"So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days." - Nehemiah 6:15

The power of inspiring others to serve and sacrifice will mark God’s leaders. Nehemiah had this quality. The people of Jerusalem were disheartened and dispirited when he arrived. In no time he unified them into an effective team of workers. Such was his leadership that we read of in Nehemiah 4:6, “The people had a mind to work.”

i agree about not using "deception" to motivate. It's underhanded, dishonest, and what the Bible says Satan was, and that is "subtil"as when he went to Eve to deceive her. He, in essence, used "trickery" and lies to "trap" her and to claim souls right under God's nose.

Inspiration is different, in that it lifts up others to reach farther than they have ever dreamed possible before, and it gives them the daring and the courage to "go for it". As i think on it, inspiration is chock-full of "hope".

Inspiration is genuinely "motivating".

"Trickery" of any kind is not.

Thank you for this thought-provoking study and meditation on this mild and rainy Sunday in December.

God bless you my friend.
