After all that has been discussed on different threads, how do you feel about the restoring of the Festivals and sacrifices?
After all that has been discussed on different threads, how do you feel about the restoring of the Festivals and sacrifices?
I am still waiting to hear from any Messianic's or Jews.
Has the temple been rebuilt, and has there been animal sacrifice in the temple?restoring indicated something was lost. ..
Has the temple been rebuilt, and has there been animal sacrifice in the temple?...um...I'm Messianic...
Has the temple been rebuilt, and has there been animal sacrifice in the temple?
Restoring the Temple is OK, but restoring the Festivals and Sacrifices would be an insult to Christ for the fulfilling of them. It was God's intent to put a permanent end to that priesthood along with the Festivals and Sacrifices.Wouldn't restoring the temple and sacrifices insult the work of the Messiah which the temple and services pointed to?
Restoring the Temple is OK, but restoring the Festivals and Sacrifices would be an insult to Christ for the fulfilling of them. It was God's intent to put a permanent end to that priesthood along with the Festivals and Sacrifices.
Zechariah 14:16 applies to the survivors at the beginning of the thousand year reign. There is no mention of circumcision being required for The Festival of Tabernacles. So you think Zechariah 14:16 happens before kingdom come? So, you don't do the Moedim?
Baptism is the declaration of faith in the New Covenant whereby all people can enter. The Old Covenant of Circumcision was also a covenant whereby all can enter. The difference now being that the Old Covenant had been revoked.
Zechariah 11
10 Then I took my staff called Favor and broke it, revoking the covenant I had made with all the nations. 11 It was revoked on that day, and so the oppressed of the flock who were watching me knew it was (the word / Yahshua) of (the Lord / Yahwah.)
So why did God say this?Restoring the Temple is OK, but restoring the Festivals and Sacrifices would be an insult to Christ for the fulfilling of them. It was God's intent to put a permanent end to that priesthood along with the Festivals and Sacrifices.
So why did God say this?
Jer 33:14-18 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah. (15) In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land. (16) In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness. (17) For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel; (18) Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.
Nonsense! If the old covenant was revoked, then why did the disciples keep the Law?
Also the verse you quote from Zechariah says "revoking the covenant I had made with all the nations". It isn't about the "old covenant". What Rashi says about it makes sense to me -"to nullify My covenant that I [had] formed with all the peoples: To show them that because they betrayed Me, I nullified My covenant that I formed with all the peoples concerning them, that the [peoples] not harm them. For, on that condition I gave them the Torah, that if they keep it, they will be free from the kingdoms; that no nation or tongue shall rule over them."
Jeremiah 33:18
nor will the Levitical priests (priesthood) ever fail to have a man to stand before me continually to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings and to present sacrifices.’”

Hebrews 7:27
Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.
