Why is it so hard to believe that God created everything in six literal days? Moses even double confirms the point in Exodus 20:11. Exodus 20:11 says that Genesis is a LITERAL book. I mean I can understand why people would want to believe in Evolution and whatnot but you can still believe in evolution and what's accepted in modern science as canon but God (Who can do anything) could easily make everything in six days. So why is it so unbelievable? What's gotten you stuck? See to me if one believes the Bible to be infallible you'd think that they'd also believe in a literal six day creation. I mean after all the Bible says it was and to claim that it wasn't doesn't make the Bible infallible now does it?

If E = mc2 then we can divide and conclude that...

Mass (m) = Energy (E/c2)

God can change energy to matter... E/c2 (energy)= m (matter)
God can change matter to energy... m (matter) = E/c2 (energy)

All to his will and liking! The universe came about as mass turning to plasma energy, it came about when God uttered these words... Let there be light! And such mass turned to plasma energy and expanded out to a point of origin.

As the big bang occurred the objects projected out from a point of origin. It could have took 15 billion years from the point where God said, "Let there be light!" to the point where God put the earth around orbit of the sun, creating what would be the first day.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Job 37:18 talks about the sky being as hard as cast metal. But no one believes that the Earth has a dome do they?

Psalm 96:10 says that the earth is established and shall not move. But everyone knows that the earth moves around the son.

Job 9:6 God shakes the Earth and makes it's pillars tremble. Surely no one here believes that the Earth rests on pillars?

Even in Genesis 1:7 says that water is above and below the firmament (firmament is a solid word). In other words the sky is solid. But no one thinks the sky is solid.

Proverbs 8:22-31 describes the creation of the Earth as a process. Interesting.

Genesis 1:4 says that God made light but in Genesis 1:14 -16 God creates the stars and the Sun and Moon.

So therefore if someone believes the Bible literally he must also believe that the sky is solid the earth rests on pillars and that light existed without stars and the sun. Furthermore since when did infallibility lead to a literalist interpretation? By your definition, no one treats the Bible as if it's infallible.

Maybe ....

The Creation

1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

2Now the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.

Above .. the earth was formless and void but the earth did exist ... and this was before God created time for us ... so how long the earth & cosmos actually existed or when they were created really is not able to be determined by our measurement of time, although the scientific community does apply our time measurement to it.

The First Day - time created for us

3And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4And seeing that the light was good, God separated the light from the darkness. 5God called the light “day,” and the darkness He called “night.”

And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

And by the way there are 7 days in creation ... not 6.

Mark 2

27 Then Jesus declared, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. 28Therefore, the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”

One either accepts that the bible is the infallible word of God or not. Not everything we want to know is in it .... what God wants us to know is in it. One either accepts God has the ability to protect His truth ... or not.

God cares about the human race and our relationship with Him and our relationships with one another and wants all to spend eternity with Him in a newly created perfect earth where there will be no sorrow whatsoever and for eternity. Who wouldn't want that?

ok ... so if one is an atheist, and there is no God ... then when they die ... there is nothing else for them ... on the other hand ... if God does exist and there is eternal life with Him and they refused to believe it ... then they will be destroyed ... so if God does not exist and one dies one turns to dust (all the "stupid" christians along with atheists) does it matter that we believed in God? No. If God does exist ... then it matters greatly.

I question who is being stupid here. Possibly of eternal life or not? One would think more would seriously consider this possibility ... some have of course ... Amen!

Yeah, so atheists call us stupid ... I don't really care ... do you?
