Translations have been a major problem concerning the NT.
I would say the greek word "gehenna" is one of the worst mistranslated and misinterpreted.

Jesus uses it against 1 group of people in the NT, the 1st century religious rulers in Jerusalem, along with the phrase "brood of vipers", and not against the common Jews of the time.
It is used in only 1 verse outside the Gospels, James 3:6, none in Acts or Paul's Epistles

Is the "Gehenna" of Matt 23:33 the Lake of Fire in Revelation?

They've been trying to censor the gospel for more than 2000 years. In a sad but funny way, these tactics make me think of Wile Ethelbert Coyote.

As to the Christian Bible many Jews feel the need for warnings because of the nearly 2000 years of official "Christian" persecution by some of the Christian Churches which by the way is still going on today. However that is not the case by all of the Christian Churches as there are also Christian Churches that reach out to Jews, support Israel and try to do the will of G_d when it comes to the Jewish People such as Christians United for Israel (CUFI).

As to Islam; it is a totally an Anti-Jewish faith that in its own writings say they have to kill the Jews to bring about the completion for their own faith. The Anti-Semitism of Islam is fully documented in Andrew Bostom's book, "The Legacy of Islamic Antisemitism: from Sacred Texts to Solemn History" a 766 page fully documented work on the subject!

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.

First a little Bible history............

Jews practice OC Judaism..thru Yahweh and Moses
Muslim's practice the religion of Islam thru Allah and Muhammad. They believe they are the descendants of Ishmael, tho I could be wrong.

They are both semitic people from the loins of Abraham.
Abraham wasn't Jewish, he was Hebrew. So that makes his son Ishmael part Hebrew just like Isaac. [Yes Jesus was to come thru the descendants of Isaac and Jacob]

The sons of Abraham were Isaac and Ishmael.

The Arabs are the descendants of Ishmael and why the Muslims claim the birthright of Abraham over the Jews and also why in the Islamic Hadiths Islam claims the end cannot come until Muslims fight and kill the Jews! Also remember, Muhammad was liberate unable to read or write so the Koran and Hadiths were all written by others and not Muhammad himself. The Muslim religion holds that the Kaaba (The Muslim shrine in Mecca) was built by Abraham and Ishmael after hearing a direct revelation from Allah despite the record in the Old Testament where Abraham drove Ishmael along with his mother out of his camp Genesis 21 KJV.

So you are really that lacking in the knowledge of the claims of Muslims, Islam, and Arabs in the Middle East? Then why does the Quran claim Abraham and Ismael built the Kaaba in Mecca? Why does Muhammad claim it was Ishmael that was taken to be sacrificed by Abraham and not Isaac as recorded in Genesis 22 of the Old Testament of the Holy Bible?

The Islamic version states that the covenant between God, Abraham, and his only son Ishmael was made and sealed when Ishmael was supposed to be sacrificed. On the very same day, Abraham, Ishmael, and all the men of Abraham's household were circumcised. At that time, Isaac had not even born: Genesis 17:24-27: "And Abraham was ninety years old and nine when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. In the selfsame day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son. And all the men of his house, born in the house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him."


A year later, Isaac was born and circumcised when he was eight days old: Genesis 21:4-5: "And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him. And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him." So when the covenant was made and sealed (circumcision and sacrifice) Abraham was ninety-nine and Ishmael was thirteen. As you know, Kedar is a descendent of Ishmael (Genesis 25:13), and Ishmael is the base for the Family Tree of Prophet Muhammad through Kedar. The followers of Ishmael, Prophet Muhammad and all Muslims, remain faithful until today to this covenant of circumcision. In their five daily prayers, Muslims include the praise of Abraham and his followers with the praise of Muhammad and his followers.

Many Muslims allege that one indication that the Bible has been altered to discredit Islam is the story of Abraham and the divine command to sacrifice his son. Most Muslims insist that this son was Ishmael. The Bible, however, claims that the son was Isaac (Genesis 22:9, Hebrews 11:17, and James 2:21).

There is only one reference in all the Qur'an that relates this incident and it begins with Abraham making this request:

"O my Lord, grant me a righteous (son)!" So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. Then when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said, "O my son, I see in a vision that I offer thee in sacrifice. Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said, "O my father, do as thou art commanded. Thou will find me if Allah so wills one practicing patience and constancy!" So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah) and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), We called out to him, "O Abraham, thou hast already fulfilled the vision!"
