new nation will arise in all of the holy Land, consisting of only those people faithful to God; all born again Christian people, from every race, nation and language. Isaiah 62:1-5, John sees them there in Revelation 7:9-14.

Zechariah 8:4-8 The Lord says: I am about to rescue My people [now every faithful Christian] and bring them to live in the holy Land. Once again old people will sit in the streets of Jerusalem, watching the children at play. Even if this seems impossible for those alive at that time; will it be impossible for Me?

Revelation 7:9-14 I saw a vast multitude of people from every race, nation and language.....they shouted: Victory to our God and to the Lamb, our Redeemer and King. [Note in 2 Thessalonians 1:10, that Jesus is revealed to His people soon after is Day of wrath.]

The Great Day of the Lord is Near:

Zephaniah 1:14-16 The great Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath is near1, very near and coming quickly. Listen for the sound of that Day!2 When it comes even the warriors will panic and be terrified.

In This passage, the Prophet Zephaniah is describing the (Then soon coming) destruction of Jerusalem by the Babylonians.

AFTER IT HAPPENED, the prophet Jeremiah
tells us:

Lamentations 1:12
behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow,
which is done unto me, wherewith the LORD hath afflicted me
in the day of his fierce anger.

Lamentations 2:1
How hath the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud
in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the
beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the
day of his anger

Lamentations 2:21
The young and the old lie on the ground in the streets: my
virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword; thou hast
slain them in the day of thine anger; thou hast killed,
and not pitied
.

Lamentations 2:22
Thou hast called as in a solemn day my terrors round about,
so that in the day of the LORD'S anger none escaped nor
remained

**Note also that it was God who did the killing! Did anyone
SEE Jehovah kill people? Was the prophet lying? Of
course not. This is how the prophets spoke.**

Furthermore, Ezekiel had foretold of this same Day of the
Lord against Jerusalem which took place in the 500s BC,
saying:

Ezekiel 7:19
They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold
shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be
able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of
Jehovah
: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither
fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their
iniquity.

And again, Ezekiel says of this same past Day of the Lord...

Ezekiel 13:2-5
Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that
prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their
own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the
Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their
own spirit, and have seen nothing! O Israel, thy prophets
are like the foxes in the deserts. Ye have not gone up into
the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel
to stand in the battle in the day of Jehovah.

Folks, there we have the classic "Day of the Lord" in
scripture. The prophets speak of Jehovah who comes down and
does a whole host of "physical" things. Yet did any
one SEE Yahweh do these things? Was Zephaniah lying?
This scripture goes on all the way to the end of Zephaniah
chapter two, and be sure to note that the judgments that
ensue upon the other surrounding nations are also a past
Day of Yahweh event (1:14; 2:2-3).

So, the destruction of Jerusalem in the 500s BC is just one
example of MANY past day of the LORD events.

So there have been many Days of the Lord and as what the prophets describe in the OP, has not yet been completely fulfilled; there will be a another.
It will be the great and terrible Day of the Lord's vengeance and wrath against all the nations. Habakkuk 3:12

Thinking that this sudden and shocking event won't happen, is 'head in the sand' attitude and ignores the present realities, let alone what our Bibles plainly tell us.

If the sun pushes on the earth it would push the earth away from the sun.

The planets with larger orbits have a longer orbital cycle.

A year on Mars is equal to about 687 earth days, instead of about 365.25 days.

The Great Day of the Lord is Near:

Peter is the only one that uses the phrase " parousian of the Day of God"
and that is in conjunction with Armageddon in Revelation [which could symbolize the Jewish wars between 63 ad and 73ad, including Jerusalem and Masada]

parousian <3952> Mentioned 3 Times
1 thessalonians 4:15;
2 Peter 1:16;
2 Peter 3:12

2Pe 3:12
looking for and hastening the parousian <3952> of the day of God,

because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire,
and the elements will melt with fervent heat?

Revelation 16

14
For they are spirits of demons, performing signs,
which go out to the kings of the earth and[fn] of the whole world,
to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
16
And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.

Hos 1:5
It shall come to pass in that day
That I will break the bow of Israel in the Valley of Jezreel.”
Zec 12:11
“In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem,
like the mourning at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.
According to the Book of Revelation in the New Testament of the Bible, Armageddon (/ˌɑːrməˈɡɛdən/, from Ancient Greek: Ἁρμαγεδών Harmagedōn,[1][2] Late Latin: Armagedōn,[3] from Hebrew: הר מגידו‬ Har Megiddo)
is the prophesied location of a gathering of armies for a battle during the end times, variously interpreted as either a literal or a symbolic location.
The term is also used in a generic sense to refer to any end of the world scenario.

"Mount" Tel Megiddo is not actually a mountain, but a tell (a hill created by many generations of people living and rebuilding on the same spot)[4] on which ancient forts were built to guard the Via Maris, an ancient trade route linking Egypt ........

The word Armageddon appears only once in the Greek New Testament, in Revelation 16:16. The word is transliterated to Greek from Hebrew har məgiddô (הר מגידו‎), har (Strong H2022) meaning "a mountain or range of hills (sometimes used figuratively): - hill (country), mount (-ain), X promotion."
This is a shortened form of Harar (Strong H2042) "to loom up; a mountain; -hill, mount". Megiddo (Strong מְגִדּוֹן H4023) /meg-id-do'/ "Megiddon or Megiddo, a place of crowds.")[6] The name refers to a fortification made by King Ahab (869–850 BC) that dominated the Plain of Jezreel.[7]

Jezreel Valley - Wikipedia

The Jezreel Valley (Hebrew: עמק יזרעאל‬, translit. Emek Yizra'el),
is a large fertile plain and inland valley in the Northern District of Israel.
It is bordered to the north by the highlands of the Lower Galilee region, to the south by the Samarian highlands, to the west and northwest by the Mount Carmel range, and to the east by the Jordan Valley, with Mount Gilboa marking its southern extent.

The Jezreel Valley takes its name from the ancient city of Jezreel (known in Hebrew as Yizre'el; יזרעאל‬; known in Arabic as Zir'ēn, زرعين) which was located on a low hill overlooking the southern edge of the valley.

The word Jezreel comes from the Hebrew, and means "God sows" or "El sows".[1]

The phrase "valley of Jezreel" was sometimes used to refer to the central part of the valley, around the city of Jezreel, while the southwestern portion was known as the "valley of Megiddo", after the ancient city of Megiddo, which was located there

This and most other prophecy is Written in the past tense, as their fulfillment is assured.
This style of the Prophetic Word is proved by how Zechariah 9:9 says: ...See your King is coming to you, His cause won, His victory gained, riding on a donkey..... Written hundreds of years before the event.

You, Parousia are a classic scoffer, refusing to believe what the Bible tells us about what God has planned for His people in these latter days. This attitude could make things difficult for you when things do start to happen.

Knowing how this terrible event will happen and the prophesied effects of it, helps to understand it all.
It will be the ejected mass from the sun, that will strike the earth; a glancing blow, or else nothing would survive.
Isaiah 13:13 undeniably says that the earth will be moved from her place. Any other suggestions as to how this could happen?
And how the time periods in Daniel and Revelation, all relate to a 360 day year.

A Coronal Mass Ejection is a surmise - it could be something else, could it not?
ONLY a CME can and will cause all the prophesied effects.
The idea of a Planet X, the Yosemite exploding or anything else, just doesn't cut it.

But the great and terrible Day of the Lord's vengeance and wrath, certainly will. Obadiah 1:16, Psalms 110:5-6, Ezekiel 7:2-9, Isaiah 34:1-5, Psalms 50:1-3, Habakkuk 3:12, Romans 1:18, 2 Peter 3:7, +
Jeremiah 25:29-33 I am bringing punishment upon the inhabitants of all the world. Ruin spreads from nation to nation, from a worldwide mighty tempest.

Your posts are still unnecessarily long, with useless quotes and childish pictures.

2Th 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
2Th 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
2Th 1:10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Heb 11:15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
Heb 11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

It will be the Son, instead of the sun that brings forth the fire.

It will be a supernatural event, instead of a natural one.

Our home is New Jerusalem, instead of the one on this rotten, sin-cursed world. (Galatians 4:26)

Lamentations are NOT prophesy, that's why they are called "Lamentations".

You, Parousia are a classic scoffer, refusing to believe what the Bible tells us about what God has planned for His people in these latter days. This attitude could make things difficult for you when things do start to happen.

Don't worry about me, friend. I am fully equipped with the armor of God for whatever lies in my future. :)

It will be a supernatural event, instead of a natural one.
It is plainly stated that the Lord will send this fire. Amos 1 & 2 says this seven times. He will not come to earth on His Day of fiery wrath, He will thunder from the heavens, sending lightning shafts...Psalms 18:11-14
The Lord is in His holy Temple, raining fiery coals upon the wicked.....Psalms 11:4-6
The Lord will use His storehouse, the sun, Deuteronomy 32:34-43, to literally fulfil all the detailed prophesies about His Day of wrath against the nations. Revelation 6:12-17, Isaiah 66:15-17, 2 Peter 3:7

Keras, pure fantasy yet again from you my friend. Your interpretations are way off.
Denial of the Prophetic Word and rejection of plainly stated events yet to happen, is actually a sin, because you believe only a part of the Bible, just what suits you.
Do you actually read the Prophesies? If so; what is your 'interpretation' of them?

It is plainly stated that the Lord will send this fire.
Yes...but NOT upon the whole world!
Just Israel, Judea, Jerusalem and the Temple.......

Use a concordance
for goodness sake......

Revelation is the OT....it must be studied from the OT........

Allusions in Revelation from Old Testament
One man studied and found 348 allusions (not illusions, Light) in Revelation from the Old Testament. You see the similarity in wording and the context mirrored in Revelation and the particular Old Testament story, and immediately can recognize the reference source!
That's IF you know the bible well enough to even notice that.
Hos 8:14 -
“For Israel has forgotten his Maker,
And has built temples;
Judah also has multiplied fortified cities;
But I will send fire upon his cities,
And it shall devour his palaces.”

Luke 12:49
Fire I came to be casting<906> upon the land
,
and how I wish it were already kindled!

Rev 8:5
And the Messenger has taken the censer and crams-full it out of the fire from the Altar, and to He casts into the land.
And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.

Isa 66:1 Thus says the LORD: "Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest?
Isa 66:2 For all those things My hand has made, And all those things exist," Says the LORD. "But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at My word.
Isa 66:3 "He who kills a bull is as if he slays a man; He who sacrifices a lamb, as if he breaks a dog's neck; He who offers a grain offering, as if he offers swine's blood; He who burns incense, as if he blesses an idol. Just as they have chosen their own ways, And their soul delights in their abominations,
Isa 66:4 So will I choose their delusions, And bring their fears on them; Because, when I called, no one answered, When I spoke they did not hear; But they did evil before My eyes, And chose that in which I do not delight."
Isa 66:5 Hear the word of the LORD, You who tremble at His word: "Your brethren who hated you, Who cast you out for My name's sake, said, 'Let the LORD be glorified, That we may see your joy.' But they shall be ashamed."
Isa 66:6 The sound of noise from the city! A voice from the temple! The voice of the LORD, Who fully repays His enemies!
Isa 66:7 "Before she was in labor, she gave birth; Before her pain came, She delivered a male child.
Isa 66:8 Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, She gave birth to her children.
Isa 66:9 Shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery?" says the LORD. "Shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb?" says your God.
Isa 66:10 "Rejoice with Jerusalem, And be glad with her, all you who love her; Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn for her;
Isa 66:11 That you may feed and be satisfied With the consolation of her bosom, That you may drink deeply and be delighted With the abundance of her glory."
Isa 66:12 For thus says the LORD: "Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, And the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream. Then you shall feed; On her sides shall you be carried, And be dandled on her knees.
Isa 66:13 As one whom his mother comforts, So I will comfort you; And you shall be comforted in Jerusalem."
Isa 66:14 When you see this, your heart shall rejoice, And your bones shall flourish like grass; The hand of the LORD shall be known to His servants, And His indignation to His enemies.
Isa 66:15 For behold, the LORD will come with fire And with His chariots, like a whirlwind, To render His anger with fury, And His rebuke with flames of fire.
Isa 66:16 For by fire and by His sword The LORD will judge all flesh; And the slain of the LORD shall be many.
Isa 66:17 "Those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves, To go to the gardens After an idol in the midst, Eating swine's flesh and the abomination and the mouse, Shall be consumed together," says the LORD.

Isa 66:18 "For I know their works and their thoughts. It shall be that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come and see My glory.
Isa 66:19 I will set a sign among them; and those among them who escape I will send to the nations: to Tarshish and Pul and Lud, who draw the bow, and Tubal and Javan, to the coastlands afar off who have not heard My fame nor seen My glory. And they shall declare My glory among the Gentiles.
Isa 66:20 Then they shall bring all your brethren for an offering to the LORD out of all nations, on horses and in chariots and in litters, on mules and on camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem," says the LORD, "as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
Isa 66:21 And I will also take some of them for priests and Levites," says the LORD.
Isa 66:22 "For as the new heavens and the new earth Which I will make shall remain before Me," says the LORD, "So shall your descendants and your name remain.
Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from one Sabbath to another, All flesh shall come to worship before Me," says the LORD.
Isa 66:24 "And they shall go forth and look Upon the corpses of the men Who have transgressed against Me. For their worm does not die, And their fire is not quenched. They shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.

That is why Lamentations can be used 2 times for Jerusalem,
desolated by the Babylonians
then by the Romans in 70 ad........

I believe that may be the meaning "double doubles" in Revelation.....She paid twice for the sins of Her people......

Isaiah 40:2

Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for,
that she has received from the Lord's hands, doubles for all her sins.

Revelation 18:

5 “For her sins have reached to heaven,
and God has remembered her iniquities.
6 Render to Her as also she did render to ye,
and double to Her doubles according to Her works;
in the cup that She did mingle, mingle to Her double.
7 “In the measure that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment and sorrow;
for she says in her heart,
‘I sit as Queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.'

Lamentations 1
1 How lonely sits the City
That was full of people!
How like a widow is She, Who was great among the nations!
The Princess among the provinces
Has become a slave!

4 The roads to Zion mourn
Because no one comes to the set feasts.
All her gates are desolate;
Her priests sigh
,
Her virgins are afflicted,
And she is in bitterness.

The Destruction of Jerusalem - George Peter Holford, 1805AD

For five days after the destruction of the Temple,
the priests who had escaped, sat, pining with hunger, on the top of one of its broken walls;
at length, they came down, and humbly asked the pardon of Titus,
which, however, he refused to grant them, saying, that,
"as the Temple, for the sake of which he would have spared them, was destroyed, it was but fit that its priests should parish also:"
-whereupon he commanded that they should be put to death. .........

In executing the command of Titus, relative to the demolition of Jerusalem, the Roman soldiers not only threw down the buildings, but even dug up their foundations, and so completely leveled the whole circuit of the city,
that a stranger would scarcely have known that it had ever been inhabited by human beings.
