This has been going on for years and no photo documentation.
I just don't believe these people. They're probably seeing blankets and want to think that they're seeing prayer rugs.
The sites that spread these prayer rug stories are the same sites that spread stories about ISIS operating on the border.
There's a literally multibillion dollar global industry of selling make believe news to people who want to hear it because it affirms their world view.

How quickly people forget 9/11.....
9/11 Hijackers and Student Visas - FactCheck.org
...
The fact is, only one of the 19 9/11 hijackers came to the U.S. on a student visa, according to the 9/11 Commission Report. That one was Hani Hanjour, a Saudi Arabian terrorist who piloted the plane that was flown into the Pentagon, according to a 2004 staff report of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States. In his student visa application, Hanjour provided paperwork showing that he was enrolled in an English as a second language program in Oakland, Calif., but he never attended after arriving in America (a fact that would draw scrutiny today). He did not, however, overstay his student visa.

Of the other 18 9/11 hijackers, 14 came to the United States on six-month tourist visas and four came on business visas, according to the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States. Once in the U.S., two of the hijack pilots applied to have their immigration status changed to vocational student, but neither used such a visa on their subsequent re-entry into the country.
tulc(doesn't forget 9/11, he simply doesn't use it as an excuse)

Border rancher: 'We’ve found prayer rugs out here. It’s unreal'

LORDSBURG, N.M. — Ranchers and farmers near the U.S.-Mexico border have been finding prayer rugs on their properties in recent months, according to one rancher who asked to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation by cartels who move the individuals.

The mats are pieces of carpet that those of the Muslim faith kneel on as they worship.

"There’s a lot of people coming in not just from Mexico," the rancher said. "People, the general public, just don’t get the terrorist threats of that. That’s what’s really scary. You don’t know what’s coming across. We’ve found prayer rugs out here. It’s unreal. It’s not just Mexican nationals that are coming across."

Her comments were part of a larger conversation about how many in the region believe migrants are coming to the U.S. illegally from all over the world, not just Central America.

Border Patrol and its parent agency, Customs and Border Protection, did not respond to multiple interview requests. But CBP's Arizona region issued a statement on Twitter Wednesday that said agents had arrested people from across the world over the past five days.

In the last 5 days #YumaSector#BorderPatrol has arrested people from 7 countries trying to illegally enter the U.S. #NationalSecurity #SouthwestBorder

My guess, if they are actually prayer rugs they would not leave them behind.

What about it?

The fact that they arrived legally and had nothing to do with a border?
The fact that a wall wouldn't have stopped them?

The fact that the U.S. and others still readily deal with Saudi Arabia despite their disgusting human rights record?

Most of the Muslims I meet are closer to Christ-like behaviour than most Christians I meet, especially here.

A thought: It's better if a president doesn't suggest ways enemies can attack us in his speeches, public statements.

Why? Because some, or even many, of those those enemies didn't already think of some of those ways. When the president talks openly about some new way that is little or even not yet used, then some of our enemies may then think:
"ah!...never thought of that! I can try that!"

This sounds very much like the 'Muslim Prayer Curtain' that Obama had installed in the White House.
I believe so. Unfortunately that's the kind of "news" that folks will believe without checking the facts.

It's sad that this stuff gets reported without the "reporter" verifying the veracity of what the interviewee (or other source) is telling them. It's doubly sad that people believe it offhand.

All 2,500 of them...maybe they all decided to illegally immigrate at once? :D
@redleghunter, @dzheremi wiki also cites 111,000 Muslims in Mexico which then links to the wiki article about Islam in Mexico for more details. Someone's wrong, so rather than rely on the unreliable let's take it to their source which is the Pew Research Center and they say that it's 111,000. The wiki source for the 2,500 goes to a broken link from the Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía, since it can't be verified Pew Research Center wins by default.

It is unreal, because it is not real. Muslims would not put prayer mats on other people's houses.

If that is happening, then it is Trump supporters who are doing these things.

Not that I care about immigration, but if I did, the Mexican border is not where the problem is. Which, everyone knows. Reminds me of "pizzagate". I do care about sex trafficking, and obviously, those who promoted that insanely absurd conspiracy theory did not. They obviously did not, do not, care about truth, at all. They love bribes.

Yes for two excellent reasons. First, if you are a devout Muslim you would need that prayer rug five times daily. Second, if you are engaged in a law breaking activity you certainly do not want to leave a trail behind you.

Muslim prayer maps are rather distinctive and would be pretty hard to mistake for anything else. Muslim travelers would use a smaller, more compact size. Some come with a compass actually sewn in. Amazon has a nice selection.

Muslim's also wouldn't leave their prayer mats behind, they kind of want it to pray on. They can use any sort of makeshift mat of course and if they have to they can pray directly on the ground but it doesn't really make sense. If they already are bringing prayer mats with them it sort of establishes that they have value for these mats especially since they have carried them for so long under less favourable conditions, so why leave them behind? They aren't like Christian tracts left behind at a restaurant, they actually want and use them.

Yep.

It is very clear, that these are lies being reported. Either people are making up these stories, or Trump supporters are literally going around to do this, like some kind of evil, detestable Satan Claus.

It would almost be funny, if these were not signs of seriously sick people.

Hating immigrants is a sure signs someone is not a Christian, is my view. God tells us to treat immigrants with kindness. With good reason. While this is often expressed in metaphor, all true Christians *are* immigrants, and as Moses said of himself, in Midian, "I am a stranger, in a strange land". For we are not 'of this world', but we are of the 'Kingdom of Heaven'.

This could be said of Jesus, as Jesus said, 'You do not know where I am from', to accurately paraphrase. And, they crucified him. They treated him badly, rejecting him. Scripture says he does 'strange, alien work'.

We are *in* the world, but we are not *of* the world.

I could not find him advocating killing homosexuals but did find he supported the anti-homosexual Uganda bill.

You could have thrown Fred Phillips in there too.

There's mentally imbalanced people in every country and our laws do not support killing people based on sexual orientation.

In fact, the places where homosexuals are executed and imprisoned seem to be countries where people are leaving to come to the USA.

The 74 countries where it's illegal to be gay

But thanks for bait and switch on topic. I guess you would prove your point if there was one person in all the US who advocated what you asserted. But the statistics don't match your assertion.

Yes, contrary to what you were "reporting". Do some fact checking before you spew out your questionable "news".
Meaning there were other reports of rugs. Yet somehow everyone is making it up.
