It's 45F and partly cloudy today in Central Oklahoma. We're going to try and enjoy it while we can. A major winter storm is supposed to hit us tomorrow evening. The temperatures are supposed to be around zero and we don't know about snow yet.
Hope the storm will not be too bad...We have been promised snow but we are quite protected and may miss the snow. :)

Hi Guy's.:wave:

Looks like we have winter storms; from the UK; all the across the Atlantic "pond" into the heartland of America--Central Oklahoma--to here in the PNW; as the storm that has been pounding Cali has finally come up here.

But; the western Pacific storms' we get; come from the south seas in Asia--called the "pineapple express" are warm storms; so we have in the 50'sF with winds of 20-30mph with the gust; and lots of rain. So I celebrated the storm by putting on my lightest "hoody" and took a walk. Like the song from Paul McCartney: "you never felt the rain; my friend; till you felt it running down your back" !:clap: Felt good on me noggin too!:oldthumbsup:

Thank you so much for your prayers...It is a chronic lung disease that I manage fairly well with rest and physio every day. I have to be careful in the cold and rain so I stay home in the warm. :)
I'm glad that you're managing okay, mp, but...

Praying for you also, mp, for healing from the lung disease, and for increased strength and health each day.
agreeing in prayer, with faithinlife, for your healing. :groupray:

Weather here has been cold: Thursday noticed some frozen puddles when in town, but dry; Friday very wet at times, some of it sleet (at least it looked pretty until it hit the ground :)). Rain Sat, but now above freezing.

Thank you so much for all your prayers,

Icey puddles here also...sparrows twittering away, and they were very pleased when we melted the water in the bird bath for them in the back garden...:)

It's been warm today; for January--in the mid 50's--with rain most of the day; forecast:

Tonight
"Rain, mainly after 10pm. Low around 45. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Sunday
Rain before 10am, then showers after 10am. High near 47. South southwest wind around 6 mph becoming east southeast in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Sunday Night
Showers, mainly before 10pm. Low around 38. South wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible."

That's a total of possible up two 2 inches counting today--now this is more like PNW winter rain--not like the dry fall we had:)

The weather right now is 41F, and the wind is only 10 mph. Most of the huge Winter storm they predicted missed us here in Central Oklahoma. We did have temperatures in the 20s and winds over 40 mph, giving us a wind chill factor of around zero. The snow and most of the ice also missed us. Thank you Lord.

We have had a sprinkling of snow, mostly sleet, and it is freezing tonight so the roads will be treacherous in the morning. I pray that there will be no accidents. :oops:

Here in Australia we have had heatwaves for the last month.
There have been extreme weather health warnings given particularly for the elderly, chronic health sufferers and the young and then to the general public.
Today it is 36 celsius , tomorrow 41C, Thursday night it is going to be 29C overnight:)rage: horrible!) followed by 44C Friday. It is supposed to "cool down" to about 32c Sunday but then goes up again next week.
I hate Summer anyway but this year has been particularly bad, we have had three days each week for the last three, with days of 40C+ with the coolest so far being probably Sunday.
I am in central Victoria and sigh when I see Melbourne (Vics capital) being 25 today, us 36:(. If you can have cool nights and get all the windows open, you can sleep in comfort and the house cools down, but we're in for a couple of hot nights coming up. I have air conditioning and fans, wear neck coolers (they keep me going).
I am so very sorry for anyone who doesn't have air conditioning, even with that on yesterday it got to 30c inside the house by the afternoon.
There are certainly severe weather patterns seen worldwide now. Even the very creation seems to be groaning (as the Bible says) and its like creation is winding down.

Seasons - God is in control.
Genesis 8:21-22 KJV And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. 22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Hi HH;
Here in the PNW we feel for you; as we have been getting that kind of weather most summers for the last 20 years or so;
with day time high temps running from 100F/38C to 110F/43C; but what makes it bearable here by the Cascade Mt's is at night; it will come down into the 60'sF/15-21C making it nice to sleep. And as the cool night temps help cool the houses down; they take till the afternoon to need AC. I've lived in places; like California; where it would stay hot at night; now that was miserable to try to sleep in. :hot:

My wife and I live in a small 1200 super insulated square foot townhouse with only 2 exposures (East and West). We have a double barrier between us and our next door neighbors. The neighbors on the ends have 3 exposures. As a result of living in the middle, our heating and cooling bills are very low.

My heart goes out, and I pray for all who suffer with the heat!

We have a cold day today but dry and some sunshine,
my husband has gone shopping, some fresh air and a walk. :)
