Love is that thing that has no boundaries and is always optimistic for good outcomes.
Just a lot of hot air compared to all your previous post's. Love in your world has boundaries,conditions and will toss believers into the LoF FOREVER.(Not always optimistic HUH?)

But true love, Biblical agape/virtue love is summed up in THE BIBLE right here:
Rom 8~~37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

As FreeGrace has said 10,000 times.........John 10:28. This is why believers will NEVER perish.......TRUE love of His JUSTIFIED children. A love you don't seem to understand.

But if we are truly in fellowship with Him......This love is simple to understand.

This is the trouble with writing. I can write something which to me implies and means a particular thing and others can read it in a different light.
I have pointed out repeatedly how unclear your posts are. Maybe you would benefit from a course on communication. Many of your sentences make no sense at all.

When I started this interaction I said commenting on beliefs can only be what we as individuals think of various positions.
Here's a fact. John 10:28 can only be taken ONE WAY. The words are clear enough. But you don't believe them.

The audience may or may not be holders of these positions, and that is never really the point.
That is exactly the point. Don't kid yourself.

It is the ability to discuss the point that makes it interesting, or boring if people refuse to engage and see anothers perspective.

So from this we gather Jesus uses metaphor and signs to indicate His meaning, and it is not literal.
Are you seriously trying to claim that John 10:28 is just a metaphor and He wasn't literal about what He does for believers and the effect of having eternal life?

I say this because to use the idea of not perishing to be the culmination of the faith, is just absurd.
Well, then, you are absurd. Because when Jesus says that recipients of eternal life SHALL NEVER PERISH, that's exactly what He meant. He couldn't mean anything else.

Your problem is that just can't accept what He said, so you have to twist what He said into some kind of mysterious metaphor in order to dismiss the idea that Jesus made clear.

And the condemnation of good holy people.
Those who DENY and REJECT what Jesus said so clearly in John 10:28 are not "good holy people".

That alone should make them feel ashamed.
You should definitely be ashamed of yourself for denying what Jesus taught.

But rather than being ashamed, they get angry and furious one is not agreeing with them, abiding in sin and failure and ignoring Jesus's words.
You HAVE rejected Jesus' words.

David is a prophet, an example of Godly behaviour. He meditated on Gods word and took delight in His precepts. One member of the lawless group told me at great length he hated the law and just felt condemned when he read it. It never occurred to him Gods word was working and he should have repented of the issues being convicted. No it was satan telling him of his sins.
I see no relevance of this paragraph to our discussion.

When I read these words I am grieved. I mourn for you.

This is beyond absurd. Are you trying to claim that Jesus hasn't given me the gift of eternal life? If so, on what basis do you make this extremely stupid claim?

My faith is in the Lord Jesus Christ and His work on the cross on my behalf, paying my sin debt and because I have trusted in Him for salvation, He has given me eternal life.

Isn't this what you basically noted in post #1613 about your emotional reaction to a simple mistake that led to a car accident ruined your life for a year. You basically were crying, "Woe to me, I am ruined".

We are called to be meek, to bless, to be loving, compassionate, servants of others, to suffer and to be at peace in Him.
We are commanded to be obedient. Part of being obedient is to believe what God says.

One example would be a believer who says, "we can lose salvation." Pretty much the epitome of falling away from the faith and crucifying Him afresh. Any believer who thinks salvation can be lost, is comparable to the believing Jews who went back to the daily sacrifices(Crucify Him Afresh) to maintain or keep their salvation.

We already have an example of the saved falling away.

This is a straw man argument and ignores a lot of Scripture.

The Bible never describes a believer who has apostasizes as an unbeliever. They are simply called apostate, and my dictionary defines that word as "no longer believing what was once believed", and is "used in religion and politics".

And, the Bible makes very clear who will be condemned: those who NEVER believed.

John 3:18 - Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

2 Thess 2:12 - and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

You are free to maintain your own biases, but ehse 2 verses make very clear that it is only those who "have not believed", which means NEVER BELIEVED who are condemned.

So, apostates are those who HAVE BELIEVED at one time. They will not be condemned to the lake of fire.

Further, Jesus was extremely clear about who WILL NEVER PERISH in John 10:28 - I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.

It is on the basis of possessing eternal life that a person shall never perish.

So it is eat, drink, plunder, indulge in all the sins of the flesh and be merry for tomorrow we die and go to heaven no matter we crucify the Son of God afresh. We just can't lose salvation no matter how hard we try.
I am fully aware of the fact that those who think salvation can be lost just can't stand the thought that someone is going to "get away" with sin.

Well, you can ease your fevered mind. No one gets away with anything. We know what God's policy is towards His own possession, His children.

Heb 12:11 tells us that God's discipline is PAINFUL. So quit worrying about the rebels. There's not getting away with anything, even though you may not be able to see their suffering.

Second, and a fact that your ilk just can't seem to comprehend, is that "having believed", the person is sealed with the Holy Spirit, who is a deposit which GUARANTEES their inheritance, for the day of redemption, as God's own possession.

Eph 1:13,14
13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,
14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

Eph 4:30 - And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

2 Cor 1:22 - set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. 5:5 says the exact same thing.

So, ONCE a person believes, they are sealed and guaranteed an inheritance for the day of redemption because they are God's possession.

But, feel free to continue to try to prove that Jesus lied in John 10:28, if that floats your boat.

How can you forgive from the heart if it is closed.
How can you love others from the heart if it is closed.

Closed hearted people will not understand this because everything they do, literally is like this. It is like saying speak another language. It is why they pick enemies where there are none, and why scripture is just facts and ideas without a heart.

All the verses are there, but we only understand them with our hearts.

And to these people open hearted people are alien hypocrites, taken by their emotion where they should not go, and for some into unbelief.

A friendship based on a promise is worth more than love shared between them.
This is true for them, because who are there friends, and who knows them?
When Jesus says I never knew you, He is speaking of the heart.

Our hearts are who we are, so let Jesus in to sort them out.

Fascination with certainty

Love works by letting things grow as they desire. So getting ones desires right is key.
Robot believers who cry we cannot do anything miss love and Gods faith in love and His believers.

And this is the point. If God raises the dead, forgives our sins, cleanses us, He can make us able to follow and walk in His ways. That is real faith and real risk. Unbelievers wallow in sin and say they are defeated.
They claim to know Christ, but love does not stir them and there hearts are cold.

Little wonder they hate those who express this love openly from the heart. Praise God for His love and life in us.

By the way they find it hard to accept we praise the Lord or love Him, so deep is this hatred.

And it is this condemnation I found hard, until I see were they are and why they feel as they do. As a lying hypocritical evil enemy who speaks for satan, what else could I be, unless they are deceived and blinded to the light of Christ.

I will try to be clear........THE FAITH.

It describes any believer who falls away from THE FAITH and thinks salvation can be lost.

These loser believers put Him to open shame and and crucify Him afresh every time they think salvation can be lost and even worse if they openly teach it.

The Lord Jesus Christ promises that these loser believers will never perish(John 10:28), but keep reading Hebrews and you will notice that God will discipline these losers.

And we reap what we sow. If we cling to false doctrine(loss of salvation)......we will be unstable,confused,illogical,subjective and trapped in our own hearts/MINDS. Just read the last 50 or 60 pages on this thread.

Look, advance a little in His word and you will see that the self-righteous apostate believer AND the rebellious apostate believer gets away with nothing. God will discipline them and with much PAIN if need be.
But he promises us we will .........NEVER, NO NOT EVER PERISH.

Go ahead and try to live your "do good" life from the wrong motivation. God will discipline you.

Jesus trusts love not ideas or facts.
It is the heart that guides and changes us and makes unique creations in Christ.
We are called to live by love, to let faith and our communion guide us.

Insecurity blinds us with promises and certainty, while love gives us life.
The cross is Gods love made manifest, the safety net for all our endeavours.

Little wonder legalistic cannot cope, or anti legalistic, because love fulfils rules, and overflows in grace. Will people who believe be judged? Yes. What did they believe and what is in their heart.

God knows the heart. Selfish gain and safety, hidden sin unresolved, a easy life with no sacrifice?
Jesus asks just for repentance, openness and change. God knows the heart.

Instead, Jesus IS love. And He died for mankind out of love for mankind.

To say "Jesus trusts love" is nutty.

You need to believe Jer 17:9 - The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

God who knows everything, the whole of creation who could have given us the blueprint, the technological answer to our challenge of life, but instead gave us testimonies of man's interaction with Him.

So unless you are blind, God trusts love. Most of known history we have not known much.
And the apostles died showing their love, not sound well worked out theology.

It is also why proving God exists just makes sinners more rebellious.
The problem with us has always been our hearts.

If you believe in being a new creation we are still lost in sin, then you are still a sinner and the cross is powerless. It creates faith to believe we can be pure and Holy.

God believes in love, because He is love, and calls us to love and dwell with it.
Oppose this and you oppose God.

Some translaters want to say it is beyond cure, except that is their interpretation rather than the meaning.

And this is the point. If Jesus believed it could not be cleansed why say this is how the pharisees failed by not cleansing the inside of the bowl.

If we cannot be cleansed how could we become the Holy temple in which the Holy Spirit dwells? The heart without Gods cleansing is lost and deceptive. Only with the Lord and His word working is their hope for us.

To have a gospel without cleansing, Jesus failed on the cross. If our lives are just hypocricy we are no better than the pharisees which means we fail to enter heaven.

It seems you think ultimate salvation is by a life with sacrifice? So, your view is basically to tell Jesus to move over, and let you do some sacrificing yourself.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship.
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

We are called to live a life of denying ourselves and living to Jesus.
To put on the ways of the cross and the Spirit and put off the ways of the world.

This takes effort and is a cost. It is our calling, not our earning a right. A soldier knows his duty and obligations, just like ourselves know who is our Lord and to whom our loyalty and effort is owed. But then those who cannot read and understand Gods word will not know His ways or His love and freedom that He brings to our hearts.

Praise you Lord, and thank you for the work you do in our lives, and thank you for the words you give me to share, to bring glory to your Name and salvation, Amen.

When Gods word dwells within you, the ideas you express are His, not that you know the exact place or content, but your heart echoes with the truths, and as you read your heart is made stronger in His presence.

It is strange to know something and not know quite how it is worked through, and then to discover it is a rich vien running right through His word.

So equally those blinded by an excuse faith, are blind to the ideas and words that cut their theology apart, and show how empty and flawed they are, because they cannot face such an idea, and their whole hearts deny its reality, so it must not be there.

But what happens when Gods word and their hearts collide? They continue in their delusion as if what has been written does not exist because they cannot accept the conclusions, but it will need change within and the emotional cost is too high.

The pharisees faced the same dilemma when Jesus rose again from the dead. Jesus trusts love
This is ridiculous. Jesus is the One in whom we need to put our trust.

God who knows everything, the whole of creation who could have given us the blueprint, the technological answer to our challenge of life, but instead gave us testimonies of man's interaction with Him.
No, He didn't "give us testimonies". But, one would have had to read the Scriptures and be familiar with them in order to know what God gave mankind.

So unless you are blind, God trusts love.
Absolutely ludicrous to claim that God "trusts" anything. He is the One in whom we are to put our trust.

This is how the Bible puts it:
Heb 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

It is also why proving God exists just makes sinners more rebellious.
The problem with us has always been our hearts.
Right. Just as Jer 17:9 says.

If you believe in being a new creation we are still lost in sin, then you are still a sinner and the cross is powerless. It creates faith to believe we can be pure and Holy.
2 meaningless sentences.

God believes in love, because He is love, and calls us to love and dwell with it.
Oppose this and you oppose God.
Reject what Jesus taught in John 10:28 and you OPPOSE God.

Jer 17:9 wə·’ā·nuš means desperately wicked.
Some translaters want to say it is beyond cure, except that is their interpretation rather than the meaning.

And this is the point. If Jesus believed it could not be cleansed why say this is how the pharisees failed by not cleansing the inside of the bowl.

If we cannot be cleansed how could we become the Holy temple in which the Holy Spirit dwells? The heart without Gods cleansing is lost and deceptive. Only with the Lord and His word working is their hope for us.

To have a gospel without cleansing, Jesus failed on the cross. If our lives are just hypocricy we are no better than the pharisees which means we fail to enter heaven.
Why do you keep pretending to be a believer when you don't even believe what Jesus says in John 10:28?

Sacrifices cost, they are not easy, but they are pleasing to God because He is worthy, Amen.

We are called to live a life of denying ourselves and living to Jesus.
To put on the ways of the cross and the Spirit and put off the ways of the world.

This takes effort and is a cost. It is our calling, not our earning a right. A soldier knows his duty and obligations, just like ourselves know who is our Lord and to whom our loyalty and effort is owed. But then those who cannot read and understand Gods word will not know His ways or His love and freedom that He brings to our hearts.

Praise you Lord, and thank you for the work you do in our lives, and thank you for the words you give me to share, to bring glory to your Name and salvation, Amen.
Why do you quote any Scripture when you don't even believe John 5:24 and John 10:28?

Or are you a pick and choose kinda guy?
