To me, the whole emphasis on working up enough faith is actually misplaced. Rather, we simply communicate with God habitually, review with Him our needs, ask for His guidance, and after that accept what He gives us in terms of blessings and guidance with thanksgiving. I reccommend against beating ourselves up for lack of faith when we don't see answers . . . yet.
