The Catholics will tell you they have the true gifts and miracles, actually if you dig a little they believe they have the only true gifts and miracles, fwiw.. I've had many spiritual blessings while with them and away from them as well. But the recognizable ones came after I became born again. That Is The Key. I only recall fear and anxiety before that took place. Hmmm, when one becomes born again we do receive the Spirit, with Him comes certain gifts indeed and the peace of the Lord that surpasses understanding. One gift is discernment, one thing we can discern quickly is where we don't belong ! Or no longer belong. And another is where we are welcome ( spiritually speaking).
God bless and keep you Cheryl.I became uncomfortable praying to dead people aka saints and even praying to Mary. I guess even anxiety in form due to missing mass etc. Being told I couldnt have communion if I hadnt been to confession. I confess only to God now. The finding of my cancer 6 years ago was no accident though I do call it a miracle, rightly or wrongly. If it hadnt been found when it actually was found I have no doubt I wouldnt be here. Something I thank God for
You're right in knowing where we discern we belong. I love my church now and I belong at last
May your walk with Him be joyful alwaysGod bless and keep you Cheryl.
