haha, I agree. And as you probably have guessed, I am a fan of Evangelion. However I have met people that dispise Xenogears and love Evangelion soo, ya never know. Give it a try, that is, if your able to find a copy. Xenogears has become very rare lately. In some stores it still runs around 50 dollars for a new copy. And I have yet to see a used one out there.

Speaking of Eva, has anyone seen the End of Evangelion? I don't recommend watching it if your struggling with deppression though. It seriously leaves you feeling empty. Since I was depressed when I first saw it, I was nearly driven to suicide. If your fine however, it is an amazing finale to one of the greatest series of all time.

The End of Evangelion? >_<

Take a long, hard look at the rules on page 1 before that is discussed at all. I don't want my club locked for rule 4 violations, and I don't want to see anyone warned or banned for their posts in here. I also do not want to have to tell anyone to leave in order to keep the club open.

As for my personal opinion on EoE:

Sorry. I just don't like necrophilia.

From what I heard, EoE isn't even a true finale to the series. It was made just to make people mad. However, I also heard that they ran out of money late in the regular series and gave it an improper regular ending.

I watched today's episode of Kenshin on Cartoon Network today. It was awesome. I don't know if it would have been this enjoyable if they censored it as much as usual. There have been some complaints, but many of them complain about stuff that had to do with the original Media Blasters dub that is not Cartoon Networks fault(like the missing Oro Oros). From what I heard about and seen of the dub, I actually like the dub and think it's underrated.

>_< I think I'm giving up on FFIX soon.

I finally got my characters to the end again, after raising their levels so they would be unaffected by L5 Death. I made it all the way to the last final boss-and it killed my entire party in the first round with its worst attack.

This makes 3 times I've tried it, 3 times I've lost. If only I could find a way to make the characters immune to Zombie and to that Neutron Ring attack (6000-8000 HP a hit, and auto-life only works once.)

Hmm. Yeah, I looked at Gamefaqs, really helpful, that.

It said that a good strategy is to have Eiko in your party (as well as Garnet/Dagger) so you would have 2 healers. I wish I'd read that 2 weeks ago, because I used, as my main party: Zidane, Garnet/Dagger, Amarant, and Vivi.

(When going through the final stage, Vivi, who could do 6000 points of damage a hit with elemental attacks against the mini-bosses, was definitely useful-but in the final battle, he's worse than worthless since all the final bosses use reflect, and even when that wears off, they're not weak to anything. So all he can do is use items. :p )

While that party's levels are in the high to mid 50s, Eiko is at level 20, with few abilities learned.

I decided to stop recording Kenshin. I found out that in yesterday's episode they edited an important scene down to the point where you couldn't tell what was going on. They keep the referances to death intact, but they edit down a villan's suicide to the point where you can't even tell that he died? Cartoon Network needs to pay the companies that distribute the anime to do the edits. CN themselves is lousy with edits.

However, today's episode was probably different story. CN kept all of the referances to Opium and the gambling scenes intact. Kenshin isn't edited as much as Outlaw Star and I have been enjoying the show so far despite the edits.

I have the second volume of Princess Nine now. I loved it. This volume shows how Yoko and Mao join the team and the first appearance of Yuki's alien friend, Fifi. The way Yoko joins the team is helarious.

The Tenchi Muyo the Movie: Tenchi Muyo in Love DVD rental from Netflix came today and I watched it. I loved it.

Woo-hoo! I finally won FFIX. And with my "loser" party (although a bit of good luck helped LOL, the game missed one attack turn, and Zidane was not turned into the Zombie status)

That is the best ending for all the FF series, IMHO. All right, so I'm a sappy slob. Oh well.

I agree. The FFIX ending is great.

I noticed some similarties in the Ah! My Goddess movie and the first Tenchi Muyo movie. They are both done by AIC, though the Ah! My Goddess manga is done by a different person than the Tenchi manga. AIC seems to like main characters that look like Tenchi and alternate universes.

I decided to stop recording Kenshin.

/me grabs the control and starts recording again.

come on Brian! it's going to get wayyyyy better, even if they did edit some stuff out (which is minor as you said, except for one major bit - though i reckon it's not really that major.....) it's still one of the best anime!

how i wish i could tape it.

i went to the anime club yesterday and ended up leaving after seeing the first anime shown, which was very funny.. yet silly. The animation wasn't that excellent, and the episode was about a group of school girls trying to cure this girl's hiccup by doing all sorts of weird things to her. I don't know the name of the anime....

there should be some better ones being shown in the later hours, but i was too tired so i went home.

I love the CN version of Kenshin, but I would rather see it in subtitles and unedited. Since I plan to see it in that form, there is no point in recording it. I am still watching it on CN, though. I think you misunderstood. I love the show, but it's the edits like the trimming down of Jinnai's suicide that I don't like.

That anime you are describing sounds alot like Azumanga Daioh. It's about some high(maybe middle?) school girls, their teachers(one of the teacher acts as if she should be a student), and their silly and fun antics.

oh, ok...

Kenshin's voice in sub is pretty cool, and the way how he keeps repeating the japanese expression.... lol, that's funny.

yeah, it's funny but very silly. One of the characters' hair is actually, stick on? she can buy new ones and just sticks them on the side of the head....

Kenshin is so unique; he waits until the last possible moment to attack someone. That is rarely in an anime hero. What, do you think Vegeta is going to start acting like that? I love the reverse blade idea, too. Very cool. Zonza (I call him Zonza to save time) is cool, too. But his sword is broken. :'( That Sword was even bigger than the Buster Sword, and longer than Sephiroth's sword. It's pretty hard to do that, too. :)

hey Servant77!

it's Zanza, :) and no, i can't guess the quote.
yeah, it's a pity that his "sword" got snapped... it's kind of strange watching him fight with fists only when most of the other characters usually fight with a weapon.

yeah! i like that, lol, and he can surely talk, doesn't he? :D

Today at 12:33 AM Servant77 said this in Post #716

"Zonza's sword is pretty darn big, that it is!" -can you guess who that is?

Considering how the quote is worded, I'm guessing that it's from Kenshin.

I noticed something really odd about Tenchi Muyo in Love. The DVD is for Region 1 and 4, but there is an option to change the menus to Japanese and watch the movie in English with Japanese subtitles. There is even an interview on the disc in English with Japanese subtitles. I also found out that the English dub is on many Region 2 Tenchi DVDs.

Another odd thing is how Ryo-Ohki's voice is different in the dub(though still similar sounding). She says nothing but "mow, mow, mow", but they still changed it. The voice of Jimmy Neutron actually did the voice of Ryo-Ohki in the English dub, oddly enough. The English voice of Ryo-Ohki is good, but I like the Japanese one better. Changing that voice was pointless IMO.

The stick on hair was actually part a dream sequence in the Azumanga Daioh movie. I'm not sure about the rest of the anime series, but I like what I have seen of the manga much better than the movie. The movie takes jokes from the manga, ups their sillyness, and I found it to be less funny than the manga. The movie is only five minutes long, which is fine for this type of comedy series, but the added silliness and reuse of jokes from the manga was a bit too much.

oh, why didn't i catch that?! :)

wow, i didn't know that, why bother putting it in japanese sub?

but the added silliness and reuse of jokes from the manga was a bit too much.

*shunder* too much A.D jokes.... uh... too much A.D anime can really make your head spin, and i got that from just one episode.
