This is several different translations of 2 Corinthians 2:10. What do you think the full meaning of it is? Feel free to post another translation if you need to.

KJV

2Co 2:10 - To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;

NKJV

2Co 2:10 - Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive.For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ,

NIV

2Co 2:10 - Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake,

This is the antidote for the judgmental attitude of many performance-based Christians who have the key words "judgement" and "condemnation" in the way they approach the sins of others.

But the verse shows that the guiding words should be "grace" and "power" in that through the grace of God, there is the power to enable to person to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh.

One preacher I heard said, "We hate the sin in ourselves, but love everyone else."

It's a matter of agreeing to stand together in the purpose of exemplifying the grace of God. That cannot be accomplished without love. Where there is a grudge, there is an objection to love. Where there is a repentant sinner, there is a brother or sister in the faith. Embrace him or her.
