In my country women are allowed to drive, I am a very devout halal/kosher sunni muslim but quite honestly we have less accidents with where im living in saudi arabia when women could not drive and there are a lot of accidents in america with a higher percentage of them being women. So why let them drive the men are the ones in cahrge of the family and are statistically less prone to accidents. I was wondering what you westerners opinions are. Also we dont have asians driving :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:.

Allahu Akbar/god is great
awesome piece of infantile trolling - well done

Quite frankly, I think you are trying to rationalize religiously motivated sexism.

Yeah, if you deprive a large portion of the population from education, options, experiences, input, responsibility, it´s no wonder they can´t produce the skills that require all that out of a sudden.
and there are a lot of accidents in america with a higher percentage of them being women.
Got any stats for that?

I don"t know that autonomous vehicles are more trustworthy than humans just yet. Basically, a software bug kills people. Sensors go out, and we haven't really time-tested this stuff yet. And if you've dabbled in machine learning, that is an inexact science. If you're a pedestrian crossing the street, that had better be an EXACT science!
Why wait for it to be perfect instead of just considerably better than humans?

Of course. I'm disturbed that you are even asking the question.

I note that on another thread you reported drinking alcohol, which is haram.

Is this a legit post?

Yes, women should drive. We should not want to treat women like children. Even from the interest of men I wouldn't want to feel socially obligated to chauffeur women around, lol.

This is data on the 10 countries with the highest rates of traffic fatalities. Updated in 2017. 2 are predominantly Islamic: Libya is #1. Iran is #9. Thailand (mainly Buddhist) is # 2. The rest are sub-Saharan African nations, with mixed Christian and Islamic populations. It's interesting data, but doesn't explain very much. Fatality rates aren't necessarily correlated with bad driving. Timeliness and quality of first responder and emergency medical services have to be considered. Also, condition of vehicles and roads no doubt contributes to more accidents. Most countries on the list have lower per-capita incomes, so vehicle and road maintenance may not be high priorities. But whatever factors make driving more life-threatening in these nations, I doubt that female sex is high on the list.

Nice ridiculous rant consistent with your usual non-factual standard...unless of course you have any stats from independent research....*holding breath* [this could be a long wait]
At school carnivals, did you ever participate in team relays with Igor, the lamest kid in the street? Despite the fact that Igor's team may have had sprint athletes, having Igor meant the team still came last in the race. This is how it is with men. Men are the best at most everything, except giving birth, but if they had the necessary anatomy, I dare say they'd excel women at even that. This is not to say all men - probably half. Half are above average, half are below.

When you have half a team of Igors, you can't expect to win a race. These (Igors) are the kind of men who need women to drive to pick them up from the pub because they're too drunk, or want to give women the vote because they're too effeminate to lead a family. In olden times, these had a class of their own, but these days, we're too civilised for that, so they get lumped in with the real men and bring our average down. Simple, really.

Not likely! I'll be spending my Autumn years in the sunny state of Mohamed Al Marafia Jhoud's country, where men are men, women are wives and mothers, and I can go wherever I want without fear of having my car scratched by the inferior driving of a member of the fairer sex.

Gee, car insurance companies don't agree with you. Insurance to cover a teenage girl is cheaper than to cover a teenage boy.
Woman drivers pay approximately 9% less for car insurance than men drivers do. Insurance companies are in the business of making money......
This has a simple explanation. One only has to turn to Leviticus 27:3-7.

"And thy estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary. And if it be a female, then thy estimation shall be thirty shekels. And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels. And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver. And if it be from sixty years old and above; if it be a male, then thy estimation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels."

Females are worth less than men, so of course their insurance is going to cost less.

As I don't foresee this sequence of events ever taking place, I must sadly concede that the West will eventually fall to superior civilisations (e.g. Muslims). Although I disagree with the Muslim religion, I think their social hierachy is much more suited to world domination. However, when Muslims do gain power in the West, they should remember not to enable women voting, or they'll end up with women drivers, and ultimately, face the same civilisation downfall that killed the West. (Remember Adam and Eve, and who enticed who to sin!)

Getting off topic here. You're welcome to your opinion. But just the opposite will occur. Islamic countries will become less authoritarian and more like liberal Western nations. We're starting to see liberalization in the former Eastern Bloc countries of the old USSR days. They're already adopting less repressive governments. It takes time to fully develop. It took until the 20th century for the West to begin breaking the hold of Christian doctrine on their societies. That's a good 1800 years or so. Islam is only 1400 or so years old. It will eventually have its own Enlightenment when Muslims begin questioning traditional religious values. They will realize that a truly preeminent society is characterized by democratic government, personal liberty, and freedom of belief. This will happen sooner because electronic communications spreads such ideas much more rapidly. The liberal West won't fall to Islam. Islam will become more Westernized. It will definitely happen before the year 2200. It's absolutely inevitable.

We should get back to discussing driving.

You do realize of course that Muslim civilization was in a period of 'enlightenment' during the early middle ages and developed a lot of math and science, but then they decided to take a hard turn towards fundamentalism. The pendulum can swing both ways.

I haven't had a chance to read the thread yet, and I don't know if I will bother or not because I've seen excepts and they are pretty awful, but this question is just as utterly stupid, hateful, and offensive as asking, "Should Muslims be allowed to drive?" I don't even know why this thread is allowed on this forum any more than the above should be allowed. It's just blatant bigotry and not something that Christians, or really any human being with any moral integrity, would even ask.

Okay, now you're just trolling, right? You can't possibly think that the author of Leviticus was talking about auto insurance, or that actuarial statisticians care two cents about laws governing vows in ancient Israel.
