Our abundance is not for us, but for others. Its not so we can buy a mansion. Its not so we can live in excess. Look here at this scripture and compare it to the church in acts. The rich sold what they had, sold their lands, they didnt get rich selling their doctrine, nor did they buy huge mansions! It is not my job to stick up for preachers, it is my job to stick up for the gospel.
"The thief cometh only to steal and to kill and to destroy you, But Jesus has come that you might have life and that you might have it more abundantly"
why should anyone be grieved at someone else's abundance?
See here, your abundance is for others that lack, its not for a multi million dollar home.
2 Corinthians 8:13 Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. 14 At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality, 15 as it is written: “The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little.”
