Well, having read up on this "rally" I can see why it's in politics rather than current events. It looks like half of the 12 of so of them were motivated by politics.

>> The Angel Families and conservative Internet blogger Ben Bergquamheld a news conference at the San Ysidro Land Port of Entry decrying immigrants living in the country illegally, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Sen. Chuck Schumer, the media and Democrats at large.

The group also voiced their support for President Donald Trump and his proposed border wall.

“Build the wall or shut it down,” Bergquam said, seeming to reference Trump’s threat to shut down the federal government over funding for the wall. “It’s time that we protect American citizens. It’s time that we protect American families.”

Bergquam also claimed that asylum-seeking migrants and caravan members in Tijuana are funded by liberal organizations funded by such activists as Hungarian-American investor and philanthropist George Soros. <<

When I put the video together, and the quoted statement above? I have wonder if my child was murdered if I wouldn't have similar thoughts and feelings.

There are two sides to this. For every story we hear about someone being murdered by an individual that has been deported a couple of times, etc? We hear 20 others about migrant families, and their travels in life. It shouldn't be a competition, but room for both.

I think they are both important, and I feel both should be heard. They should both have empathy and compassion geared towards all of them. It's like we are missing a piece here as human beings.

Sadly, in this day and age they won't see both sides. I can understand a mother whose child was murdered wanting a border wall so that some other mother won't have to experience that. It is unrealistic? In some ways. Although, we should have it in our hearts to empathize with WHY she feels this way. She shouldn't be a butt of a joke, but she will be. What the heck is wrong with us?

Instead, she is blown as a Trump supporter. No consideration needed. No doubt some people will be snotty enough to push the 'hating brown people' so they don't have to hear at all by their own choice...and others will join in. How completely broken we are as a country.

The politicians on both sides don't care either. They pretend too. Heck, if they push that emotional button hard enough...people fawn all over their responses. Yet, nothing will change. Media will push their story, and rinse and repeat. People will get all self righteous, and call the other side names. Accuse them of such gasly things. Yet, nothing will change with immigration crisis - and doing anything about it.

No one sees that others are encouraging the in fighting among Americans so they don't have to do their jobs. I guess we aren't as smart as we thought we were.

If you were going to go on about mothers losing children, why did you quote the Conservative blogger who has experienced nothing like that?

Old article just goes to show it's been going on for a long time.

Tracking down dangerous criminals often meets with far less success. A 1998 Washington Post article revealed that District of Columbia police had been unable to resolve two dozen homicide cases because the suspects had fled to their native El Salvador to avoid prosecution. These cases represented nearly two-thirds of the department's 37 outstanding warrants for slaying suspects

Yep, these rallies do look bad, my condolences that you have to suffer through them.
