Marilyn, the beast will claim to be God in the flesh. The muslim reject that Jesus is God come in the flesh. Belief of God in the flesh opposes fundamental muslim belief. Any person making such a claim if he is muslim - instantaneously becomes an apostate to Islam.

He would have no muslim followers - because his followers would instantaneously become apostates to Islam as well.

That muslims believe a twisted version of God - doesn't require any change in their fundamental belief. But to worship some muslim who comes along and claims to be God come in the flesh contradicts their religion.

Islam has done all kind of violence and evil in the name of Allah, claiming that he is the God of the bible.

When Gog/Magog takes place, which their armies, following Allah's will, will be decimated, the True God of the bible will set the record straight. The muslims will then know that the True God is not their god Allah, but the Holy One in Israel. End of Islam, end of Allah, end of Koran, end of Mohammedism.

Ezkiel 39:7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.

Yes the heathen will know that the Lord is the Holy One of Israel, as God`s word says, however it does not say that those of Islam will turn to Him. Acknowledging and repenting are two different things.

And you are forgetting that this lawless one is a master deceiver, who is cunning and knows sinister schemes. The mighty signs that the false prophet does in the presence of this leader, astounds people. He causes fire to come down from heaven to the earth, & in the sight of men. This would certainly cause people to be further deceived. (Rev. 13: 13)

The people of the earth are already blinded by Satan, so he will deceive them even further by making them receive his man, his leader.

Marilyn, in Revelation 13, the world, except the saints, will believe that the person has achieved God-hood because it will seem that he has overcome death.

This is also found in Revelation 17:8b......

: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

So the peoples of the earth will see him killed and then come back to life.

That he will be killed is in Revelation 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Now the question is - how is he able to come back to life?

It is God who brings him back to life. Because the person makes the claim of having achieved God-hood earlier, when he commits the act in 2Thessalonians2:4. And is killed for it, Ezekiel 28:1-10. Brought back to life in Isaiah 14:18-20.

Why does God bring him back to life? Because God is the One who sends strong delusion to them who bought into his claim of having achieved God-hood, the big lie.

The strong delusion sent from God is in 2Thessalonians2:11. The part about the person himself being a deceiver which you are talking about is in verse 8-10. But you need to go one more verse to verse 11.

Some will become Christians, others may turn to thinking the Antichrist person emerging out of the Gog/Magog aftermath is the messiah. There is no one answer, except that Islam will be totally discredited in the eyes of its current followers (called the "umma").

The wicked one, the anti-Christ does not really die, it is only an appearance of death.

`I saw one of his heads AS IF it has been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed.` (Rev. 13: 3)

This is a trick and a false resurrection. God does not bring him back to life. That is quite wrong.
Now you have no scriptural evidence that Islam is done away with.
Let me ask you, which is the terrifying beast.

1. EU (& USA & Canada)- is the terrifying beast dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces and trampling the residue with its feet.

You know something by its fruit. Which group has been showing that they are - dreadful and terrible & crushing other groups?

Currently the EU is not the beast kingdom in Revelation 13. But when the person becomes the beast, and them in the EU, allied with the US and Canada, all (except them who become Christians after the church is gone) in those countries believe the beast person has achieved God-hood, the personality of those nations will change.

Islam currently has the personality of Gog/Magog.

Satan is the one who `was and is not and yet is.` He possesses the anti-Christ.

`And the beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seventh, and is going to perdition.` (Rev. 17: 11)

You have yet to prove that the beast is the EU & USA & Canada. There is not scriptural proof for that.

Marilyn, why would you think that Satan dies and then comes back to life, when it says beast in the text?

And the beast is the one who will be wounded by a sword, and does live...

Revelation 13:14....the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

The EU in its final stage with be the beast's kingdom; the beast himself is a person. I think I spent adequate explanation in this thread why it is the EU. We are very close to the time when the EU reorganizes to the ten leader form of government with one leader over them. So I don't think we will have to be in disagreement for very long.
