Romans 11:22
God is a good God, and John says that we have fellowship with the Father and Jesus Christ. Therefore, as we continue to fellowship with Him, we are fellowshiping with everything that God is, including His goodness. Goodness is a fruit of the Spirit, so as we fellowship with Him, His nature and character shines out from us through the Holy Spirit in us.

In Romans 11 the apostle Paul refers to the branches and this reminds me of John 15.

John 15:9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

Romans 11:22 >

"Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off." (Romans 11:22)

"What does it mean to continue in His goodness?"

Keep actively seeking God to correct our character to be more and more like Christ > Hebrews 12:4-14, James 5:16.

Submit to how our Father rules each of us with His own peace in our hearts > Colossians 3:15.

"rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God." (1 Peter 3:4)

And there is plenty more in the scriptures.

"Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off. And even if they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again." - Romans 11:22, 23

The individual Gentiles were not added by profession but by belief. They are threatened with removal if they do not continue believing. Can someone who once believes later fall away? No, they cannot. Thus, although branches can still be cut off, none are cut off because the only remaining branches, per Paul, are those who believe. Nowhere does Paul refer to a branch that once believed but is now cut off. His comment is purely hypothetical.

Romans 11:22

Just like Paul fully explained in Romans 2:4-16 as context for Rom 11. it means "perseverance in doing good". If one turns away from the Gospel - they will "fall from grace" as Galatians 5:1-4 points out.

Paul explains that by the undeserved kindness of God-with faith on the part of the believer-that we are declared righteous. Paul also explains that neither Jew nor Gentile has any basis for boasting or for lifting himself above the other. He strictly warns the Gentile Christians that they should not become lofty-minded because they profited from the Jewish nation’s failure to accept Christ, since their fall allowed Gentiles to have favor with God.-Romans 11:22

Rereading Romans 11:17-24 would be helpful to your question.
