I am recently divorced, my husband was an alcoholic and got diagnosed with chronic paranoid schizophrenia two years into our marriage and that’s when the alcohol get kicked into high gear. I stayed for two years but finally left. I started dating and I was stupid and had sex and went to get tested and sure enough, herpes. I’ve been fasting this week, repenting, worshipping God, reading my Bible, and praying for healing. Please pray for me that God performs a miracle in my body and that I may be able to use my story for His glory.

Thanks for sharing that with us! Welcome to our forum, and we hope you can learn to see us all as family!

I will be praying for you that if it is God's will, then He will heal you of this infirmity.
I would like to say, however, that whether or not God heals you, your goal should still remain the same (i.e., You will use your body as a vessel/testimony for the glory of God). It may just be that this is what you need to either learn a lesson, or be a testimony to someone that is dealing with the same illness.

Please pray for God to reveal His will to you and that you have a open heart to say... "Not My Will Father, But Thy Will Be Done".

In peace

Welcome to the forums, Ashellie. I am so sorry for your marital woes. Such has become so common anymore, as I am sure you realize. As for herpes, I know little about it, but will say a prayer for you.

Christ, have mercy. Take your life with Christ one day at a time. Study your Bible, obey the New Testament, pray for your husband, and for yourself. Ask that God's Will be done in your life.

My heart goes out to you Ashellie, it's a stony path sometimes and we often go astray. Sin seems to be contagious when your soul's immunity has been compromised.

I feel for you both. Your husband was clearly a broken man and in desperate need of an escape, all too often that escape is found in a bottle as I well know. You did well to stick around for two years, in truth, I don't think he was in a fit state to pursue a healthy relationship. I sincerely hope he finds his way back to path.

It's understandable that you should want to seek companionship and intimacy after such an ordeal. It's unfortunate that it all went a bit pear shaped but as so many have pointed out, it's not all bad. A jolt to the system can often force us to reassess our lives and our priorities, which, it seems you're doing even now. I'll pray for you Ashellie and please, don't allow yourself to become too self-deprecating, we're only human and we all have to learn. :)

Praying for you friend, you realize your mistake so now repent, Turn away and go forth serving the Lord
Let Jesus fill that empty gap inside you with His peace and contentment because mankind will let you down, However Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you.

Praying for you :) We all make mistakes, but know that God loves you and that he has already chosen to forgive you. And know that just like with every other sickness or disease out there, God has already provided healing for you. My advice would be to start searching for testimonies about people being healed from herpes or other STD's as a way to build up your faith because the enemy (and maybe other people) will start to tell you that you are getting what you deserve and that you must now live with this mistake, but know that is not true. Also, you need to find verses on healing and begin to stand on those promises (The classic: 1 Peter 2:24). And if need be, find a good spirit filled church, and have someone (an elder) come into agreement with you for your healing. And don't let anyone tell you that this is either a punishment from God, or that you must live with this now as a result for your sin. Like I said earlier, we all make mistakes and do things that cause damage to our bodies. I did stupid things growing up that damaged my back (being young and dumb), but I have received healing and you will too!

God bless!

My husband was so broken and the guilt I felt for leaving is still in me. I pray for him every day for a miracle, for God to touch his mind, body and soul, that he may have peace and conquer his addiction.

As for me, I am filling my time and my mind with scriptures about healing, forgiveness, and resisting temptation.

Thank you for your response and your prayers and compassion ♥️♥️♥️

Father, often "Hindsight is 20 20", meaning we understand and can see better once we have done something than before. So I pray for this one that she learns the lesson, and receives Your grace, mercy, and healing, and goes on to live in Your wisdom and in obedience for her blessing and Your glory. May she be able to teach others and may they learn through her as well. Amen.

AMEN thank you for your prayer!!! I do believe God will heal me, I’ve been reading scripture about healing and standing on his promises and the word says if we ask and believe we shall receive. Thank you so so much for your prayer, it means everything to me ♥️
