Hi brother sparrow, nice to see you again. Some comments below for your consideration.

Many people have this understanding and for many it is a false teaching. Not saying yours is at all so will ask some foloow up questions. How did you come up with this understanding can you clarify what your understanding is and what law are you referring to?

Yes I believe in MATTHEW 4:4 as well.

So your saying brother that the NEW COVENANT does not do away with the OLD but is different to it, is this your correct view? Can you clarify what you mean here?

Happy to discuss some of the scriptures here latter if you have some time a little latter?
Hope you do not mind all the questions. I was hoping to make sure I do not misunderstand what your view is before sharing some of the scriptures. Thanks for your thoughts brother.

God bless.

Isaiah 59:21 (AMP)
21 As for Me, this is My covenant or league with them, says the Lord: My Spirit, Who is upon you [and Who writes the law of God inwardly on the heart], and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart out of your mouth, or out of the mouths of your [true, spiritual] children, or out of the mouths of your children's children, says the Lord, from henceforth and forever.

This is the new covenant but who is it made with and their descendants, 2000 years ago?

Isaiah 59:20-21 (NKJV)
20 "The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob," Says the LORD.
21 "As for Me," says the LORD, "this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants' descendants," says the LORD, "from this time and forevermore."

The covenant is not subject to age, new and old refers to grammatical tense. The new is not different in essence; differences occur in application; the new differs in that it is made with a different generation; I believe 14 generations since the captivity; a second difference is the new is under new management; and three, it is the fulfillment or fruition of the old, (previous applications).

The relationship of the Law to the covenant is that one cannot exist without the other; if one is broke, both are broke.

Hosea 8:1 (NKJV)
1 "Set the trumpet to your mouth! He shall come like an eagle against the house of the LORD, Because they have transgressed My covenant And rebelled against My law.

Malachi 2:6-8 (NKJV)
6 The law of truth was in his mouth, And injustice was not found on his lips. He walked with Me in peace and equity, And turned many away from iniquity.
7 "For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, And people should seek the law from his mouth; For he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.
8 But you have departed from the way; You have caused many to stumble at the law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi," Says the LORD of hosts.

1 Chronicles 16:16-17 (NKJV)
16 The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac,
17 And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel for an everlasting covenant,

The covenant with Abraham is a promise to Isaac, a Law to Jacob and an everlasting covenant to Israel.

Exodus 24:12 (NKJV)
12 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them."

Deuteronomy 30:10 (NKJV)
10 if you obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

Exodus 34:28 (NKJV)
28 So he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.

Leviticus 26:15-16 (NKJV)
15 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant,
16 I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

I don't mind discussing scripture it helps me sort myself out. I am going away for a couple of days.

I like these scriptures brother *ISAIAH 59:20-21. I have not used their applicaiton to the NEW COVEANNT before but I can see how these scriptures fit in with the other scriptures I normally use. Please take some time and look at the scriptures provided here and see how they link with the scriptures you provided in ISAIAH 59:20-21.

The focus here in ISAIAH 59:20-21 is that God's People in the NEW COVENANT are those who REPENT and turn away from sin or breaking any one of God's Commandments *JAMES 2:8-12; 1 JOHN 3:4; ROMANS 7:7; ROMANS 3:20. Those who repent and turn away from sin (breaking any of God's 10 commandments) are those who JESUS will come to. ISAIAH 59:20-21 ties in the the NEW TESTAMENT scriptures in *MARK 16:16; JOHN 3:16-21; 36; ACTS 2:38; 1 JOHN 3:9; JOHN 16:13; JOHN 17:17; JOHN 8:31-36; GALATIANS 5:16; ROMANS 3:31; ROMANS 13:8-10.

Now if you tie in ISAIAH 59:20-21 which shows that God's Spirit in the NEW COVENANT comes to those who REPENT or turn away from their sins (breaking any of God's 10 commandments), and that His WORD and Spirit is given to them we can see the fulfillment of EZEKIEL 36:26 with JEREMIAH 31:31-34 and HEBREWS 8:7-12 of God's LAW (10 Commandments being written on the heart to LOVE and walk in God's ways.

CONCLUSION: All the above scriptures link into the NEW COVENANT which state that God's Spirit is ONLY given to those who REPENT and turn away from their sins (breaking any one of God's 10 Commandments). God's SPIRIT changes the heart to LOVE and is why we need to be Born again to BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD. God's people live in the WORD of God.
Let's put the scriptures down from the above..

ISAIAH 59:20-21

These scriptures link in very nicely with Ezekiel 36.

EZEKIEL 36:24-27
[24], For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
[25], Then will I sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
[26], A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
[27], And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my judgments, and do them.

and JEREMIAH 31 and HEBREWS 8

JEREMIAH 31:31-34
[31], Behold, the days come, said the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
[32], Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, although I was an husband to them, said the LORD:
[33], But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, said the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
[34], And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, said the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

.....................

1. God's Spirit is given to all those who turn away from sin (breaking any of God's 10 Commandments)

3. Cannot separated point 1 and 2. Another words those who claim to be the people of the Word but do not turn away from sin (breaking any one of God's 10 Commandments) do not have Gods Spirit see *1 JOHN 2:3-4.

4. God will cleanse us from sin

5. God will give us a new heart and his Spirit will he put within us so that we can walk in his ways and do (keep) his commandments

6. If your interested take some time to look at these scriptures here in the NEW TESTAMENT and see how they link into the above scriptures *MARK 16:16; JOHN 3:16-21; 36; ACTS 2:38; 1 JOHN 3:9; JOHN 16:13; JOHN 17:17; JOHN 8:31-36; GALATIANS 5:16; ROMANS 3:31; ROMANS 13:8-10.

Isaiah 28:1-23 (NKJV)
1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, Whose glorious beauty is a fading flower Which is at the head of the verdant valleys, To those who are overcome with wine!
2 Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one, Like a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, Like a flood of mighty waters overflowing, Who will bring them down to the earth with His hand.
3 The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, Will be trampled underfoot;
4 And the glorious beauty is a fading flower Which is at the head of the verdant valley, Like the first fruit before the summer, Which an observer sees; He eats it up while it is still in his hand.
5 In that day the LORD of hosts will be For a crown of glory and a diadem of beauty To the remnant of His people,
6 For a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, And for strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.
7 But they also have erred through wine, And through intoxicating drink are out of the way; The priest and the prophet have erred through intoxicating drink, They are swallowed up by wine, They are out of the way through intoxicating drink; They err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
8 For all tables are full of vomit and filth; No place is clean.
9 "Whom will he teach knowledge? And whom will he make to understand the message? Those just weaned from milk? Those just drawn from the breasts?
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little."
11 For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people,
12 To whom He said, "This is the rest with which You may cause the weary to rest," And, "This is the refreshing"; Yet they would not hear.
13 But the word of the LORD was to them, "Precept upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little," That they might go and fall backward, and be broken And snared and caught.
14 Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scornful men, Who rule this people who are in Jerusalem,
15 Because you have said, "We have made a covenant with death, And with Sheol we are in agreement. When the overflowing scourge passes through, It will not come to us, For we have made lies our refuge, And under falsehood we have hidden ourselves."
16 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily.
17 Also I will make justice the measuring line, And righteousness the plummet; The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, And the waters will overflow the hiding place.
18 Your covenant with death will be annulled, And your agreement with Sheol will not stand; When the overflowing scourge passes through, Then you will be trampled down by it.
19 As often as it goes out it will take you; For morning by morning it will pass over, And by day and by night; It will be a terror just to understand the report."
20 For the bed is too short to stretch out on, And the covering so narrow that one cannot wrap himself in it.
21 For the LORD will rise up as at Mount Perazim, He will be angry as in the Valley of Gibeon-- That He may do His work, His awesome work, And bring to pass His act, His unusual act.
22 Now therefore, do not be mockers, Lest your bonds be made strong; For I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts, A destruction determined even upon the whole earth.
23 Give ear and hear my voice, Listen and hear my speech.

The covenant is the covenant, new or old it is the same thing; Christ came and began confirming the covenant (turning what was written and promised into a reality) until He was cut off (then began a perceived interval that has lasted 2000 years); when He returns those who pieced Him will still be alive as though He hadn't left.

The covenant does not change but if we consider the new covenant dispensation, the difference is the Messiah has come and has taken charge, is the mediator of the covenant and the remnant mentioned in these verses is from Ephraim.

What we read in the OT is prophesy, in the NT we either read about the fulfillment of prophesy or about prophesies still outstanding.

@sparrow I will post some some scripture on the make up of the OLD COVENANT a little latter that a lot of people tend to leave out.

I would not be able to articulate the old covenant, except to repeat all God has spoken and we have only a little of that; and even if I could I wouldn't present all the meaning of it. It is easy for me to say God does not change; the covenant does change; God's word does not change even though men do superficially change God's word with their doctrines and traditions.

God says He does not change yet He came down and took on human form and according to God this is not change. A baby growing into an adult is not change; so the covenant being realised is not change; if the covenant was not in a state of being fulfilled, the difference would not to do with change, it would be the difference between life and death. The new covenant for most today is where they say, God's covenant is dead so we can make up our own.

In as far as the OT and the NT are the word of God they are ONE, not two; or two as in two witnesses agreeing on all points . Jesus's preaching was to make the way straight, correcting the error of the Pharisees; He was not delivering a changed Law, but tipping it back to where it should always have been.

Mark is saying some who are ashamed of Christ will see the Kingdom come before they die

Mark 9:1 (NKJV)
1 And He said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power."

John is a little more confusing; one cannot see the kingdom of God unless they are born again, and one cannot enter the kingdom of God unless one is born again. Does seeing the kingdom mean seeing it before it comes. the rebirth required for entering is the first resurrection.

John 3:3-5 (NKJV)
3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"
5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

Hi brother sparrow, nice to see you. So I gather from what you have written we are in agreement from what I have posted so far? Let me know if you see any differences and we can discuss them.

As far as the two great witnesses are concerned my meaning is in reference to the OLD and NEW TESTAMENT scriptures pointing to JESUS. These are both under different COVENANTS They are one yet they are two. In the OLD COVENANT God's people looked forward to the coming of the promised MESSIAH (JESUS) and by faith were saved through the MOSAIC laws written in the BOOK of the COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 (e.g. sin offerings, animal sacrifices, earthly Sanctuary and priest hood) HEBREWS 11.

While God's people under the NEW COVENANT look back to the life, death and resurrection of Jesus and God's plan of salvation in the NEW COVENANT. Everything that we have in the NEW TESTAMENT scriptures come from the OLD TESTAMENT scriptures these two are one and all point to Christ and God's plan of salvation for mankind.

Hope this clears up any misunderstandings in my wording earlier.

God bless.

I believe we agree broadly; we use the English language differently; salvation is for a remnant.

Indeed I also believe that salvation is for a remnant *REVELATION 12:17.
Who do you believe that remnant is or represents?

Hi brother, I possibly need to sit down and do a few more posts and spend a little time to catch up on everything written. Have you also considered that when JESUS is talking about being born again that he is talking about being born again to have a new heart to love, to die to sin and how this connects to baptism and walking in newness of life? Happy to share some scriptures on this before moving forward if you like.

God bless

Who do you believe that remnant is or represents?

The remnant will be identified by the name Israel; they will have the faith of Jesus and keep the commandments; they will be called and chosen.

Who will be saved:

Isaiah 66:21-24 (NKJV)
21 And I will also take some of them for priests and Levites," says the LORD.
22 "For as the new heavens and the new earth Which I will make shall remain before Me," says the LORD, "So shall your descendants and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from one Sabbath to another, All flesh shall come to worship before Me," says the LORD.
24 "And they shall go forth and look Upon the corpses of the men Who have transgressed against Me. For their worm does not die, And their fire is not quenched. They shall be an abhorrence to all flesh."

Matthew 24:13-14 (NKJV)
13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

James 5:11-12 (NKJV)
11 Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord--that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.
12 But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your "Yes," be "Yes," and your "No," "No," lest you fall into judgment.

1 Peter 2:19-20 (NKJV)
19 For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully.
20 For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God.

John 3:34-36 (NKJV)

34 For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.
35 The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand.
36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

Who will not be saved:

Ezekiel 22:13-14 (NKJV)
13 "Behold, therefore, I beat My fists at the dishonest profit which you have made, and at the bloodshed which has been in your midst.
14 Can your heart endure, or can your hands remain strong, in the days when I shall deal with you? I, the LORD, have spoken, and will do it.

Ezekiel 22:26-27 (NKJV)
26 Her priests have violated My law and profaned My holy things; they have not distinguished between the holy and unholy, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.
27 Her princes in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood, to destroy people, and to get dishonest gain.

Malachi 3:2-3 (NKJV)
2 "But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire And like launderer's soap.
3 He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, And purge them as gold and silver, That they may offer to the LORD An offering in righteousness.

Mark 4:14-17 (NKJV)
14 The sower sows the word.
15 And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.
16 These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
17 and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word's sake, immediately they stumble.

Been there done that and faded away; there are many things assumed in that teaching, like having a stone heart which is not always the case some only need to make contact with God. A seed is sown and then a growth proceeds.

Jesus did not exactly answer the question; Nicodemus remained confused. Being born of water and of the spirit are conditions for entry into the kingdom; but there are other conditions; no unclean thing will enter the kingdom and on entry into the kingdom we are raised incorruptible. My way of thinking is born of water is our natural birth, we are virtually all water. Being born of the spirit is where the grub turns into a butterfly (metaphorically speaking).

John 3:8 (NKJV)
8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."

Hi Brother, yes I believe God's WORD teaches that God's ISRAEL represents God's Church in the NEW COVENANT. There is another thread going right now on this very topic here click me. Will be back soon when I have a bit more time.

Some more interesting scriptures in relation to the remnant.

WHO IS GOD’S TRUE CHURCH IN GOD’S WORD AND THE BOOK OF REVELATIONS?

Before we look at who God's WORD says is God's true Church, let's start off by looking at the GREEK meaning of the word Church which is ἐκκλησία which means a calling out or meeting.

NOTE: The GREEK Word for Church ἐκκλησία means a calling out or meeting of the people. It is interesting how this link to where God is calling out all his peoples from corrupt UNFAITHFUL CHRISTIAN CHURCHES to follow him according to the truth of his WORD.

REVELATIONS 18:4, And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues.

God is calling his people out of these Churches to follow him according to his WORD and worship him in Spirit and in truth *JOHN 4:23-24.

This links in very nicely with

MATTHEW 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

A Church therefore is the people that BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD. They are the called out and Jesus is in the midst of them.

WHO IS GOD'S TRUE CHURCH ACCORDING TO GOD'S WORD?

1 JOHN 2:3-4
3, And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep <ALL> his commandments. 4, He that saith, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

REVELATION 12:17
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

NOTE: In scripture a pure woman represents God's people [Church] Jeremiah 6:2; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 5:23-27

REVELATION 14:12
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

REVELATION 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Notice God's people keep ALL of God's Commandments through FAITH in Christ?

CONCLUSIONS: Now notice we have two groups in the end days according to the book of REVELATION. One group representing UNFAITHFUL CHRISTIANITY and the other group representing GOD’S PEOPLE. The difference between the two groups is that one groups KEEPS ALL THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD while the other groups do not.

Will post some more latter.

May God bless you as you seek him through his Word.

Being BORN again is a part of the NEW COVENANT promise in HEBREWS 8:10-12 to LOVE and LOVE is the fulfilling of God's LAW in all those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD *ROMANS 13:8-10. We do not have the LOVE of God in us unless God gives us a NEW HEART to LOVE *JOHN 5:42. This is why the scripture says in 1 JOHN 3:9 those who are born of God do not practice sin. This is also what baptism is a symbol of dying to self and alive in Christ. This is a bigger study though there are many more scrptures. Jesus is correct when he told us unless we are Born again we cannot see the kingdom of Heaven. Sin will keep us out of it *JOHN 3:3-7; 1 JOHN 3:3-10; HEBREWS 10:26-27.

God bless.

Words do not have precise meaning; it is the person using the word that means something; this is why a dictionary gives most common usage (omitting lest common usage).

You must realise that these words, " LOVE is the fulfilling of God's LAW", mean to 99% of Christians, "Love (non-specific) is an alternative to the commandments in fulfilling God's Law." So when you say, "LOVE is the fulfilling of God's LAW", 99% of Christians believe you agree with them; had you said what Paul said, "Moral, social behaviour (defined by God) is fulfilling the Law"; then they would know you disagreed with them.

Romans 13:10 (NKJV)
10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

"Affection, benevolence, and charity does no harm to a neighbour; therefore affection, benevolence, and charity, alone, does not break the Law." But if affection, benevolence and charity are added to other things like fornication then the Law is broken and affection, benevolence and charity become evil.

Paul is taken out of context of course and if we knew what Paul is debating when he made these statements then the statements would be more meaningful; not necessarily correct.

New heart is the anti-thesis of hard heart where compassion and benevolence is missing; hard hart was never a specification of the old covenant; it was a description of the people often.

Baptism is to do with the sanctuary service, the washing away of sin and entry into the new priesthood. The type is where Priest baptised their hands before doing priestly duties.

Have you ever seen anyone who does not sin?

Hello brother sparrow. Happy New Year to you and your family for 2019. Sorry brother but we have to be BORN AGAIN to LOVE as God loves us because we do not have the LOVE of God in us *JOHN 5:22. This is the meaning of the NEW COVENANT promise where God promises to write his law in out hearts to give us a NEW HEART so that we can walk in his ways *EZEKIEL 36:24-27; JEREMIAH 31:31-34; HEBREWS 8:10-12. JESUS tells us when introducing the NEW COVENANT; Unless we are BORN AGAIN to we cannot see the KINGDOM of HEAVEN *JOHN 3:3-8. LOVE is the fulfilling of God's LAW in all those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD who have been BORN again to LOVE. Those who are BORN again do not commit (KNOWN) sin 1 JOHN 3:9. This is the difference between the children of God and the children of the devil *1 JOHN 3:3-10; 1 JOHN 2:3-4. There is a difference between KNOWN SIN and UNKNOWN SIN. In times of IGNORANCE God winks at but when a KNOWLEDGE of God's truth has come God calls all men everywhere to repent and BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD *ACTS 17:30-31; JAMES 4:17. We have to be BORN again today in order to enter God's KINGDOM tommorrow.

God bless

We seem to be discussing the use of language. "Born again" and "new heart" are metaphors used in parables. You appear to be jargonising and literalising these terms as a Dispensationalist does.

I haven't disputed being born again only your understanding of it. Being born again (of the spirit) is required to be able to enter the kingdom of God, and the last I have heard, of men, Jesus is the only one born of the spirit and the only one able to enter the kingdom of God, born of water (flesh) cannot enter; one has to be born of water first in order to be born of the spirit later; born of water is first, born of the spirit is AGAIN.

The people Ezekiel, Jeremiah and Jesus spoke to, had a problem that caused them to fail the covenant, Ezekiel is the only one to mention new heart but is essentially talking about state of mind, psychology.

I do not disagree with the scriptures only the extra meaning you read into them.

You may need to explain yourself a little better brother your post is confusing. I have not read anything into the scriptures. The scriptures were simply posted as stated. How can you dispute my understanding of being Born again when you do not know what it is I believe and you have not provided scriptures for your belief?

OK lets assume it is all in my mind and discuss that.

Consider a diesel engine has a new set of pistons and liners; to say the engine is born again is acceptable to both English and Greek encoded Hebrew grammar and literature requirements; to assume that the born again engine now has no restriction preventing it from entering the kingdom of God is ridiculous; some might argue that the engine is not flesh so therefore there are no restrictions; the only engine that could enter the Kingdom of God would be an engine born of the spirit.

So we have all these Christians who call themselves "born again". If they refer to a new beginning, a seed planted, a journey begun, say following water baptism, there is nothing wrong with the usage of the term "born again". If they assume they are born of the spirit and are no longer flesh flesh they are mistaken.

There is little point quoting scripture when it is the understanding of scripture that is required and transferring understanding from one mind to another is not easy and is God's domain.
