Scenario "What would you do"

I will honestly tell you guys who say that you would use the bible only that you have not met the men that I have. As a prison and jail chaplain. I have met some dark men who will kill you and not think twice about it. These same men, Will kill those children and everyone in that home without so much as a thought.
Of course God can intervene, BUT didn't He already do so by providing the 45 laying beside you????

you have the choice ....Bible or gun

escalate violence or diffuse

1) no way to know number bullets left in gun
2) one man against 3
3) husband probably not experienced with guns and he's going to shoot 3 men before one of them kills him?

exactly, so use the Bible

know first hand the Power of God's name Jesus which I said out loud and was not hurt
the guy's demeanor changed upon hearing Jesus which I did say more than once

If you own a gun and are not expereniced with it that is your own fault it is called range time.

Yes, but sometimes God uses other people and things to make things possible God ( more often than not) works through means).

Again, that may work, but God does work through means. Let us take that example, you can try to talk the guy down ( as police often do, but if they keep being a threat and moving towards you lethal force is an acceptable option.

I gave all my strength to that right hand and it came out. I quickly scanned the room and beside me laying on the kitchen table was a Colt 1911 45 that belonged to one of the gang members, He must have thought he wouldn't need it with us tied up.

Also on the table laid Trina's Bible and and some napkins along with Burt's treats

I slowly moved my hand towards the table when one of the guys screamed and I jumped, I looked that direction with my eyes half closed so as not to "give myself away" and saw he was sitting on the recliner pulling Tommy's swiss army knife out of the calve of his leg.
The other two guys started laughing and said "Oh you big baby" It's just a little knife.
The guy said "yeah well I am fixing to use this little knife and cut that little punks throat as soon as this bleeding stops.
My heart was hammering, I was trying to focus through the sweat, Blood and tears, What should I do?

Hoping the .45 is fully loaded you put two in the head and two in the chest of all three perpetrators.

You should have enough ammo left if that was not enough.

Unfortunately not everyone is a John Wick.

In a situation where there is more than one assailant and they also have guns that strategy isn't going to work out so well. On the practice range where there is no danger to your life that may seem easy enough to do, but in a home invasion situation against armed intruders that will not be the case. The assailants will be moving, the adrenaline will be flowing, and your hands will be shaking. Even well trained police officers would be lucky to pull off putting two rounds to the head and two to the chest inside an average size room against two or more assailants.

The best thing you can do in a situation like the one described in the OP is to grab the gun on the table, try to duck behind some kind of cover if it's available and fire two rounds aiming for the chest of the assailant that you had already predetermined to be the most likely to reach for their gun the fastest while you were tied up. Next go for the second armed assailant with two shots aiming for the chest, and finally the one that is unarmed. Even doing this, the odds will be against you as some of your shots will likely miss the intended target, but it will give you the best odds.

In the situation described in the OP, unfortunately for the average person, once they reach for the gun on the table, the odds of successfully neutralizing all three assailants and not having themselves or a member of their family injured or killed are pretty low, but on the positive side, going for the gun will at least give them a chance.

Even if you are injured or killed trying to defend your family, that's almost certainly a better outcome than doing nothing.

So I feel that gives me the time needed to evaluate and at any moment, I will drop someone if they move toward the weapon.
Trina would remove their guns from them as I direct while they are hands up and I am holding them at gun point

There is no way myself or either of my 3 guys would let any of the other be hurt right or not they'd be dead oh well As they were breathing their last breaths of course I would attempt to guide them to the Lords hands
