In which case, we go with The Borg as a Party. Only, the part about "resistence is futile" won't be necessary.

And we can use that old "we are the world" song sung by all those celebrities, way back when.

It seems to me the problem now days is getting people to agree on facts. I was looking back at some 80's nostalgia and realized the internet has become the Disinformation Superhighway, and we now live in an Age of Disinformation.

That's because many people choose a narrative and then accept the facts that fit into it, rather than modifying the narrative to accommodate new facts.

Well, it used to be that loons that deny reality were stuck in their own little pocket and could only occasionally come together. Now, entire sites are devoted to it and these folks never met a conspiracy theory they didn't love. Unfortunately, that spreads to people who wouldn't normally seek this stuff out.

Both parties are already trying to do this, but they define "utility" in radically different ways. Where does your definition come from?
