Iowa pitched a shout-out against Maryland today.. they may move up a couple spots.

NC State lost to Clemson.. which won't hurt NC State's standing too much (I don't think). But maybe enough to slide below Iowa & get the Hawkeyes close to top 15..

Baylor had a Thursday nite game in West Virginia last night and got blown out, like 58-14. I did not expect Baylor to beat West Virginia, I just didn't think it would be THAT Bad...

They are 4 and 4 now -- must win 2 more games to be bowl-eligible, and I don't know who they can beat.

But tomorrow I just keep up with games with no dog in the fight

Jimmye Laycock will coach his last regular season game for William and Mary this weekend (vs Richmond). He's been there for 39 years.. I remember William and Mary having some decent FCS playoff games..

(I think Steelers' Mike Tomlin is William and Mary alum ?)

Iowa demolished Lovie Smith's Illinois yesterday (63-0). It ties the greatest margin of defeat in Illinois' history (1906).
This is the Iowa team I was anticipating.

I was disappointed to see Maryland eventually lose to Ohio St. When I left my house, Maryland was up with only about a minute left in regulation..

Loved seeing Ohio State and Michigan both get left out of the top 10. Just heard this past weekend that two of the top defensive back recruits for next season de-committed from Michigan and Texas A&M in order to commit to Alabama, which was kind of disappointing. It would be nice to see the talent spread out a bit more. Also I have to say I was pretty happy to see Kyler Murray win the Heisman. Other than Georgia, Alabama really hasn't played anyone this year, and Tua did not play well in the Georgia game anyway, so I never felt like it was his to lose.

I regret that the end of the season will be pretty much "same old same old." I have a hard time thinking that either Notre Dame or OU will win the national championship although it probably would be good for the sport if either of them did.

So I had to watch the National Championship on time delay (I was lucky to get it at all). But the halftime show:

Imagine Dragons was good. But Lil Wayne...whaaaaaat?? I couldn't understand a word he was saying. The halftime show in a nutshell went something like this:

Lightning. And a thunda. Lightning and thunda thunda....
Followed by a male Sia going, "mmmmmmumummmmbabamumumbumbummumwawa."
