Does anyone have any advice for people in their 20's, regarding college, growing in Christ, or any other areas of life?

I'm in college right nowAre you about to go off to college?
My advice: find a good church and group of christians and stick to them like glue.
Make sure they take Christianity and the bible seriously but are not legalistic.
Nice. Are you away from home or are you going to a local school?I'm in college right now
I go to a local school.I live with my parents,I usually just go to my classes and head home.I have a pretty good church that I have grew up in,and they emphasize supporting young people,I have just been busy working and going to school, that I really have not had the chance to get to make friends my own age.Nice. My college was a 3 hour drive from home. I was already a believer, but first time away and no rules I came close to blowing out big time my first term. My roommate had a different girl every week or 2. (after he broke up with his highschool sweety that is) Lots of alcohol. Lots of pot. A few other drugs as well.
I finally found a church that taught the bible seriously but were VERY controlling. Just to go home and visit my family for a weekend I needed permission from 3 different people in the leadership.
That church was a real mixed bag.
Living in the dorms is an experience all its own.I go to a local school.I live with my parents,
I was going to live in the dorms, but it was to pricey, and I knew I was not ready to be on my own just yet.Living in the dorms is an experience all its own.
Going from a town of about 7000 people to a university with over 50,000 was an amazing culture shock. There were more people in just my dorm complex that there were in my home town.
Going your route is probably the more easily transitioned.

I have come across that before, I knew a lady who was a doctor. She followed her parents advice and regrets ever becoming a doctor.pick the right major for you, your personality
I didn't and if could go back to my 20's would have picked my other choice
Get married young, have heaps of children, don't worry about (or waste time with) work or college. There will be plenty of time for work and study - not plenty of time for marriage and family. Get your priorities right - the other things will come.Does anyone have any advice for people in their 20's, regarding college, growing in Christ, or any other areas of life?
